    Good morning Mandy! I am so glad I watched this before getting ready today! I bought the Fitglow set from Christine per your January favorites. I wasn't putting the foam cleanser on dry skin!!! What a game changer! No kidding! I canNOT do my skincare routine without using Vitamin C trifecta! My number one favorite skincare product! Thanks to your recommendation a year and a half ago.
    I use a mist between every product application. My favorite mist- besides biometic mineral must is, Adaptogen Soothe and Hydrate Activated Must by Youth to the People. I LOVE it. I will use other mists like Indie Lee COQ 10 and Jane Iredale Pommisst.
    One more thing! I have used Grande Brow Serum for almost 2 years. My brows look better than they did in my 20's! I was like you- 'there is a hair growing!!' The brow serum and Revitalash - my top two beauty products must haves. Thanks for your recommendations. They are always excellent products that work! ❤❤❤Lisa

      Oh yay! Yes, I thought about having not talked about it needing to be put on dry skin in my faves video, so I wanted to make sure I mentioned it here. And I am so glad you love the trifecta...I don't anticipate it leaving my routine in any capacity for the very distant future. It just does wonders for the skin.Good to know about the Grande serum! I have tried a couple in the past and they broke me out, so it took me awhile to get on the brow serum train again.

    Hi Mandy
    Could you please explain what a Vitamin C, and, what a retinol does for ones skin?
    Also....have you tried the Beauty Counter Vitamin C? If so what are your thoughts on it?
    Thanks!

    • @MandyDavisMUA
      @MandyDavisMUA  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Vitamin C is a great antioxidant for the skin that helps fight free radicals that are floating around in our air in the form of pollution that can wreak havoc on the skin. It is also great for brightening hyper pigmentation on the skin. And it works amazingly well along with SPF...both helping the other work to their highest ability. I would check out the video I did with Curology for the retinol question. I know that is a tret cream, but it's along the same lines. th-cam.com/video/I9TAGbFnOvI/w-d-xo.html

    Hi Mandy. Love your skincare videos. I received the Fitglow cloud oil. Love it. I need to add a growth factor into my routine. Which should I start with? I remember u used defenage as well. Should I go with any 1 of these mentioned? Truth vitamin c is my fav and has shown the most difference in my skin. Took a while but only 2 drops with a mist last forever. I'm a stickler with spf too 😁 thanks so much Mandy.

    • @MandyDavisMUA
      @MandyDavisMUA  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, the defenage isn't technically a growth factor..it works on the technology of defesins. I am really into trying out the Neogenesis lately. That may be one to check out. The Recovery that I showed is super potent. The skin serum has 20% of the growth factors, the booster has 40% and the recovery has 70%. Their science behind their products is super interesting too. xoxo

    Hi Mandy. I’m on the verge of buying a tinted sunscreen and am leaning towards the Elta MD. With sensitive skin their website advises the Elements 44 spf or the 40 spf both tinted. Since I am only shopping online these days I’m wondering if the tint is too dark for someone with light neutral skin tone. Some reviews suggest that it is. Since you have always recommended the Elements, I thought you would know about the tone of it. Thank you!

    • @MandyDavisMUA
      @MandyDavisMUA  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I do find the restore is a bit lighter in tint than the elements, so if you are concerned with that, I would get the restore spf 40. :)

    I have been watching you for years and I have to say your skin is gorgeous and looks even healthier than it did a few years ago. Thank you for sharing your AM routine. I use 3 toners/essences in the morning! I use the Biologique Recherche P50V, Paula's Choice Hydrating Toner then a hydrating essence just because it feels cushy. Yes a tad "extra". I love the ritual of skincare routines. How does the Neocutis growth factor compare to the SkinMedica Recovery Complex? I finally started the Revision Nectifirm. It sinks in really nicely and is not sticky which is a huge plus. I need to get the Elta MD Restore. I have the Replenish which I am not fond of - major white cast that doesn't go away completely.

