I think you hit all the plusses and minuses quite well. One added item, I bought the Fuji case for the original X100, used it also on the X100S and X100T, and it still looks good, so they are durable. The X100F is a little bigger, so I bought the new case, this time in black.
I bought the Gariz HG-X100FBK Genuine Leather Half Case Black for my black X100F (Amazon). It fits perfectly and gives the camera some more grip as well.

I agree with you. It's held on by clips that go around the strap mounts. It actually works fine, but I would've preferred a tripod mount. Thanks for your comment and I apologize for not replying sooner.

Thanks for the review. Have you had any trouble with the soft release button being pressed while the camera is in the case? I just got a shutter release button which is slightly taller than yours and I can hear how it is being pressed and it remains pressed when i close the case completely. I'm kind of worried about that, don't want the shutter to get loose or even worse...stop working. Thank you for your time.
Hi Oscar. No, I haven’t had that problem. So far my soft release has stayed on and I haven’t noticed any ill effects on the shutter button. I do understand your concern, though.

They should not have made the case to open TOWARD you. It should open and fold over away from the front.
