☘️The main gangs were started/enhanced/nurtured by the C I A in order to aid with their “substance distribution” into inner cities in the 1970s until the present.
Do some research into the C I A profiting from the “substance trade”, and you’ll see they have an open track record going back decades. They’ve used the same blueprint to form gangs/ cartels and take a portion of the profits.

We didn't have police cameras in the 90's. They went up in 02 on the Westside and Southside. No city though has had more murders since 63 than chicago. It's a gangster city and that will never change. It's where gangbanging originated.

They need to be careful about that gentrification. Projects I grew up in was violent as hell when I was in elementary. By the time I was in highschool people were developing community. People talking about the real Panthers and developers gentrifying the area when my family moved to another city. Two years later the city tore it down blaming mold they never took care of and sold the land to a private developer.

And then they became Marvin gangsta Crips, OG's BIg Scotty, Tyrone, Short Dog (RIP) to my OG cuzzo. Shan-Dog (RIP) Lil Mike, Gary, 8 Ball, Maniac, Eddieboy, Screwball, man this brings back memory. That's wild the lil homie said his cousin is from Geer, Geer and Marvin are serious rivals only separated by the 10 freeway. I remember when Mike liquor was first built on Hauser and Washington. 20:15 that right there reminds me of the Pasadena hoods, in the 80’s and 90’s real grimey but right next door was the beautiful areas of Pasadena,South Pasadena, San Marino, La Canada. There’s been a couple stories of regular civilians in town for the rose bowl/rose parade making some wrong turns and running into some shit back in the day…

@Soldier of Jehovah loved the way you described LA. I grew up on the east coast in Newark, NJ our understanding of "the hood" is urban decay (run down crack buildings, corner stores, brownfield lots...etc.). As someone who has never been to the west coast I would imagine it's how you described.
