As an autistic person I think I can kinda explain the pressure thing. A lot of autistic people find non-human pressure applied to them to be calming ( unless it's too restrain them in some way ), I myself I like thick blankets as do other autistic people. I like to use them even in the summer but have to take it off at some point as it gets to hot. Having pressure on you is sorta like a hug, except we don't really like to be hugged, so having pressure put on us is a good replacement. It's comforting and calming. Hugs from people just aren't like that, they feel uncomfortable. Don't ask me why they just do. I've reached a point where I'm somewhat okay with hugs and some people don't ever reach that point and that's okay. I don't have nightmares but I feel like I sleep easier when I have my dog daisy snuggling with me.
Thank you, Dragon, for your post. Dogs are such fabulous creatures and you are lucky to have a Daisy to snuggle with. I adore dogs but work full time and can't afford a dog walker. When I retire I will get one. Thanks again for the explanations you gave--and for letting us know what your world is like. Best to you and Daisy. And NO hug from me, though one from my lovely cat, Talia...
I love all animals. I do believe they are better than we are and they make the world so beautiful. My current best friend is a tortoiseshell cat girl named Talia, who came from a shelter. Before Talia, I had Panther for 16 years, Isis for 10 and Panther's sister, Pearl, alas for only 3 years. All marvelous, marvelous creatures that I have adored and adore, and am so very grateful for. Thank you, The Dodo, for your wonderful TH-cam site!
DragonofEpics Yes, I think it's a stress thing that becomes habitual for a variety of people, even without Austism. I myself like to feel pressure on some areas. The thick blankets aswell, for the feel. Also, when my dogs sandwich me before bed (especially on my back) I feel at ease and very...safe I suppose? Whenever someone ask to think of something that relaxes me, I *always* think of that pressure and warmth my dog puts on my back. Nothing else compares! =)
Was just about to comment the same thing as I'm autistic also, I have a gloves that have sand imbetween each layer of fabric to make weighted gloves and also I have a pressured blanket which I can change the pressure on from 5 pounds to 25 pounds which is normally what I have it on...I think it's due to Autistic children having high sensitivity and different pain tolerance...Some people have low pain toll and some have high pain toll (me) That means I get really easily bruised from pinches and flicks but I never get bruised/hurt from a punch...it reverses the pain tolerance of a normal person, Like it wouldn't hurt if someone flicked you but to me it hurts like heck!
he's is right though unless either that dog is supernatural or that kid dies extremely young the dogs going first. hopefully by then he ready for his cruch to be kicked out from under him
I would like to start off how wonderful it is to hear how this animal helps this young boy. I am a veteran with severe PTSD, and the loss of 60%of my lung capacity. Last year I was lucky enough to be matched with a service dog , Skylar my special buddy is a life saver. Skylar has helped with nightmares , comfort and I see the same mannerisms in Skylar as I saw here with Lego. These are not just a pet as some would think , these animals work 24, 7 ,365 they become a integral part of the family unit. I was a shut in before him , I was afraid of society. .always afraid something would happen or someone was going to get me. SKYLAR has my back all the time he sleeps with me , watches me shower , eates beside me and takes care of his business with commands only. They lady who trained him also trains dogs for autistic children. .. all her dogs respond to both verbal and hand commands. A year later I can not imagine my life without him , I am blessed that he chose me to be his friend and companion , there is no master in our relationship , only love and devotion to a common goal , care for each other and respect . The cost of these animals are costly for the family's , depending on what the animal has been trained for some run as much as 10,000 dollars and more. I ask that all who read this and read this far please help the organization's that offer the services or training and fund me pages car washes or whatever to please help, before Skylar I did not understand , now I do and help educate those who truly want to know and help those who need these wonderful companions... to please help the family's. Thank you
I GAVE MY DOG AWAY TO MY NEIGHBORS WHO KIDS HAD AUTISM,THE KIDS NEVER LEFT THE HOUSE ONLY STAYED IN THERE ROOM,WHEN THEY GOT THE DOG THEY PLAYED WITH THE FOR HOURS OUTSIDE,WAS A MIRACLE , THE PARENTS TOLD ME THE DOG CHANGED THESE KIDS LIFE , I WILL NEVER FORGET THAT
robbwood1 I had my dog trained to be a therapy dog and lots of the people in the hospitals we visit say my dog changed their kids lives and I'm so happy my dog can make everyone happy, not just me
Listen?!! This is just one of the many things that dogs are capable of to help humans emotionally, physically, companions or drug sniffing life saving miracles! The perfect animal to teach mankind how to respect, love and treat each other!
Lee Clements I agree! It really is incredible what guide dogs can do. They help the blind, the autistic, the recovering, the schizophrenic community and probably way more. It's amazing how helpful dogs can be #dogpersonforlife
Wendell Hayes take that back it's cause some people treat dogs bad that's why they are means but they are actually nice it's cause people mostly abuse pit bulls and other kind of dogs.
So many negative nellies worrying about when the dog passes. It's going to happen.. to all of us. The boy will be older then and realize that this is the circle of life. Yes he will be heartbroken. Why not just Rejoice in their beautiful love and relationship and how lucky they are to have each other? Dogs/animals live in the moment.. they don't worry about what could happen in the future. Humans should learn this valuable lesson. They would enjoy their lives like this dog does.
Similar to, but still different than, seeing eye dogs as well for those with limitations to vision...I once counseled someone whose onset of depression stemmed from the pending death of her dog (he was around 12 and unable to walk more than a few steps at a time) and not just losing what she felt was her livelihood but having to adjust her whole daily routine until she was paired with and could train a new dog...it was all VERY eye opening! Dogs are one of the most precious beings in life!!
@hussain ali That's the best dog ever right there You beautiful people.Dogs are one of best ways to become better Jesus is the Greatest The Almighty the one who lives and protects us. But beautiful people and outhers are in the direction marching to Heaven.
Dogs are the only family alot of old people have. They are great company for young and old alike my mum died a few years ago six months after her beloved dog scrap died. She never was the same form that day on. I know she gave up and died from a broken heart. That's how important dog's are in alot of people's lives
I know that service dogs are trained to do certain actions, but it never ceases to amaze me that when they come into a family setting, even if one or two children are getting a bit overexcited, they know that it's the other kid (or an adult) who needs their help. The dog has got to be willing to learn what their new buddy needs, and then act upon it. It's incredible!
Deus vult I am aware of the common saying. It is the feeling of some that if we do not learn to include both genders in our speech, we might not include all genders in our actions, and that what we frequently say tends to somewhat brainwash us. Using he, she, him and her are left over from a time when placing women in a secondary position was acceptable. Come into the 21st century, include everyone in your speech patterns. Help make everyone count.
It's definitely an autistic thing to be comforted by pressure. I'm autistic, and I sleep FAR better in the winter, because I can pile tons of thick blankets on myself, and the pressure helps me conk out within minutes, as well as just feel more comfortable and secure in general. In the summer, even when it's boiling, I still try to force myself to sleep with a sheet, because I just can't sleep without some kind of cover over me. I really need a weighted sheet or something, lmao.
Megan Wilson just so you know, you can get weighted blankets which are specifically for autism, which can be worn even in heat. They are just a small amount of fabric, but they have weights to give you that pressure!
I agree. My brother says "it is too cold" even in other months when it is not cold at all. He loved to have blankets stacked on him although when it's too humid he doesn't like blankets much haha
Megan Wilson I don't have autism (at least I think so...) but I love to do the same thing!! It feels nice to be "hugged" by a blanket of some sort haha
Larry TheLobster He's a human... you can make your little "funny" jokes, yet doesn't change the scientifically fact that he has the characteristics that every other human has. Nor is he an animal or alien, which further more proves my point. People with disabilities are no less human. Would you call someone who is bald non human? Because they don't grow hair unlike most others?
Shremeant Well no sh*t it was a meme. What do you take me for a moron? There's a time and place for everything, and making a "meme" on a kid with serious problems was cruel, hope you agree on that at least. -_-
Although my boy was not registered he was seriously the best dog ever words also can not express the relationship between my child and my Saint. He loved my son like his family. He protected him, guided him, and was his best friend! Again he was not registered but might as well have been... Wherever we took him and my kid was there he was always by his side. We miss you so much big boy i hope we get to see u again someday!! 😭😭😭🙏🕊️
I have seizures and ptsd, my dogs help me through both.. they can tell when I'm going down , or going to have a panic attack, they lay on me until it's over. They protect me, and comfort me. They love us unconditionally.
Dogs are the most beautiful, loving animals on this planet. They are some of the best things to happen to us as humans. They provide so much unconditional love and understanding, without being asked to. I'm in awe over how Lego's presence is enough to make him smile. I hope Tupper continues to grow happy and as healthy as he can be with such an awesome friend by his side. ❤️🐶
I am happy I found this channel... now when I am emotional on TH-cam, its not because people are filled with hate, but I am reminded of the love we humans have and can have if we choose to. Thank you.
Crested Gecko in this particular comment, I'm talking about service dogs because of the role Lego plays in this little boy's life. This is not an "all dogs" moment.

