Hello everyone today I will be talking about was lance a CRM spy based on what we found out in the walking dead the ones who live i hope yall enjoy!
I have this feeling that the CRM was literally designed to be a throwaway plot line at this point with the way that they handled the finale of the ones who live.
And if that turns out to be true, that is very sad and disheartening because the CRM was highly interesting, highly underutilized, and could’ve been great for twdu going forward into the future.
Condering they were included in 4 of the shows its sad
After watched Ones who live, Daryl Dixon and Dead City I decided to go back and rewatch ALL of The Walking Dead. I had recently finished "Fear" a few months back, so it was recent enough.
1) Yes, Lance is a CRM operative, I think that is a better term than 'spy', but potato, pototo, right? I also think that Shira (fake Stephanie) and the Plumber dude, were also both CRM operatives. Even though dialogue indicates that Lance and Milton knew each other before Fall, it doesn't mean that Lance wasn't with the CRM in between. It would be even greater reason for Beale to send Lance to the Commonwealth because of their previous relationship
And after watching ONE WHO LIVE and the re-watch of TWD, what is the time synch for say , the date Milton is arrested and when Beale is killed? If they are pretty close, we know that Beale's inner circle was ended by Rick and Michonne exposing what was going on, so any connections Lance had to the CRM would have been lost at nearly the same time both Lance was killed and CRM 'front liners' taken down, right?
2) Also, I know that Jadis was not presented as an actual CRM operative, that she was being used by them to collect people. But, I think, esp after watching everything, that it could have been presented much better if Jadis had been shown to have been a CRM operative. Just her, not her people. She could have been given the task of ensuring that no groups in her area of operations made alliances; that larger groups stayed in conflict with one another. Northern Virginia IS ON the CR's southern doorstep, about a 2 hour drive away. The CRM would want to make sure that no large group, esp like the Saviors, got big enough to pose a threat, even if it was to only expose that Philly was the "Hidden City"
3) I also think, and if they wanted to, they could always retcon this in, I don't see why they would have a reason to though, that other groups, like the Reapers, led by Pope, with a core of former Tier 1 operators , would have been used by CRM as well. For much the same reason as what ,imo, Jadis should have been.
Esp with the area of operations being further north and closer to Philly, they would have and did have, a more kinetic mission; destroy all other threats to the CR. Even though Pope was nuts, it could of , could be, written in the Col Kurtz kind of way. The "yeah he is a maniac, but he is OUR maniac". I could EASILY see Beale sending Pope out with his team to secure the southern approaches to Philly. And, this type of tactic does fit in with the tactics of unconventional warfare that US Tier 1 troops train on all the time.
But of course, we all know, sadly, that the writers of this show and others, do NOT think of these things, they just write in whatever to fit the narrative.
either for the plot they want or even for real world considerations, like how in S9 suddenly there was nearly NO firearms used. Why? Well, AMC, etc probably wanted to show a positive reaction to all the mass shootings going on. The explanation given by many of ammo running out is shown as false in a binge watch, as a few eps into S9 in, I think THE BRIDGE in S9, we hear Eugene telling Rick about what each community is good at making and how much of it they are making and how they trade it with one another. He specifically mentions "Alexandria makes bullets"
We do not hear of any conflicts during the time jump that would of used up all that ammo, so there is no explanation for the lack of ammo.
I do not think, getting back to repercussions of Lance's death, that there will be any. If we see any interaction between CR and Commonwealth, because we will right? Alexandria is in the COmmonwealth RIGHT? I think it will be a cooperative one where they fight against some other threat, maybe from France, maybe from elsewhere.
Well, there you go. Thanks for your videos!
Lance being a spy gives too much credit to AMC. As much as I’d like them to have a big picture planned - I don’t think they do. I don’t think CRM is relevant to connection anymore
I do think that there was a connection between the 2, that much was hinted at, but it wasn't like Lance was acting on their behalf in secret: Pamela clearly knew about it too.
@@WarGrowlmon18no. The CRM and commonwealth had nothing to do with eachother. If Lance was in cahoots it would have been noted in TOWL.
