wow! I just met this guy on the road this morning driving this car on hwy 1! he is up to 145k miles now! he was very cool to talk with for a few minutes. I got to chase him back up on our way north! One of the best drives of my life!
When its 💩 winter weather, and dark nights draw in, i drop back into this wonderfull cinematic experience, phil delivers it so well, the calming voice, the scenery, and that epic soundtrack. Remind me of why i keep my car when im not in it ❤❤
phil? 🤔 is he someone I should know? I met him and talked with him on a morning drive almost two years ago and have shared the road with him enough to recognize each other on our morning drives when we cross paths, but I never exchanged names. is he famous?, 🤷🏼♂️ 🍻
Bat Dimen those rock walls bring out so much character in the sound of the 3.8. The sounds I heard while shooting this video will forever be ingrained in my memory.
You can see why Porsche used these roads to launch the new Turbo S and Speedster. Good to watch a local use what Zuffenhausen und Shakwerks created for moving zen. Great vid tyvm.
Bill Bligh thanks for watching! Getting to experience highway 1 in the passenger seat in this car was truly something else. The sound coming off the rocks and echoing through the canyons is ingrained in my memory. The lightweight flywheel and shorter gear ratios add so much life to an already spectacular platform.
Nicely done! What a car and kudos to the respect given to all of those involved in getting this perfect driver’s weapon justice. Simply impressive and inspiring to see mileage on such a car, thank you for sharing! Big Sur is now on my list of must do with my GT3-T.
Fuji Monk glad you enjoyed it! The owner is a true car enthusiast and I highly recommend you make the trip to Big Sur. Early mornings are the best if you want to avoid the crowds 👌🏼
Loved the video, it was most inspiring. I drove the same route in my 911S this weekend, it was an incredible ride, on the way north. On the way back down south, I hit a rock slide about half way between Monterey and Cambria, unfortunately got a puncture in my front tire. No cell service, fortunately met up with the California highway patrol officer that presented your good self with a ticket last month. Most inspiring ride, now I understand why I bought a 911.
I just bought a 2016 one in Carrera White last weekend instead of the new Corvette. I can’t wait to take it out on some nice spirited drives! I really loved watching this video. One of my favorites in aesthetics and sound. Could listen to that exhaust all day.
I don’t think you’ll be disappointed with your decision. It is an amazing car, especially when you add a few touches from Sharkwerks. Glad you enjoyed the video and enjoy your new GT4!
Really enjoyed your video. Alex at Sharkwerks is awesome. They took a stock 981 GT4 & redefined it. Just watch Harry Catchpole driving the Sharkwerks GT4 on Angeles Crest Hwy & giving you an honest opinion, he doesn't even have to speak & you know what the car does to human emotion.
Alex Waterhouse thank you! The owner certainly is getting the most out of his ownership. As a matter of fact, this is his second GT4. Not a bad retirement plan of you ask me :)
I hope to own a GT4 within the next 12 months. Forever been a fan of porsche since a child and still have all my porsche model cars I bought from the main dealer as a child. I wonder if there’s a similar company to sharkwerks in the Uk where I can look at adding some extra cells once I get mine.
leerud69 it is such a great car and Sharkwerks does some amazing work! I know they have some clients in the UK so you might look into them when the time comes and you have your own GT4.
Thank you. This has the most beautiful philosophy and sentiment. Very artfully done and inspires me to set up a drive with my young adult son from LA to SF on PCH.
Wonderful video and have some questions. I (in Canada too btw) am tempted by a used 2020 GT4, low mileage. However, they are asking OVER the MSRP price of this car and the GT4 RS is around the corner (that said, so will the new GT3 RS). I don't have enough yet for the GT3 RS, but I could squeeze the GT4... all the mods you listed are the stuff of gold and what I would plan on doing (with little variation, you hit the key notes). I plan to drive but also track. I do prefer the smaller, 2 seater layout of the GT4, perhaps even more so than the 911s, but here is the question; by the time I buy the car, add all the modifications (not cheap) I will still be left with a car in the shadow somewhat of the GT3 RS (esp on track, the Cayman Complex they say...). I MUCH prefer a manual and I do suspect that for a GT4 RS it'll be PDK only and still a notch behind what theGT3 RS offers for total performance. It's a tough one.
A really exceptional video. Hat off to you. Loved watching it. Are you still enjoying your Sharkified GT4? Have you had to do any work to the suspension during the 80,000+ miles (eg new dampers etc?). I’ve just purchased a 981 GT4 and have very similar plans for it that you have undertaken.

Awesome. That naturally aspirated flat 6 just sounds so good.

So well articulated and cinematic
What a beautifully made video! Artistic, cinematic and quite philosophical, well done sir!
Without a doubt one of my favourite videos on the internet.

Car Tales Absolutely! Thanks for sharing this great video of yours. I’m in for the ride ASAP! 😋
Well done Sir. This video is worthy of millions of views. Thoughtful, touching and passionate. Thank you for your efforts.

Great video - maybe a series on your favourite driving roads with the GT4 and food destinations is brewing!
Beautiful video. Sub! Glad to see your GT4 gets used rather than sitting in a garage waiting for its value to go up.

0:51 - 1:02; that shot was insane. Incredible perspective.
Amazing video production! Earned a sub
S M thank you so much! Appreciate the support 👊🏻
This completely summarized that "magic" of our love for cars and the emotions that come with it.
You have great taste!!! Car choice Word play .Driving location..etc keep driving!!!
Great cinematic shots, driven this years ago sadly in a rental but it's still a great experience. You would probably like what's in my back yard too👍
Test Drive Scotland would love to make it out to Scotland. The scenery out there is breathtaking

What a car. What a view. What a video.
Thank you!
The opening overlooking the ocean literally made me gasp! Thanks for this video.
This guy's zen, comfortable-with-life demeanor is as impressive as the car, which is pretty damn impressive.
Thank you. This has the most beautiful philosophy and sentiment. Very artfully done and inspires me to set up a drive with my young adult son from LA to SF on PCH.
Honestly just beautiful
Fantastic,I am not going without subscribing. And by the way, Porsches are reliable. Don't take my word for it. Just go to 3:15.
Shout out to dinosaurs. They died so that we, 63 million years later, may enjoy our dream cars.
What??
Love that wing
SalterAero risers give it a bit more of an aggressive look 👌🏼
@@CarTalesOfficial I love their risers on my GT4. The V1’s for the win.

Incredible shot at 1:05! Would you mind telling me exactly where that is in Big Sur?

I drove my 914 across the country to drive these roads
Give them the car you silly man
They will remember. 🤔
I can only afford an s2000 :(
S2000 out there wouldn't be too shabby either!
Great cars. Mid-engine placements... brothers from other mothers.