Phillip Lopez but is that such a bad thing. I mean they formed a mutual relationship between each over he can't go on without the dog and the dog can't go on without him which is not a bad thing... I am more worried about what happens when the dog dies.
This made me cry... My youngest nephew has autism. It must be horrible to be trapped inside your body, unable to communicate with others or even to control your own emotions. Yet, it is so beautiful to see how Jehovah created both man and animals to protect and support one another. Thank you so much for posting this...
I wish the dog could live until Tupper's Lifetime. I'm worried what will happen when Tupper misses Lego after 15years or so. God give this Dog a Human Life time.
anten edilbert That won't happen, its physically impossible. These types of dogs live around 10-14 years, and that doesn't include the hip/leg problems these dogs are prone to. There are exceptions, but they are due to the dogs genetics.
The power of an animal! They're doing what they naturally do. LOVE! Plus the extra training Lego got to help Tupper. God bless that precious child! The bond they formed is so heartwarming! 🐶❤👦
Omg I cried this video is so heartwarming dogs have saved us I have 2 dogs and they both lick up my tears when I cry and curl up next to me when I sleep. Dogs are amazing!
I guess as long as the last name isn't "Ware" it's ok...... just kidding... absolutely beautiful video. My little pup isn't a service dog but she has definitely had a positive effect on my stress and blood pressure. Dogs are the best!!
I am autistic, and life can get hard and depressing, so It is nice to have someone by your side all the time like Lego and Tucker! Shoutout to the family!
At age 4 while window shopping at a pet store, my son with Autism bonded with one of the puppies. I had never seen him bond with anything or anyone! Through the tears of joy I managed to pay for our new puppy lol. Dogs seem to have super powers when it comes to helping people :)

