It seems a little bit nostalgic to me but not that much as others because I installed the game february 19 of 2019, played like 20 games with friends and deleted the game, now it's my favorite game. (I don't remember much about the game in early phases or have memories about my matches)

THIS WATER IS DRY LMAO that depends. Sure a little, but if what is happening now totally rocks, then its easier to handle. And this is me right now! I love the new ltm with the train, love the new characters, and I enjoy the balance. But youre right, jumping in Apex after playing fortnite felt like such a breath of fresh air and now that this game has matured obviously that feeling is faded and its difficult as everyone is much better at the game now! So I bought CoD MW and played that for the last 2 days, got a mic, and now I actually find myself STILL wanting to return to apex. Its truly a balanced game right now! And I’m VERY excited to see what comes next. I maxed out the battle pass, and I havent even bought it yet (cuz I’m happy with what I got for free haha) but yeah, i feel you tho

Skill gap ruins every game but tbh I still don’t feel nostalgia for this game like fortnite, probably because it didn’t change much in terms of graphics and mechanics which is a good thing
its not just that, in season 3 respawn added a SBMM mechanic that is just straight up unfair. the SBMM system purpously matches you in lobbies and teammates that you are guranteed to lose with, and just before you quit the game, it gives you a good match for that dopamine release so you keep playing. the SBMM specifically takes advantage of player engagement to make you play as much as possible and its disgusting.
whatever you do good or not in a game is entirely determined by the SBMM, not your skill.
respawn intensified the SBMM at season 6 but tuned it down at season 9 when they saw angry gamers almost marched at their headquarters with pitchforks and lit torches (its a joke, but everyone *was* furious at the time, and some still are).

playing apex now i get curb stomped by "TTV" twitch streamers level 500 with 50,000 kills. Season 0 was great lol.
Looking back at it this game wasn't as sweaty as it is today which is expected but man I miss the vibes of early Apex and wish I could live this experience again.

The music, the style of the old map, it just feels so much different. I can't really explain it but when I hear the original music I get this really wierd feeling. Just such a great game. Also I completely forgot that skullpiercer was ever a purple hopup. ;)

The aesthetic of S0 is so special and unique. That feeling of wonder, glory, competition, fear, freedom, tropics and deadly stakes is a potent one. I wish there was more media that explored this theming
I will never forget the feeling those first few games gave me. The new, optimistic music and the exited heavy feeling in my heart.

I can't explain that feeling either wtf lol, just the colors, the tv, the way I used to grind every single day to buy my first legend (mirage), the cool breeze coming through my window, truly legendary moments :)

players werent as sweaty, enemies werent as toxic and everyone played for fun. now people go for being #1 at something and it’s really annoying. other than that, i don’t know. apex lost its touch. after season 4, i couldnt tell you which direction apex went. i still play it, but i cannot say its fun at all. all BR come to this point

Apex is legit one of the best FPS games I’ve ever played, definitely the best BR on the market.

i’d honestly say it’s the best fps game ever created. halo is nostalgic but this game just got everything right
I remember it all from my first drop with friends and getting rekt every match, to finally getting my first win as Gibraltar. Then came Octane and I didn't like him at first but he became my main, and I was on the grind with this game nearly every day. I met some Swedish randoms online who we formed a long time squad with, and we grew together becoming stronger, learning from ours and each others mistakes, but then I was left to wander alone again after my squad unfortunately disbanded. I dived headfirst into the beauty that was solo's free to do as I please, every kill further pumping adrenaline through my body until that first win. I grew more powerful, becoming bloodthirsty and untamed. My Octane reached 3k kills, still the highest I have today of any legend. Then came the hop ups, oh god were they broken yet satisfying to use. Everything up til then was a blast. The music, the map, the combat, the glitches, the meta, the map changes, the events. Apex was a unique charm of a BR. No other BR game could have brought the same addicting satisfaction that Apex Legends did. I rode the highs and the lows, and now I can only hope for the glory days of Kings Canyon to return. Now I've gotten rusty after abandoning Season 3 but I still have hope. This wasn't a game. It was a journey.

