I'm just watching this because of nostalgia and i didn't even have DW5 Xtreme Legends, i had DW5. But damn, awesome fucking video. I'll watch more of your vids now :)
@jsmasterlubu3 I'm just taking this on, because it's not as complicated as DW5, with weapon weights and so much more customization. Ohhh thanks for following. I'll try to speed things up, and starting posting some videos then. In the meantime, it's DW5 goodness
@chris24the1 Haha, he's finished already. I just plan to upload him last. Quite fitting for his bottom tier placement. There are about 15 characters left to figure out, and about 20 to upload.
@DW5chaosmodeguide Alrighty then. So awesome that you would do this. Thank you. I enjoy your videos and love the way you actually are sure about your tier list and do real work on them.
@ChrisTheBest1992 On top of this, no light weapon setup can possibly equal the performance shown against 1) Multiple officers (Zhu Ran and Jiang Qin here) 2) Playable officers (Xu Huang here) 3) Enemy Commanders (Lu Meng and Cao Ren) I can't think of any PRACTICAL advantages that a Light weapon would have over a Medium weapon.
@guanyuyunchang1 How could a Heavy Weapon surpass the performance shown here with a Medium weapon? The way I see it with a heavy weapon is a two Musou offense, but in a lot of scenarios after his first True Musou, refilling that Musou will be a challenge. A heavy weapon also seems to abuse normal attacks and go straight into a Musou. How would you propose consistently hitting blocking officers without wasting musous?
@jsmasterlubu3 I'm not sure how familiar you are with my methodologies - the overall important metrics are few and simple, but getting to them involves a lot of detail, which is the best you can ask for, for any type of analysis. Musou or charge attacks, I think in the end, they all contribute to one value - efficiency. The only thing that might make this tier list hard is possibly gradual tiers....
@DW5chaosmodeguide Lol. Would you dare try to do a tier list for Dynasty Warriors 7? I mean with EX weapons to each character. I know it would be nearly impossible considering the way musou works now and movesets are so similar. And tier really is a mute point for characters considering the weapons can be shared. But there are quite a few things that seperate characters like Ma Chao's EX compared to Zhao Yun's. Maybe just a weapon tier list? Lol, I don't know, but it would be a real pain.
@ChrisTheBest1992 I would say not. I don't make it perfectly clear in the video description because of the character limit, but I do mention it. The best that a light weapon can do is kill a generic in one Musou if C6 succeeds with Ice. Alternatively you can freeze with C3, but that typically requires a partially filled Musou. In cases where ice does not activate, then the offense from a Light weapon is clearly slower than that of a medium weapon.
Positive it took him several tries to complete this stage with guan yu...He is sooo risky to use esp. with his c6. It leaves enemies more time to attack him.
Guan yu sucks ass IMO. Reasons why if anyone is curious 1. His c6 combined with his normal attacks leave him open to attacks esp. in large crowds, enemies "freshly coming in", and enemies lurking behind him regardless whether or not he has a light/medium wep 2. Slow ass running speed even with speed added to his 3rd wep, good luck outrunning your enemies 3. His c6 is hard to control to be "unblockable" even with enemy officers behind him, I'd say I won't mind this if there was a way for him to escape safely after failing to stun or ice the officers.
@DW5chaosmodeguide I didn't mean dare as in challenge. Lol. I regretted the wording after I clicked post? What I meant was, would you be up for it? And I thought so. So, is Deng Ai at your Top Tier? Because his double element setup is CRAZY! The reason I thought it would be hard is because some characters have super damaging and useful musous while other's have better charge attack damage.(i.e. double element/synergy setups). But that's cool that you're doing it. Lol. Awesome. Subscribing.
@jsmasterlubu3 About Deng Ai...I'm still new to the game, but I would use Battle for Supremacy as the stage to gauge all characters. And because of this, a tier list for this game is likely relatively easy to make. The difficulty is the highest, and it's difficult in a way that is also very representative of the majority of the game. So Deng Ai would have to perform well here.
@jsmasterlubu3 Hehe, interesting that you use the word "dare" I imagine that such a Tier List has already been made, but not documented or finalized - I mean the work is probably all laid out to some decent degree of completion. And yes, I do plan on making one. I think it will be easy this time around. And it would be limited to EX weapons, with the switch weapon being anything. Now why would you say that it's impossible? Similarity is what makes this one easy - much like Warriors Orochi
@Saestrol Yea the short Musou strat makes me really love using Guan Yu. dude archers always ruin my vids. Every time that shit happens when im recording, I literally yell, WUT THE FK MAN!! Ideally, since Chaos overvalues defense, the archers should be eliminated first, but I always skip that shit so I don't lose entertainment factor for viewers. btw, I was watching ur DK vids a few days ago after finishing some projects. Really stress relieving it was.
Why not use a heavy weapon with a short musou bar? This weapon is not that different when compared to his great 4th weapon, I just think maybe if you use the the weapon I mentioned above could even bring much more skill.
If you are talking about the true mosou attack activation, it is activated by using the item way of mosou If you are talking about the musou rage token, you press r3 (pressing down the right analog stick) to activate it. You can collect these every time you earn 100 kills with a 4th weapon but other than that, you either have to get it through certain wooden crates throughout the map or/and kill certain elite guards depending on the map
@davidchen128 Guan Yu's garbage in this game compared to how he is portrayed. All KOEI had to do was make his Musou a grounded Musou. Then it'd be the only grounded Musou in the game that launches enemies into the air after! This would simply put him in Tier 3 near the top which is so fitting

I love how the game tells you soldiers are "fleeing" and then you hear stuff like "It's over" and other death lines.

Man. Those deadly archers just wouldn't give you break. Though I'm liking like the idea of using a short Musou to juggle quickly into another.
Ahhh it's fixed now, now I'm happy
it would be worth considering a light weapon as an alternative setup,right?
@Saestrol
Yea the short Musou strat makes me really love using Guan Yu.

@DW5chaosmodeguide Still... Since the musou is so short, you can't exactly do OHKO with them anymore, right?
Woot! More videos !
what does he say when he does his musou attack? ".... blue dragon"
damn the audio is fk'd again
@chris24the1
I am very impressed by DW7 so far
I plan to get it
whats the difference between xtreme legends and regular?
cara como vc consegue todos esses itens?
Hold up, how are you using musou rage when neither your health is low or the musou rage is activated?
The Way of Musou item does that, which he is using here.
If you are talking about the true mosou attack activation, it is activated by using the item way of mosou

@pagpmike
Ling Tong eh
hmmmm that COULD be possible
@chris24the1
I don't =)
@DW5chaosmodeguide it's okay, I still love you...
@davidchen128

lol
that loser will be uploaded last
Make the weapon evolution capable. 7 normal attack string+musou is enough to kill a generic.
I want Ling Tong!
Guan Yu move set is a joke, play his weapon in Destiny mode is a nightmare...
Defo easiest chaos mode of all dw games. 4 was hardest
