Where is part 2... It's written part 3 here...!! M i missing something? Please upload it. I even checked it on your website, it says "Coming Soon". And you're the best organic teacher on earth. I love your voice too. ❤️
Hey Leah, Can I ask you why you are talking R and S here in regards to rotation, when in an earlier video you make it very clear that rotation does not correlate with R and S, but rather D and L?
I'm sorry, but I don't offer tutoring through TH-cam comments. For help with this and more, I recommend joining the organic chemistry study hall. Full details: leah4sci.com/join
Thank you so much, Leah I have a question can you help me please: does specific rotation of neat sample equal to pure rotation of solution?, if not so that how can we get the value of alpha pure? please help me please, thanks a lot.

No, it should not be negative in quantity. It represents the percent that is in excess. If you ever see a negative sign, it might be a negative sign of rotation, which is actually telling you the (-) enantiomer is the one in excess. NOT that it is a negative quantity.
amazing!!! you cleared all of my doubts. Now I feel like I can do any question related to this. You are truly and amazing teacher
Thanks for your kind words. So happy to help you understand!

R=D and S=L. So the difference is the same.
Awesome lecture Hats off 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤❤
Thank you so much!
Great explanation
Thank you!
What about when molecules have more than one chiral center? Like when it has both and R and an S?
i think if combound have both s and r they are meso compound and optically inactive
I don't know that you'd be tested on something like that in a regular organic chemistry course
Lea, you are star!
Thanks you!
you are very great teacher
Thank you :)
Well explained.
Glad you liked it!
