Let’s be realistic. When asked why he should be elected, Fetterman spent the first 45 seconds telling us why Oz shouldn’t be elected. Not the question and evaded any qualifications that might rationalize his election. At least Oz started out with his why but quickly tumbled into why Fetterman shouldn’t. Can we ever just get a straight answer from a politician?

I only saw the last few minutes, and let me say when Fetterman says in his opening statement that he'll be missing some words it's a little bit of an understatement. That phrase "I got knocked down and I'm going to keep coming back up" was repeated many times.

Their intention is to make their opponents look so bad that they will appear better in comparison.
However, it really has the opposite effect than desired, because it shows weakness and a lack of confidence in their own ideas and abilities.
If they had something much better to offer than the other person's ideas then, they could stand on this alone and be confident they will gain votes.
But when someone must bring the other guy down in every response to make their own polices appear better then, you know they have nothing good to offer the people...
To have no confidence in your own ideas and to lack confidence and belief that you are the right person for the job based on your own merits...just doesn't scream good leader to me.

Having a grandma who suffered from a life-altering stroke, I sympathize with Fetterman. However, he should've dropped out to focus on rehabilitating and not let his ego get the best of him.
