No offence, but I've never been able to understand this story. I really enjoyed LeFanu's Green Tea, but this story just confuses me. There's some guy, who is maybe feeble minded, who goes running around yelling "the devil!" But he's just a regular guy, and not "Dickon *the* devil" as the title would imply ? It's sort of implied that maybe he has been a victim of witchcraft? Or is that just my interpretation of it? I don't find it spooky, just strange. Anyway, nice narration as always, and hopefully next story will be more to my liking. PS: i hit "like" anyway, to support the channel. Whenever i consume a channel's content that i am subscribed to, where the channel owner has put time and effort into, i always click "like" even if i don't enjoy the meat of the content, per se. I click like because as a channel owner myself, i understand how hard it is to get 90%+ of viewers to hit that button. I think viewers should do that to support the channels they watch\listen to. Anyway, I didn't wanna show my altruism or anything, but i did want to let you know that even though i don't get the story, i still hit the like button so the algorithm treats you kindly, hopefully. Cheers!
Great story, Chris. You did a wonderful job reading it. Thank you.
Thanks for listening, Lorraine! :)

I think Le Fanu can get really deep at times with his stories, and spare a thought for the narrator! :)
