Definitely invest in a good pair of korker boots with the carbide spikes. I highly recommend that over anything.

The "Jack's" are one of the most thrilling fish to catch b/c of their strong swimming/fighting ability. But their meat isn't that great. Some people can make
any fish taste good but you gotta bleed this one right away & the blood line meat is extra gamey. It's also an oily rough flesh but lots of folks know how to
cook them good just like I know Cajun's who like "Gar Balls" & other aquatic stuff that is unusual to me.... lol, but they are great fun to catch >> peace & GB

Thanks for the tips gonna try this next time ....one question do you think you get snagged less when you switch out the treble for a single hook as well less likely to lose them on the rocks at least?
No, but I will say that you will probably lose more fish to circle hooks on a spoon. The first few hard hits I got that day were on a modified spoon with bkk circle hooks. I got 3 hard hits and lost them all right away.

What’s your opinion on baitrunners? I have a shimano baitrunner and seems to work out okay for me, just thought I would get another opinion on them.. especially since you surf fish more then me hahaha love the vids!
I like them for freshwater, but I don't like them for surf fishing. The clickers are not loud on baitrunners, hard to listen out for them.

I tried to eat a small one yrs ago. Never again. Stacking those jacks on jetty is a waste of a good fighting fish.
If you’re gonna do what he says, get a 2 ounce spoon, or you would not be able to put on the split rings
