    So glad to see/hear a demo used with live instruments rather than EDM. Great demo! Thank you.

    Great demo - well done! You show a lot of features in only 11mins! This is by far the best demo video on this great new plug-in - I watched all the others and they didn't even cover half what you did... Thanks!

    I bought this after using the Soothe 2 trial for a month. Soothe is good and made a difference in my mixes but, I do not see a $200+ difference between the two. Smooth Operator clearly works well. For the price it's a no brainer for me.

    Hurrah! 'Eat To The Beat' is back! :-) By the way, what's the album on the top right? I've been trying to think what it is for ages now with no success. Back on topic - the Baby Audio plugins are great. This one looks super easy to use too, with obvious sound differences to the mix. Just what I need. ;-D Cheers for the vid.

    • @AudioTechTV

      @@AudioTechTV Thanks for putting me out of my misery regarding 'Paul's Boutique'. ;-) This was another vid where I learned something new, not necessarily related to the plugin...I'm now thinking of adding the Smooth Operator to one of my songs and then adding as many sidechains as I can to the vocals. :-D

    • @DaveChips
      @DaveChips 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's not a fair comparison really this thing is more in category with Soothe, Gulfoss,Spectral Dynamics and other spectral processors

    • @joost3783
      @joost3783 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@DaveChips well a dynamic eq is a spectral dynamic processor, but whatever I already compared it (the smooth operator has very slow release is what i found out)

  • @cedricsimonakafrozenjazz
    @cedricsimonakafrozenjazz 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Thanks for this video, for the sidechain use, you are saying that basically it can act a bit like the famous "TrackSpacer" vst? This would be really cool!

    • @cedricsimonakafrozenjazz
      @cedricsimonakafrozenjazz 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Well I tried the sidechain feature, and even if the manual says it is "chirurgical", well, it seems to always detect loads of low frequencies, even if my sidechain signal is totally silent under 800Hz... so I guess this is not at all a replacement for trackspacer unfortunately

    I was just about to purchase Soothe 2, the price is a bit mad though! Would you recommend buying smooth operator instead?

    • @AudioTechTV
      @AudioTechTV  3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I haven’t used Soothe 2 personally I’ve seen others use it and it looks very similar to this. The price difference is huge though. I would only use Soothe and this plugin subtly so for me I would go for Smooth Operator just because of the price. But like I said I never used Soothe so I can’t really comment on that.
