    Does not surprise me, we live in a world that still doesn't even have enough medical research on women. Then got the audacity to tell women what to do with their bodies.

      I think the medical workers know this, but the problem is that the rules are made by politicians without consulting with medical workers or experts. It's all for their own political gain

      @@zitronentee- Experts? We don't need no stinking experts... We're about to be in a full-on dystopia because the SCOTUS further weakened federal agencies' ability to regulate. Republicans have been pushing this for decades, so they and their big donors can make more money (corporations can pollute more, lower their operating costs, increase profits, and increase dividends to investors). There's also a faction that has wanted to weaken the Department of Justice and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, to allow more discrimination in law enforcement, in the workplace, and in general.
      Even many regular people have foolishly wanted this. Leave decisions on acceptable levels of toxic substances in our food, water, air, personal hygiene products, furniture, building materials, toys, etc. to Congress - known for making timely, well-informed decisions in the best interests of the people and the nation. Why should we let people who have worked in the specific, relevant field for years, after having earned a relevant education for years, make such decisions?
      And now they've gotten what they want (or at least what they think they want). The rich senators may think that they can fleece the U.S. while letting it become uninhabitable. But Climate Change (which they also deny to serve their own short term interests) continues to make more and more opportunities the Earth problematic (including tropical islands). And the politicians in the House who aren't rich, and regular people, will be stuck here for the most part.

It also wrecked my fertility because I only have like a 2 percent chance left of having kids. The egg is fertilized before it implants in the uterus. In some cases, the fertilized egg implants in the fallopian tube instead of the uterus. (It is supposed to travel though the tube to get to the uterus.) Once a fertilized egg is implanted, it can’t be replanted elsewhere. So yes, it’s impossible for a fertilized egg to become a baby if it’s in the fallopian tube because it’s too small and can burst from being stretched. The baby is made the same way though.
      Also, I’m really sorry you were violated and experienced what you did. Best wishes to you.

      You're one of those people who care only when it hurts them. People who use abortions as a form of birth control normally do so because their primary birth control method didn't work and now they're stuck with an unwanted pregnancy. First, let me preface this by saying that I am pro-choice. Not to deflect but to clarify that I am asking out of genuine curiosity instead of baiting viewers. I am curious as to how a delay would be responsible for this result. Wasn’t the infection caused by leftover fetal tissue? Wouldn’t the doctor performing the procedure be responsible instead? Or, if this a known risk, it just be an unfortunate mishap? I’m just trying to see how the one caused the other. I am appalled that she had to go out of state for a procedure, but I don’t like logical fallacies either. Other than her understandable resentment and subsequent finger pointing at what the patient thinks caused her condition, are there other, more clinical, explanations as to how the delay caused this outcome?

    • @iamobviously7595
      @iamobviously7595 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I mean the thing we keep hearing from these stories is that the doctors in these states with restrictions are placed in a really difficult situation, having to choose between legal and best medical practice. I think the narrative part comes in with showing the impact on women who actually wanted to get pregnant, when in reality this impacts all women from all different walks of life

    • @sistersgrimm1731
      @sistersgrimm1731 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +7

      the delay in care meant that there was more fetal tissue to remove and made it more difficult to remove, combined with the travel of at minimum a 3-hour flight or a 20-hour drive both increased the risk of infection. there is also the factor of high stress levels having a negative effect on the immune system. if she had been able to receive care in her home state in a timely manner then she would have had a significantly lower risk of infection due to less fetal tissue, not having to use that doctor, and not going through either a plane or car trip recently post surgery it also would have reduced her stress levels allowing for a stronger immune response
