There are always cheaters in OC competitions. Can't stand it. I won one a long time ago. Right at the very end of the competition, some guy popped in uploading his results that beat everyone by quite a bit lol. All I could do was call him out. He was cheating by falsifying his stock clock performance results, making them lower than they should have been so that his overclocked performance gains would be a higher percentage than they should have been. The judges believed me and I won first place in both maximum stable overclock gain (percentage gained by frequency) and maximum performance gained from overclock because they voided his result. You can actually still see the thread with the competition online on the website that hosted it. Don't really want to share it because that whole thing tainted it for me. I still halfway wish I let it go or handled it some other way. I always feel like I overreacted. A bittersweet memory. Part of what still irks me today about it is that no one freaking realized that he was cheating. Why did I have to be the one to call it out? Me.. the guy that was in first place and getting knocked to second place because of the guy cheating. THAT'S what makes it all feel weird to me. He had to seriously screw his stock clock performance results up because my overclock was really high. It was air cooled stuff but I had something like a 93% overclock. So that made his stock performance results have to be tampered with by such a big margin that it was super obvious. No one else with the same set up scored that low stock and then got equivalent gains when overclocked. Anyways.. I'm done. Who cares?