We landed in wetlands and I had no clue what I was doing, first match feels soooo different from every other match because I didn't know the map at all and it felt so cool to explore it a bit, of course I was Pathfinder and loved him instantly because of his grapple

@@carterwilliams7106 It was at first then they change it to Epic at some stage I forgot which patch. People might still confuse Wingman as OP today if it's being used by someone who actually knows how to use it.

for me, my earliest memory of playing this game in 2019 was from a bad time in my life. in 2018 I was put on probation for domestic violence. I was in high school and keep in mind, I was sent to a credit recovery school because as a junior I only had freshman credits. So basically I had to earn all freshman, sophomore, Junior and senior credits in the span of two school years in order to graduate. morning my mom came into my room to wake me up for school. I wouldn’t budge, so she sat on the foot of my bed and sat on my feet, i yanked my foot out and kicked her hard on the back. She called the cops and I was arrested. I was taken to the station for processing and then was transported to a juvenile detention center where I would stay there for two days (unless my mom bailed me out) in the front where the front desk was and the staff sleeping quarters are. I have a past of anger issues and I would always take my anger out on the walls of my bedroom. My mom then took me to court and after like 4 or 5 court hearings I was sentenced to 2 years of probation. My birthday was when I officially started probation as well as when I finished probation. I was 16 years old when I started probation and 18 when I finished it. I had 2 probation officers, let’s call them J and P. Every wednesday I had to go to this class after school at my school, basically it was this thing where we got a book that we had to fill out and learn about legal and illegal stuff. Also had community service that I needed to work, off both for high school credits and for probation. I had to do 40 hours of community service which accounted for the 4 years of high school. 10 hours each year only I didn’t do 10 hours each year I only did the full 40 hours during probation. My probation officers were actually pretty cool like they were actually understanding and genuinely cared for us and helped us get through it all. One of my other Probation officers was super into marvel and MCU stuff and we would just share our theories and favorite marvel movies. During my probation, one of the things I was restricted from was video games and that’s for a whole other reason. So, every night after everyone went to sleep, I would sneak downstairs to play apex legends all night until my dad went to work at 5 am. The probation thing taught some valuable lessons that i’ll never forget. I’ll always be thankful for that because it changed me as a person. The circumstances may not have been good but the outcome was. after I finished probation, all that was left was finishing high school. As I previously stated, I was sent to a credit recovery school. I remember in Fall if 2020 I was told I had about a whole two one and a half school years of work to do before I could graduate, and I was estimated to graduate in June of 2021 and in my head I was like “damn, that is a long time.” Most of our schoolwork was done on computers and for me it was essentially all of my work except for personal finance. I can’t remember the name of the program I used for my schoolwork, it started with a G. I ended up finishing in february and graduated that day.

GiirlHeSooNastyy! I HATED it!! 90% of the gameplay is wasted on sprinting those empty desert💩 + shooting and enemy in an open area is boring. I hope they never change the current map or make a similar new one! It’s more fun and diverse.

What happened to this beautiful game? Now everyone is supersweating, camping last ring, no one actually fighting but rather run away to stay alive. People forgot how to have fun over the years and rather sit 20 minutes doing nothing to end top 3 and climb in rank. Its so sad. Apex should get a rollback to sz 0. ( Even with the broken wingman xD )

It's weird to play Apex again after i abandoned it for more than 2 years. I started playing it again on October 2021. And i think i regret not playing the rest of the seasons.
Hasn’t even been a full year since the game came out and here we all are, reminiscing of the days when everyone grinded for badges and B-hopped while healing.

ok I know this comment was posted a year ago. But I am going to comment on it anyways. The L-STAR I would not say is OP. But at the same time it still feels OP, like it is a really good gun RIGHT NOW.. I started playing season 10 so I can't really speak on this and say your wrong, but what I can say is playing with it in season 10 it is really OP or just a amazing gun imo..

Back when the havoc and devotion were introduced in the 2 week after the game was launched. Burned down forest where Wraith’s event took place. Back when the audio was good. When you got your tactical ability back within 5 seconds(Bangalore smoke and caustic trap spamming). Caustic gas used to do damage to you even when you were outside the buildings. Thermite grenades wouldn’t destroy doors. Mirage would still be visible when he was knocked. Infinite punch bug. Miss the good ol’ days of Apex
