      Do they prefer her being the hard-ass ballbuster that she usually is, or do they enjoy it when the layers of protection that she surrounds herself gets peeled away, and we get to see a more sensitive version of her.
      I might need to do a poll of that soon to figure it out (ᵔ.ᵔ)

      Yes it did... A major reason why the episode took as long as it did was because I had to go through so many iterations of the script. Not only making sure that it was entertaining, but also that ALL facts were completely true and not misleading in the slightest.
      Of course we also have the fact that it is an incredibly sensitive and very much taboo topic in many parts of the world. So, accounting for the sensitivity was also a major factor in our minds when producing this "special" episode.

    A subject like this is especially sensitive for humans, or most intelligent life, I imagine, as it's... mired in a lot of sensations and emotions that make it difficult to understand without the context of *why* it is the way it is.
    I imagine a lot of that will be discussed in the future, but here's my two cents in as reasonable a manner as I can manage.
    The pleasurable sensation of sexual intercourse, and indeed a lot of the sensations related to sexual maturity in animal life is part of a survival incentive. Much like how some foods we eat reward us with happy taste buds, our body has ways of producing chemical signals to tell the brain that x, y, or z is a good thing, and that to a degree that we should continue whatever behavior resulted in that signal. It is an instinct, and one that without, all life would go extinct.
    Sexual intercourse, in particular, has an incentive for animal life to reproduce (so the species continues and does not end with the past and present living generations), and does so by flooding the body with high energy stimulations that can overwhelm your senses, but on the whole are supposed to be *very "good"* signals.
    Of course, for most animal life besides humans, needing a signal to tell two or more animals to reproduce is necessary, as it's to inform them that it is time to begin producing offspring so the species may continue.
    There are also signals for some animal life that encourage behaviors like raising that offspring. This changes between some animals, as some do not care for their offspring after giving birth to them in whatever form that takes, but for humans that signal comes in the form of thinking babies are cute, and wanting to care for them. That's a signal the brain gets telling us that the infant needs to be cared for in order to survive, and it's a signal that often gets hijacked whenever we talk about cute animals, as the same thing goes on there.
    In any case, humans still have these signals ingrained as while we know intellectually that a population must remain or grow at a certain level and rate in order to not go extinct, these remnant signals from a time during which the species was *not* specifically cognizant of that fact often cause conflicts within us.
    On the one hand, it is a necessity for the continuation of human life. However, not every human on Earth will contribute to producing offspring, and indeed not everyone does. There is also the matter of, in most circumstances, requiring a partner to contribute, and the emotional conflicts that may vary between each person.
    As such, the discussion of this subject has become complex beyond the technical level, and the difficulty of discussing it effectively has become prohibitive in many environments, and often a taboo subject for anyone below a certain age range, and indeed taboo among many adults who find such discussion distasteful, or unnecessary entirely for one reason or another.
    So I sympathise with the guys here. While I was able to elucidate my understanding of the subject, I only did so after a considerable amount of self-reflection, and doing so not in person, as it becomes an awkward matter very quickly due to nerves.
    If I got anything wrong (I did make very broad strokes to cover a lot of ground), I'm happy to hear where I flubbed my work, and where I can do better.
    And I hope I contributed positively to the discussion.

    • @Crazyhere185
      @Crazyhere185  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Thank you so very much for your comment! It was a real cognitive treat to read through it. (づ ◕‿◕ )づ
      I definitely understand what you're talking about regarding the cognizant imperative of reproduction. It astounds me that humans are one of the only living creatures on the planet that have the ability to actively defy our biological urge to reproduce. The only other living thing that comes to mind are pandas, because I get the feeling that they are not big on reproduction either. However, my panda knowledge is not that well-versed so I'd refrain from weighing in on that too heavily xD
      But anyways, coming back to the subject of reproduction. I do think that in the past we humans have reproduced so rapidly that we are actively paying the price for that with overpopulation. I'm not certain if the fact that information about sex and reproduction becoming taboo was our species' way of naturally attempting to curb the overpopulation problem, but I think that would be an interesting topic to think about. But then again, the more I think about it, the more I believe that the lack of proper "sex talk" within a population, the more unwanted pregnancies there are.

    • @mahazkei7709
      @mahazkei7709 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@Crazyhere185 Without a doubt in my mind, that's a big cause. Don't think it's the only one, but it's probably the biggest, is there being no formal or comprehensive sexual education course or curriculum to explain the nuances of the reproductive imperative vs our cognizance of the matter, and the relationship between the two as "love".
      While that's a tall ask as there are many cultures that have different outlooks on married or bonded pairings (which can carry the expectation of reproduction at some point), let alone the instinct, I think a common sense understanding of the matter would go miles in curbing a lot of society's problems when it comes to exponentially higher birthrates than death rates (I don't think we should be in the ten billions on this earth, but an equilibrium of birth to death is desirable).
      If I were a more learned individual, I would attempt a study on the subject for a paper. While I can't be entirely excused for any odd questions I ask people in order to inform the study, I think once they understand the nature of the question, they may be less uncomfortable (it's still not a comfortable subject, but that's our living generation (counting all alive at present, not any one gen in particular)) in answering.
      Unfortunately, while I may have the autistic drive to find the answers, I do not have the permanent focus to see it through for more than a day before I get infatuated with some other topic of interest. I am glad I could provide a "cognitive treat" for you, as your take on the subject was more composed than anything I could devise in a number of months exceeding the amount of one.
      And as for pandas, I don't know what their deal is either. I am curious if the reason they're on the decline is they are so lax in their instincts, that they are, in essence, letting go of earthly desires in some hope of ascension.
      ...I've watched too many Rain World lore videos.
      But I would be interested to see you tackle that complex and convoluted chaos of the taboo, though that may be something of a suicidal thesis to develop.

      For some of our earlier videos, each of them took an average of about 18 - 24 hours (Script writing, research, and video editing included)
      But, as we got more familiar with the objection.lol program, and decided to tackle more "interesting" topics and ideas, the time taken for each video on average went up to 25 - 30 hours.
      For this video in particular, because of the nature and sensitivity of the topics covered, we kinda lost track of how long it took us, but I won't be surprised if it was north of 65 hours in total. Also because the episode itself went through numerous iterations and teeny tiny minute edits.
      Our secret? We just love this game and its characters too damn much (ᗒᗨᗕ)
      And definitely the fans of the show. Each and every comment brings us so much joy and satisfaction, whether it's praise, criticism, ideas, or discussions, we just can't get enough reading them all!
