Fall 2023 Climate Outlook from NWS Wilmington, NC

Despite El Niño expected to continue through this fall and upcoming winter, an active Hurricane Season is still expected due to very warm Atlantic water temperatures. Across the Carolinas temperatures and rainfall totals both have slightly increased potential to run above normal through November.
