60 YEARS OF ANTIQUE COLLECTION TURNED INTO A HOME | HYDERABAD | HOME MUSEUM | YK ANTIQUES MUSEUM
Imagine living in a different time zone. Imagine having a house filled with things from the past which not only reminds you of the beautiful old times but also gives you the experience of living there. Mr. Yenugu Krishnamurthy has - with years of endless hard work and seeking - created a space that’s a pool of many cultures, practices and legends.
His antique collection started with his mother’s vintage pressure cooker that made the guests in his house feel nostalgic and connect to their memories with their grandparents and parents. He then decided that this is a priceless feeling and he wants to accumulate as much of it as he can.
He says, every little thing, every little mundane thing should have three facets: purpose, beauty and durability. It’s something he learnt from these antiques and he not only preaches it, but also practices it.
After having spent a few hours with him, his collection and their incredible stories, it was hard to come out again into the present world and face the noise and the unnecessary speed. So if you ever wish to travel back in time and take a few breaths of nostalgia, you can visit his home museum and get lost in this beautiful world to find history again.
You can find YK Antiques on all social media platforms with the same name. And you can find the address and the phone number on google.
Thank you for watching....!!!!

Just unbelievable man ....
Just cannot imagine how intricate and detailed work people from then had, something as simple as paan daan is so beautiful and everyone seemed to want quality over numbers,. ...
This does not tell us we have progressed, seems like it is quite the opposite...
Feels we don't even know how food is supposed to be cooked today ..
Today feels like it is all for our employers and no time for creativity ..
Who today would make such a beautiful ink pot , or a portable wash basin with a fabulous looking jug to wash hands...
People who made these were just pouring out their lives into it like there is nothing else they will work on, their work shows their love and devotion
:)
They should convert this to a museum for the current generation to get aware of our ancestral culture and traditions
looks beautiful what a collection

Back to history . Had our history classes been so practical.... we have such rich artistic craftsmanship...if only the artisans could recreate the same with the same zeal, our products will be seen in our daily lives and also sold overseas which would be in high demand.
