Love these breakdowns! Super excited about Shakir. He reminds me of Beasley with the beautiful route running and knowing where to sit in the holes. But then some Davis in there with his sideline work, catching with his hands, and playing bigger than he is.
Love him in Dani’s’ old role.

@@Cover1 ya i understand that some diehard bills fans don't get any excitement out of preseason games, but when you look at the talent debth in the running game and play action play calls, and the bills picks for the slot wr and #2 corner and even backup QBs it's tough for me to not believe in what they are doing more than before.
I saw these tests when he was drafted with Boise st film... He really is high IQ receiver he's confident in the catch and more concerned about thinking about after the catch while he's catching the ball.. like he knows when it's going to be money so he is already thinking about getting that extra 5-10 yards after catch.. like that outside inside back tire where he did like a U turn and got line 8 YAC with the corner right next to him with an easy tackle normally... I been thinking this guy is going to be serious I see maybe him starting at z slot and switch from behind the line to the boundaries without any problem he's got suffering awareness and great at using the boundary to his advantage.... Haven't even seen him catch balls yet from JA17 THAT WAS FROM Barkley.. can you imagine when THEEEE QUARTERBACK of the future of the NFL throws him almost being able to connect 2 does together or throw him in stride since he's working at that nosy this offseason.. one rookie could be a great not just great but like in a few years be at Diggs level great

Brett Kollmann posted a video a little while back about Shakir, referring to him as a 'Diet Deebo' (Samuel). His instincts and versatility are off the charts. Might be early but I think we can chalk this up as another brilliant pick from Beane.

Nothing about the preseason excites me. I’ve seen too many players over the years excel in preseason and fail miserably when the real games start. Playing well in the preseason has no bearing at all on how one will perform in the regular season in any way shape or form. I hope he’s good. We’ll see.
This is why I wanted the Packers to draft him. Very intelligent and would have the chance to learn from Randall Cobb a great slot reciever in his prime.

I’ve watched the first five minutes so far. One other thing I keep noticing is how OJ Howard reacts after the ball is thrown to another receiver. Not concerned to get to the ball, seemed to be just going through the motions, lazy? I can see why he was cut
