@@Boss-ir3nm If you can't take constructive criticism then you are a slave to your desires. A good example is, before I embraced Islam, I was a hardcore gambler, blew bags on gambling, my life was deteriorating till I met up with an old friend of mine who sat me down and lectured me hours mate, I stopped gambling, turned my life around, and on a trip to Morocco, I got curious about the meaning of life, that curiosity leading to do research and stuff, resulting to a full turn around. I agree with you at some point, it hurt to be criticized, but being able to see things from different perspective usually leads to change in behaviour.

Biologically and psychologically we need someone to be brutally honest with us. Just to be blunt with it. This is something my girlfriend didn't have so when someone does that she feels attacked and that's how her countenance is for the whole day. It got to the point where if someone said something that she didn't agree with she becomes confrontational.

  • @AmarD87

When I was a teen and was being a brat, after a punishment, my dad said:
"I'm tough on you because the world is hard on us men. I am pointing out your mistakes so you can learn from them, so you can grow. Because as a man you don't have as much time as you think. The world doesn't point out your mistakes and gives you a chance to learn and grow. Out there, there are no second chances. Everything the world values in a man takes time, discipline, and commitment to achieve. When you leave my house to take on the world I don't expect you to be a fully grown man but I expect you to be able to admit your mistakes and learn from them".
With hindsight, I really appreciate that I had two parents. Both my parents were amazing but for a boy having a father guide you is priceless. I didn't appreciate it then, like most teens, but my father's lessons were all true. Kevin is much like a father figure. He delivers hard lessons, and hard truths and he expects you to take action. Complaining is easy. Everyone knows how to complain. But to do something, to take responsibility for your own failure, that is what separates the men from the boys.

I'm SERIOUSLY glad that you guys posted this! I'm a therapist and a couple of my male friends have bombarded me with Kevin's videos to substantiate their experiences. A few I've had to explain that they don't fit into the category of men Kevin is referring to and that some of their own traits (mentioned in this video!) are what's keeping them out of the real running. I don't usually disagree with what Kevin says, but I have felt that some people (women in the past) wouldn't hear any of the takeaways because it would get lost in the delivery. It's great to know that he's an equal opportunity offender! LOL j/k, but this definitely provides a bigger picture to his approach. I WILL be sending this link to the gents that need to hear some of this, too.
Also, he is 1,000% RIGHT about taking up martial arts or boxing! Activities where you can make MEASURABLE PROGRESS will prove your COMPETENCE to learn and grow and increase CONFIDENCE! I grew up as a competitive and then professional dancer with a high GPA throughout so that was established for me, but there are still times when I have to find a challenge to exercise, expand, and continue to develop my competence now. If you didn't get affirmations from the people in your life as a child, then SURROUND YOURSELF with positive, reinforcing role models/coaches/mentors/SENSEIs now! YOU and the man/woman you want in your life will thank you for it!

They can't really help it, no matter how much anyone would try to change them, it wouldn't really work out. It's not necessarily a disadvantage either, it's just how they are. Honestly to maintain a good weight 80% is how you eat / drink . Cut fast food out & soda an exercise for literally 7 min a day do this for a month only an you’ll be in shape or on your way to be dep how heavy you were but I swear don’t need to workout for an hour or anything literally just do 20-30 push up s maybe throw the 10lb weights around for 5 min an than maybe just a little walk around the block seriously don’t need to do anything crazy I think ppl forget this / spend more time putting there stretchy work out clothes on lol I work out in my pjas for literally 15 min before I shower and I’m in great shape

I've heard it said, "your mother keeps you alive and your father prepares you for life". So many of us are growing up without a strong father that will give objective guidance like this. Everyone, especially young men, needs someone in their formative years who speak the harsh truth like KS does. It is a cold world; you can put on a sweater or you can freeze to death.

Well said. My father used to say that nurturing is useless on a boy after the age of seven. I agree, now that I am old enough to have seen numerous women raise a boy of their own. An infant needs nurturing because it cannot survive on its own. Continuing to nurture a boy teaches them to be reliant on others. Many women view "man training" as cruel because they are more concerned about their son's feelings, than his functionality. They find themselves stuck in mothering their sons well into adulthood because they finally realize how much they have stagnated his personal development, and feel responsible for his shortcomings. I'm not saying that mothers are the villains. They are only doing what is in their nature. What I am saying is without the counterbalance of a male presence in their household, the mother's nature of nurturing creates an imbalance in the boy's development.

People thought he was EVIL because he was so blunt in crushing the hopes of people applying to be in the business. After seeing thousands of wanna be musicians and actors, I understood why he was so blunt. So many of these people have been enabled by their friends and family that will NOT tell them they have no talent. they feed into their delusions. Our industry is full of people that keep trying to succeed and end up doing drugs or suicide, or wasting their entire lives. My manager would tell them bluntly what they would need to do to succeed or if they just don't even have the basics talent. Yes they will get angry, or cry, but he just saved them years of their life being miserable. They can now continue your life and pursue a life that will succeed.

then these idiots enter the industry and it's incredible how little they know after 4 years of supposed education. i've seen designers who don't even know how to package working files but strut around acting as if they're better than anyone else. i've seen copywriters who can't do audience research, let along write a good line. i've seen junior art directors who don't see anything wrong putting purple text on blue background. social media "experts" who can't do anything else but post memes.

Life is about growing and improving yourself. It's not that there are things that don't let you get to where you want to be, but you not doing what it's needed. yes, and even more Andrew, if youre humble? You're not a narcissist. You don't go around seeing women as sexual objects but as human beings. Yes all have needs, but some people overindulge due to insecurity to maintain their fragile ego. (not talking about you btw, but what you meant about humble people. You win only 500 dollars in the lottery? And youre humble about it, grateful? Thats how a soul is good and grateful.) A rolex to me is a sign of needing attention and a status symbol to say "Hey look im rich, im someone", but what does it really mean? It means its a distraction from who the wearer really is, internally. It's nothing but a decoy to hide the fact the wearer is insecure and fragile.
