Okay... I'm not going to "steal" that, I'm going to "borrow" it, make copies, then give it back.
I was never a fan of Abdullah the Butcher, but like Dutch said, nobody else came down with hepititus, wrestling Abdullah. And I agree with Tony Atlas, in the Dark Side episode: Abdullah should have never been sued. Just as Gorilla Monsoon would say " you pay you money, take your chances." I don't listen to Hannibal's podcasts, based on his antics, I can not respect the guy. He is a legend in his own mind.
Devon is a scumbag, but I think people should avoid falling into trap of having that color their view of the Abdullah situation. Tests found that they both carried the same strain of Hep C and that was the sticking point that helped Devon win his case. As for the question of why Abby's other opponents hadn't caught it, I think there's a fair chance that he might've caught it from someone at the twilight of his career prior to wrestling Hannibal. Or, if you're being charitable, maybe they both caught it from an unnamed third party around the same time. This is all speculation, but Devon's explanation is still the most plausible.
All that said, if there's one thing that everyone can universally agree on it's that there was no way in hell WWE would want anything to do with him pre or post Hep C.
@@Vinnce12 I remember the newsstory I watched on Canadian news covering Devon's case and an interview with Abby saying, "I never cut him!" while the camera was showing him covered in blood and stabbing Devon's forehead over and over again. That's my issue with Abby. He lied about something so dumb. Not the first time he lied either. He's also known for being a shady fuck. I think Devon is shady, but Abby is just as shady and I don't believe him.

No matter how you slice it (no pun intended), Hannibal is, to be sure, an extremely polarizing figure in wrestling and in podcasting, with many supporters as well as detractors.

Hannibal talks like he's deaf, or close to it. I always thought he was challenged in some way.
If you dig, you will find A LOT of hilarious stories about Hannibal. I'm sure lots of local wrestlers in Ottawa from 10 - 15 years ago can tell you all about the sad stunts and things that he used to do back in the day.

Hannibal is a goof
Hannibal recently barley survived a suicide attempt. Mental depression is a serious medical issue. It is very easy to beat a person down at there lowest.

You really need to do research before you comment . The issue was that Abdullah used his own blade to cut him without permission!! And yes it was also proved that Abdullah does have Hep C the exact strain that Devon caught from him. And yes the treatment did cure him of Hep C but the side effects lasted for years inhibiting his ability to perform at the highest level. Again if you’re going to comment at least know what your talking about first .
The ONLY reason Abdullah lost that lawsuit was because Abdullah failed to appear in court.
They also proved that the Hep C strain Hannibal got was the same one Abdullah had.

I have seen several interviews where he tries to get the talent to put him over. And any interview that includes 'I read on Wikipedia' is not a good interview. I have tried several times to give the guy a chance but no, his interviews are the worst. Right up there with the nonce Feinstein.

I’m not a fan of Abdullah the Butcher or Carlos Colon, because I can’t get past their possible knowledge and/or involvement in the whole Bruiser Brody incident. Hannibal’s actions should show you that he is mentally unstable. I have never heard anyone say a good word about him that has dealt with him personally. I do watch some of his interviews not because of him but because he interviews mostly veteran wrestlers from the good old days. I concur with James that Hannibal is a terrible interviewer who has been able to make a career out of what’s left of the wrestling business through his TH-cam channel and by paying veteran wrestlers to put him over in GNW.

James Romero does not think Devon's court case is credible, which I attribute to Romero not doing any research. The reason why Nicholson won is that the strain of Hep C that he had matched that of Larry Shreve/Abdullah. From posted articles online:
"Evidence submitted to the court showed that Nicholson and Abdullah both contracted a rare Genotype 2 strain of Hep-C"
"Nicholson was able to produce court records showing that he and Shreve carried the same rare strain of the disease, making it highly unlikely he picked it up somewhere else."
If we are to believe the judicial system it has been proven that both men had Hep C, so for Dutch or anyone to not be sure Abdullah carried it, get your head out of the ground. Now maybe the causality was wrong, and Devon gave it to Abdullah, which the latter claims. Devon has done plenty of bloody matches back then and in recent times. But whoever's the blame, one man infected the other and that is not in dispute.

Hannibal is a weird guy. He's always comparing himself to more success people and making up excuses for his failures. I stopped watching his videos a long time ago.
So after looking it up, Carlos not having Hep C could have to do with blood type. A blood types are most susceptible to HVC
Two things that I noticed with him is one, he doesn't sound like he breathes through his nose and two, he makes videos about Abdullah being reckless and unprofessional, but like you guys mentioned, he did the same kinda thing with this tiny, in comparison to him, referee who probably had a normal day job that he probably lost when he got severely hurt and yet this ref hasn't made not one video or even brought charges

Holy shit! I have never seen that side of James! That's some great shit. Hannibal is pretty bad at his interviews, but I don't think he's the worst. I have seen worse. The Boston guy that passed away a while back was terrible. And there was a guy called No Kayfaben that made Hannibal sound like Mean Gene Okerlund.

There was a point in time where his channel was pretty much the old wrestler shoot channel. But as time went on his crazy was exposed. Haven't watched anything from him in forever now.
He was trying to build that channel with the idea that he could parlay that into a wrestling career. The minute he tried promoting himself, the channel was dead.

He had some type of irreparable heat with Lanny Poffo and then when Lanny passed Hannibal announced it and seemed like he was laughing and giddy about it. I mean that's just a very vile person. Hannibal just recently tried to kill himself by slitting his own throat and he cut himself on the lower part of his stomach so badly that he actually sliced his own liver or something like that. A really insanely way to take your own life. And even though I may not really like him I do Pray for him to get better. Suicide is NEVER the answer no matter what the problem. It's so sad but it could honestly be karma catching up to him. Hopefully he will turn around and make something positive come out of this situation. I mean look at what he said about Abdullah on DSOTR. He said he hopes he dies a slow and painful death?!?!?!? That's just wrong.

I haven’t watched Hannibal since the ref incident, just went on his channel after watching this video, apparently he recently attempted suicide and was showing a large scar on his throat and abdomen. Whatever the case, he is obviously not OK, he’s obviously having serious mental health issues, maybe take in into consideration.
As for the hepatitis judgment results - courts do get it wrong sometimes, or more often than sometimes, but they had more information about this case, than you guys, me, or anyone else commenting.
I hope nobody dies a slow painful death and that people who need help, get the help they need.

My understanding is that the Hep-C Hannibal has is a very rare form that they can identify and Abdullah has the same type of rare Hep-C. I'm damn sure not saying anything positive about him lol... but that was what i read. He would never survive in WWE even if they hired him.
That combined with Abby not showing up for court is the only reason Hannibal won the case. I kinda agree with Hugo that how did mick, Carlos or Hugo never got it.

Obviously you didn't pay attention to the video they showed. It clearly shows Abby slicing Hannibal's head with the same blade he used on himself. They also showed court documents that clearly stated they both have the same strain of Hep C. What part of that don't you understand? Abby took it upon himself to cut Hannibal without permission because he wasn't bleeding enough for his liking and gave him Hep C, that's why he lost the court case. They also showed enough evidence that Abby's claim of being illiterate is false.
Abby never showed so he lost by default, also as someone else pointed out only Abby and Hannibal have it, yet Abby has bled and cut a myriad of people including with the same blade yet NO ONE else has it. 🤔

Hannibal aka blood hunter used a gold painted railroad spike on the referee and it became infected because of the paint and he got seriously ill from it. Unprofessional at the very least.
