How did you register? It wont allow me to because I am over the age of 40 when my friends doctor is saying it is fine up to the age of 60 odd (I am 42)
I am willing to make a donation for a very sick friend but seems there is no way to do it in 2024 🤷🏻♂️ I called my hospital, 111 and then I just spoke to my GP over the phone and when I asked him how do I go ahead and make a stem cell donation, his reply was (and I quote) “Oh I wouldn’t have a clue about that. Let me look it up online for you” So yeah. I tried the Anthony Nolan site. I tried the NHS website , both to no avail. So if you are a terminally ill individual and are reading this. There ARE willing donators out there but there seems to be a very poorly managed infrastructure to allow them to do so. Total shambles of a healthcare system. Hate this country from the bottom of my heart
What side effects could those Drugs you have to take before cause? It is what would make me nervous as well. What are major causes that would make people ineligible?
I've been identified at a match after 20 years waiting on the registry. My donation is on July 17th this year 2023. Absolutely PUMPED!!!!