    • @MandyDavisMUA
      @MandyDavisMUA  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you Brenda!! I don't think you could ever do too many hydrating layers! I feel like after trying multiple bottles of each, my skin tends to look a tad better with the Neocutis, but they are both wonderful! Yeah, I couldn't get past the white cast of the replenish either. I use that one on my kids when we are out in the summer, but I don't like it under makeup.

    Mandy! Your skin is just stunning! :) I just love medical grade skincare-ahh! Question for you about growth factors. How long does it “typically” take to see visible results? I’ve used medical grade skincare for the past 3-4 years and my skin is truly transformed. But I have to say that things like Truth Treatments (C serum and C balm), Osmosis Rescue, TT Retinol, and a few others have made the most impact, visibly that is. I’ve tried the NeoCutis Bio Serum Firm, SkinMedica Recovery, and the Osmosis Stem Factor. I never felt like I could see any visible results after using them. I probably only did 1 bottle of each at a time. So do growth factors take like 6 mos - 1 year of regular use to really see the effects and I quit too soon? I feel like i hear growth factors are one of the top medical grade products to use, but I’ve never seen the results. It it just me, lol??!! I just don’t want to make sure I’m investing the $$ where I see the best results, you know what i mean? I will be a Truth Treatments fan forever, I do know that, haha!

      Thank you Megan! So the growth factor serums are a bit different for me, because I don't see the biggest difference UNTIL I stop using them. I had taken a couple months off from them last year, and without changing anything else in my routine, I saw a noticeable difference in the dullness and overall look of my skin. I don't necessarily think they are near as important as a good Vitamin C, Retinol or SPF, but I am happy that I have incorporated them into my routine. I hope this helps answer your question. And yes!! Truth Treatments can do NO wrong in my book. xoxo

      I’ve used the C serum in the AM and C Balm at night (mixed with a mist and retinol or tretinoin cream) for a few years now. Love them both! The C Balm is more moisturizing than the serum, but both products are phenomenal. My skin is normal to combo and because of using the C Balm at night, I don’t even need a moisturizer.

    • @MandyDavisMUA
      @MandyDavisMUA  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I prefer the serum, only because I like to use the bulk of my vitamin C during the day and I can't use the balm during the day...too thick on me for under makeup. I do love the balm, and will use it at night especially if my skin is feeling particularly dull that day. But if I had to choose between the two, I would choose the serum.

    • @MandyDavisMUA
      @MandyDavisMUA  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sure! I should have expanded on that more. I feel like the restore is a bit less heavy on the skin....almost a mousse consistency, and a bit more hydrating than the elements. And it is SO easy to rub in and have it melt into the skin. I didn't often have the issue of the Elements oxidizing on me, but when it did, it really did! And the restore hasn't had that issue yet. They are both wonderful!

    I'm in healthcare and just wear the sunscreen and eye makeup but the tinted sunscreen is all over my mask so I assume it will be on my clothes.

      Hey Sonja,
      I haven't found that it gets on my clothes, but I think as long as you are wearing one (whether it be clear or tinted) on your neck, you are totally fine. So, if you are more comfortable with the clear, I say keep doing that. xoxo

    • @MandyDavisMUA
      @MandyDavisMUA  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      It is one of those products that I can't really tell a difference in my skin UNTIL I don't have it. When I took a couple months off from it last year, and didn't change anything else in my routine, I felt like I could see a dullness about my skin that I wasn't fond of. I don't think it's as necessary as Vitamin C, some form of retinol, and SPF, but I don't see myself stopping the use of it anytime soon. :)

    Alastin HydraTint is my absolute favorite, it is what I use as my everyday makeup. Is there any foundation you can recommend that has the same consistency but with more coverage?
    Also, when you use the Truth Treatments C Balm at nights for it’s moisturizing effects, do you apply it before or after retinol?
