SoundBound is a project implemented withing world music festival PORTA, where the emphasis is put on musical collaboration projects. In a nutshell - musicians from 2 different countries meet and not only arrange each others songs, but also create new musical pieces that have never been heard before. This is possible for one main reason - and that is a common field of artistry for each musician participating and that is the World music genre. Each artist in this project has already created a successful career, which is built around own's culture, musical legacy and roots. That allows one's history to be taken into present day and integrate it in music that addresses importance of our background, keeping it authentic yet allowing it to grow alongside present century and not letting it to be forgotten.