@@OWmyDragonballz They showed the train in one of the flashbacks. And what else could the secret alliances and Designation 2 be??? That just screams CRM
I think he had to have been, bc he did have that secret gang of people, like Eugene’s fake girlfriend. They could have all been CRM operatives
@@WarGrowlmon18 CRM doesn’t exist anymore. As much as I WANT to agree with you, I think the writers wrote that without having any actual answer as to what ‘Designation Two’ was meant to be. Maybe they considered the idea of it being CRM, but the opportunity for that has passed. We will likely NEVER get an actual answer to the Designation Two mystery- so if you choose to make it CRM in your head canon then all the power to you.
I would bet anything he was working with CRM. His comment about "ceratin allies", the list of missing people, Lances 2 henchman he had, destination 2. Even during his death scene he kept looking up into the sky like he was waiting for someone to show up. I argued this for the past couple years and it's so upsetting that will never have an official answer. On Talking Dead, Gimple even said the Commonwealth and the CRM are aware of each other. I'm really getting tired with them setting up these possible connections and leaving us all hanging
what if the crm sent that herd to the commonwealth??? They found out that something might have happened to lance and then they tried to take the commonwealth down but failed.
My headcanon is Lance was a CRM plant and he is also the Govenors Brother
So that may mean Lance Blake is the governors actual real name-- Phillip Blake supposedly being the name of his brother that he stole (according to a concept for a governor origin spinoff)
You do walking dead so well that its hard to imagine you doing something else but if you really want to do something else maybe go retro with the series Lost.
Thank you for this video! I loved Lance in the show, and always thought there was more to him as far as his secret alliances went. I'm not sure now that he himself was a CRM spy, some sort of operative or liaison for other spys maybe. Shira and Roman were more likely actual spies. In a TOWL flashback scene, I would've loved to see Lance shown meeting with the CRM in some way! 😀🧟♂️❤️
Not sure if he was a spy only because Pamela seemed to know about what he was talking about with the whole secret alliances thing and she was also involved in what was presumably trading people to the CRM.
I believe he knew about the CRM but not a spy. I think he wanted to be a spy. But had to prove himself
I really feel like you should talk about other drama, fantasy, sci fi movies and shows. I feel like character backgrounds and season reviews would definitely be a great addition to the channel, you could also talk about games with heavy story elements like resident evil or maybe red dead redemption 2. My opinion on what you should start talking about next is definitely lost. Phenomenal show
Resident evil and red dead redemption 2 are one of my most favourite games of all time thank you for the suggestion
What about fake Stephanie? She is a good candidate for an agent.
She was one of Lance's people and he clearly had ex spies working under him: Toby Carlson was ex CIA.
Yes, Lance had 2 " "henchman" def CRM related
They definitely weren't working for ol Pam
I think lance is from the commonwealth and is more so a handler for the spy’s and brokers deals and said spy’s are from the CRM but also work for him a bit
Awesome video 🎉
Missed you bud 🎇🎆
Would u please do one of these videos on a amazing story telling game the last of us and the last of us part two please love to hear what u think and everything ❤
Nice. Another twd storyline that was set up that we will get no pay off for.
Lance said that they wouldn't want certain secret alliances to get out as a way of threatening Pamela when he was taken down. That's almost certainly the CRM but Pamela clearly knew about it too. Designation 2 sounds like they were trading people to the CRM like Jadis' people were.
@@WarGrowlmon18 exactly. They set up these plot lines and then never did anything with them. And it looks like the CRM is basically completely done with. So confusing how they can fuck up something like that so bad 😂 even Scott gimple hinted that the commonwealth may have ties with the CRM, but we would have to wait to find out. Guess that’s never happening…
He's dead, so it doesn't matter now.
Have you seen Puss in Boots The Last Wish?
I think it was Shira and Roman
Nah they were Lance's goons. I think the CRM had a similar relationship with the Commonwealth to the one that they had with Jadis' people.
@@WarGrowlmon18 Shira was too good to not be a spy, she also escaped which adds to it.
@@brianachim2670 We don't know if she survived or not. Mommy Dearest might've just been saving her for Zombie Son's next meal. Besides we know that Lance had ex spies in his employment: Toby Carlson was ex CIA
@@WarGrowlmon18 They confirmed that Lance knew Pamela for decades so he wasn’t a CRM spy.
@@brianachim2670 My point is that the CRM wasn't working in secret here, so I don't think ANY of them were spies for them.