Agnes Mahon "god" didn't "create" dogs... We bred them from wolves then selectively bred them into individual breeds.
Jessop u r the most annoying human being on the planet

Just goes to show what animals can and do do for humans.
The least we should do is treat them with respect.
Two precious souls, I’m literally crying tears of happiness ♡
awwwww this is so cute 😭😍💗💗
That's Beautiful And It Really Will Help With This Young Boys Growth
They should have called this story: Tupper and the Pupper.
LittleSkateyPlays did you know Pupper means tits in Norwegian?
Patchwork The Dragon Awesome
Wow, Tupper and Lego have a very special bond together. That's a beautiful and magical bond they have.

He was named that in memory of his grandfather who was in the navy (it was the nickname his grandfather got while in the navy)
This is so touching. What a beautiful relationship they have.

I guess as long as the last name isn't "Ware" it's ok...... just kidding... absolutely beautiful video. My little pup isn't a service dog but she has definitely had a positive effect on my stress and blood pressure. Dogs are the best!!
Last name = Ware
James Bone that's my mother and she has a disease called scleroderma and is part of a 3% who live past five years. You don't need to be rude
I am autistic, and life can get hard and depressing, so It is nice to have someone by your side all the time like Lego and Tucker! Shoutout to the family!
In case fidget spinners don't work get a dog.
Alberto Huerta woq
At age 4 while window shopping at a pet store, my son with Autism bonded with one of the puppies. I had never seen him bond with anything or anyone! Through the tears of joy I managed to pay for our new puppy lol. Dogs seem to have super powers when it comes to helping people :)
What a beautiful family you have!
This is Truely a message to all
