Much more attractive than the stark construction that garnered the many complaints. I am sure this resort will become very popular as word travels. Thanks for the walkthrough, I always appreciate something new and different.
I do like it a lot more than I thought for sure, specifically the outside area. I’m glad you can finally walk to the Grand Floridian again, I look forward to using that really often! Thanks so much Bill😃
It looks nice, but not impressive. It just looks like everything else. Yes, I remember when Disney made things to look unique. Now they just make them to look like everything else.
@@scottkronenberg Ha, that is so true Scott!😂 I am looking forward to that lounge at sunset one night, there’s some sticky short ribs that look good! 😉🌸😎🦋🍿
The interesting thing about DVC is that it’s a showing of how many people slept through their high school math classes. I think Disney laughs at them as they take their money.
And the lesser ones laugh back and flip the bird at Disney for LGBTQ+ hypocrisy, Annual Pass cut backs, and basically serving rich Disney Adult paying their stocks
With flat surfaces everywhere in the Lobby - floors, walls, the columns, ceiling, art work, furniture, etc, it must be VERY noisy in that room. It's a shame that they made the decision to only have a minimal amount of tropical plants in that huge Lobby to help with acoustics. I doubt that many Guests will feel comfortable just hanging out there. Also, I wonder how long it will be before a child dining with his parents leans over too far and tumbles into the water feature next to the seats in the outdoor Bar and Grill ... In my humble opinion, The Great Ceremonial House and Lobby of Disney's Polynesian Village Resort are far more welcoming than the Tower. Thanks for sharing your excellent video! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Yes I noticed the same about the lobby, it was super noisy in there when there’s a lot of activity. Hopefully they’ll decide to add some plants in there, that’s an easy way to enhance that lobby. Thanks so much as always Gerry!!
hmmm…some call backs to Aulani with the rock and wood carved decor…but bringing out Moana theming already at the Poly. I like what I see so far…maybe need a stay there on a future visit (maybe the previously mentioned resort focussed extended weekend visit?). Theming aside, that guest-room hall reminds me of Grand Destino Tower hallway. Thank you for the quick view, 4K!! Looking forward to a stay-cation video in the future!!
Overall I do like it more than I thought, I had a feeling that would happen lol. I like the outside the most, that walk to the Grand Floridian is a lot nicer now in my opinion! The smell in the lobby actually reminded me so much of how Gran Destino Tower smelled on its opening day, I guess that’s just that brand new tower smell haha. Thanks so much as always!!
🌺Was wondering if you'd make your way there😎... Well, the path is open again! Huzzah. Could it be any closer to the water, though? Speaking of water, those pool of water at the edge of the restaurant are really cool. Though subtle, I don't know how I feel about the interior and the Moana callouts.🤔 I tried being open minded but it didn't impress me looking at it for the first time though. I bet the place smelled new LOL. I would stay there if points ever decrease but DVC folks will eat this place up. If your picky self ever eat in there, let us know if it was worth it cause the view is killer. Thx 4💜💜
I really like the exterior the most! The path going to the Grand now is much nicer, compared to before in my opinion. What I miss the most is the beachy area, which is now barely any beach at all and yes you are so close to the water now lol. The interior kinda felt like a fancier Caribbean Beach than the Poly to me, and it did smell very new. It had a nice scent in there, but it also kinda smelled like Home Depot when you first walk in😂 That restaurant does look really cool, the menu has a couple things that would fit my cuisine lol so I’ll have to try it! Thanks so much Liz😊
Is it just me or is it incredibly noisy? Lunch parties being shouted out in the lobby. Feels noisy, cold, and just a bit Hilton Garden Inn-like to me. But thanks 4K Dis for the tour! Love your channel.

I miss the days when Disney wasn't afraid to be cheesy and over the top with their theming
It looks nice, but not impressive. It just looks like everything else. Yes, I remember when Disney made things to look unique. Now they just make them to look like everything else.
I miss when Disney went big on themes. First thoughts on the lobby and pool are that it feels empty.
And yet somehow the lobby still feels cramped and small.
Yay! We can walk through to the Grand Floridian again!
Great job as always 4k… thanks!
@@wdwexploreandchill sounds like another 5 mile walk!
@ woo hoo Craig! 😉🎉
Sad when that’s the best part of the opening of this joint Veronica. 🤔🏗️🍿
Haha I agree, that’s what I’m most excited about with this!! Thanks so much as always 😃

Glad the walkway to the Grand Floridian is back open!
Yep same here, that’s what I’m most excited about!
The only POV that I'll check on this new Island Tower. Thank you for the walkthrough!
Thank you so much! 😊
Now this was better than I expected it's so Polynesian like but yet so modern I'd say they did a great job
Think it looks great. Thanks 4K for the walkthru.

I don't get any south see vibe from the outside. It's like they stuck an apartment building next to the poly😢😢😢
Love it 🗿🛶🌺🤎

its not flat at all, everything is very textured from columns to paitings

OG Poly, new Poly, Boardwalk or Port Orleans…
Going to look to book in the next few weeks.

Yep it was pretty noisy yesterday. Went back there today and it wasn’t nearly as crazy in there though. Thank you so much!!
That’s good to hear!
My name is Craig Dennis i wish you a nice happy holiday season👍👍👍👍👍
Happy Holidays to you and yours also Craig!!
I like it. Modern. Clean. But it’s not the OG Poly. It’s missing something still.
I like it more than I thought too, but it definitely feels like a different place to me and not connected to the Poly
did I beat Craig?
Some of us work Liz lol.
Maybe it'll make the old one less popular. I like that one far better. This one just doesn't have that island sorta feel.
Meh. It’s all incredibly underwhelming
But at least we can walk through again to the Grand Floridian. 😉
You and your silver linings 😊
