Having had the privilege of attending the premiere and immersing myself in this artistic delight, I must say this movie review hits the mark perfectly!
O was when we first realized this kid was going places. A fantastic performance for a 19 year old! The independent films he’s done show his versatility. We thought his Ethan Chandler knocked it out of the park. A couple of weeks ago we watched Ida Red (2021) streaming. Sooo good. My personal fav & best performance is August (2010?) which he also produced. My hubby watches Bunraku (2010) a lot. That’s his fav film. #3 for me 😊
Good i was worried that he wasn't a serial killer which would disappoint me çuz movie is interesting only cuz pov of the killer ukno. I don't wanna see it if twist is he's not a serial killer or it's his daughter cuz that sounds dumb n stupid. Gonna see it Thursday hope he's the killer n i hope I enjoy it I think I will.
You have to remember what M Knight said in his promo tours. It is different from the other toys in the sandbox. The concept of a serial killer (12 victims in 7 years) taking his daughter to a pop star concert and getting trapped there is hilarious 😂 Yes, it’s a suspenseful thriller, but it’s also over the top parody. Some comic bits. No big twist but a smooooth reveal. I’m surprised at the #of poor reviews. Did they not “get it”? Trap is pretty divisive, a lot of lovers, a lot of haters. Hubs and I give it 4* taking a bit off because Saleka is badly miscast. Shame on dad.
I like how you tell that there’s tongue in cheek tone. I think some people wanted this to be in his usual mold and then are disappointed to find it’s different. He’s tweaking the genre. We looooved it. ( We cut down a 5th star because his daughter is miscast in the speaking role. Wonderful singer/songwriter but she’s not an actor yet. Bad on you dad 🫤)
You’re new to Hartnett? Boy you have to catch up 😊 His million independent films show his versatility. But he’s always been a terrific actor. Watch the popular series Penny Dreadful. Amazing 3 seasons 2014-2016. Last year he put out 4 performances: Oppenheimer, Guy Ritchie’s Operation Fortune, Black Mirror S6 E3 (which won an award), and a UK series The Fear Index. We’ve been huge fans for over 20 years!
There is a character I really wanted him to kill super bad I wanted the post credits scene to be her dead body in the bathroom but that post credits scene 😂😂😂😂😂
A funny comment(does not reflect my own personal view😆) from another review video: He just makes movies for paying his bills and his wife’s expenses, period. His movies have been crap for years now. I don’t why they keep giving him money to make crap. Dude needs a break to India and come back with a clean head. The part about them giving him money is way off, because he’s been self financing a lot of his recent movies and he’s one of the few headliner directors who’s actually making original movies. Maybe he should also try his hand at writing and directing some Bollywood movies, as well?🤔😆
@@hendrixlove4713 Dude, shut the hell up. It's pathetic how you lose your mind just because a successful Hollywood director happens to be of Indian origin. You're a miserable, racist a**h*** P.S. : The movie Trap is a piece of shit, without a doubt
🎉❤
