He pieced it together alright. And ended up playing one of the best guitar solos conjured up in THE era of ridiculously great guitar solos. Vito was the most woefully underrated guitar player of the 1980s.
This man to this day is one of the absolute best guitarists that ever live. I love his guitar playing. I love his music. I'm working through some stuff of his right now. The best I can but I love his philosophy of playing. I love the way he uses this triotic apprehensions. His tapping is incredible. I suck at tapping, but I'm trying to fix it. But he explains it here better than anyone else. I've ever seen how he thinks about it. Melodically, his use of diatonic majors are some of the best I've ever ever seen. This guy is so insanely good. He was one of my absolute favorite guitarists back in high school. And is still for this day.
@@vitobrattaforever402 - Vito is the MAN!!!! We gotta find him and get him back!! Such a gem to the GUITAR WORLD!!! Thanks for the post man, it's Vito teaching Vito!!! What a cool guy!! aND EXPLAINING his philosophy, perfect!
By the time White Lion hit the scene, you had already heard so many guitarists doing tapping, arpeggios, shredding, etc.. A lot of them wanted to be the fastest, and just fill the solo section with as many notes as possible. What I loved about Vito's solos was that they were so incredibly melodic, with flashes of all techniques mentioned before, but he also let it "breath". He didn't just play a technique just to be cool, but played it to lead into another part. The tapping, bends and slides, then a fast run, some double picking, with chordal parts and moving octaves- it was just so incredibly melodic and unique. His style was so fresh and new, while using the same techniques all of the other guitarists of the time were using. The same goes for the chords in the song. He was by far the most melodic player. The most impressive thing though - he made it look easy and relaxed, and seemed to be very humble.
I admire this man choosing family over fame and fortune. I also believe he is one of theee most under-rated guitarists of modern time. I saw White Lion four or five times in Omaha, and they always delivered. 🤘
Amazing guitarist, when I first listened to All You Need Is Rock n Roll at the age of 13yo I never realized what a good guitarist was til I heard him play on that song, hope him and Tramp can work it out, its never too late for a White Lion tour
Can't believe he actually bends that octave up with his left hand which still holds the lower note, instead of using the right hand which just tapped that harmonic.
He hurt his hand.He is a perfectinous. And i believe because of his hand injury in the past he cant play like he used too.Vito was so underrated he was so good
Yep….. I like this guys playing……. He is obviously influenced by certain other players but he took it and made it his own thing….. Well done young man…..😎👍
@@beerubbed7345 I've been in the music business for 30+ years and I know several who just completely quit and went on and did something completely different in their lives and sold all of their equipment and never played again. I've also known people that said they quit disappearing for 10 years and then came back and tried it again, but I can assure you there are people that have completely stopped playing I don't know if it disappeared from their soul or their heart I just know I could never stop.
@Clarkké Peterson as do I, I'm one who had to stop gigging because of a hearing injury. I still write and record though. This day and age with social media and other outlets artists don't have to tour or need record companies. Vito still plays, he had an injury. He could get an electric guitar with nylon strings and record. I'm sure both of us agree we'd be happy about that
You look up best guitarists online and Vito doesn't even show up in any list I've ever seen. It's complete bullshit. This is one of the most original solos out there and it's amazing!

So underrated. Vito Bratta created some of the most beautiful licks and chord progressions. Yet, he killed it on some incredible leads.
