People talking about the real Panthers and developers gentrifying the area when my family moved to another city. 20:15 that right there reminds me of the Pasadena hoods, in the 80’s and 90’s real grimey but right next door was the beautiful areas of Pasadena,South Pasadena, San Marino, La Canada. There’s been a couple stories of regular civilians in town for the rose bowl/rose parade making some wrong turns and running into some shit back in the day…
That fact they are two miles from Beverly Hills is mind blowing.

@Soldier of Jehovah loved the way you described LA. I grew up on the east coast in Newark, NJ our understanding of "the hood" is urban decay (run down crack buildings, corner stores, brownfield lots...etc.). As someone who has never been to the west coast I would imagine it's how you described.

My fam from Louisiana moved from to Watts in the 60s and I’m currently here let me tell you don’t move here it’s 6-7 times more expensive than where you’re at. No opportunities, not a lot of black ppl anymore (Cali is only 6% black) harsh laws ect.. you gotta be a fool to move here now
@Murican187 that's what's up the majority of the ppl out here in l.a. with our roots are located in Watts the jordan downs or Nickersons and in baldwin hills/crenshaw and maybe a little in inglewood. Every fba with sense is moving back down south. L.A. is cool if you getting money and plan on staying single its terrible to raise a family though.
