Ok I'm new to this coin thing so I'm very green, but thanks to your videos I'm learning fast. Unfortunately I still have a lot of questions that I need to ask, and some of them will probably leave you thinking is this dude for real? Yes, I am seriously asking that question. Anyway as you were talking about the zinc rot & gas bubbles you showed that 83 D penny with the spot next to the D. I swear that is the exact coin in my hand. I know it's probably not but it looks like it color and all. So is it common for the exact same spots whith the coins that happens to? If anyone could answer a nubes question it would be appreciated. Thank you.

I watched this video with my daughter and she was so excited when you said Fayetteville, North Carolina. So I guess I'll be taking her cherry picking this weekend.
I have a 2013P dime that has a "sun beam" or "rainbow" effect to the left of Roosevelt's head on the obverse side and the same effect on the reverse side of the coin. In one coinopp video it was advised that this is a polishing error. Does anyone know what this coin may be worth?

I found a very rare error in 2007 penny with a very weird mint mark. It looks like a dropped upside down D cut in half, looking like a letter v.

How should I post share Mr uncirculated NY coin then year I have alot of dd errors rare
I’m the opposite of Jeffrey. I thought I knew the difference between double-dies and mechanical doubling, and die deterioration, but I clearly do not see the same way, and the 1968 penny is a good example, or is it just a poor quality picture? I do not see the double dye. What exactly are you looking for?I see a speck of the right side corner on the “U’s” missing, and some of the arrows pointing to nothing, no error looking, no doubling, no overlay or split in lettering, so what are we suppose to see? Could you explain better exactly what a double die is and how it happens in the stamping process. In die deterioration, the die loses its detail quality, crispness, sharpness. A double strike will cause what you are calling mechanical doubling, as well as those deterioration examples, so what is a double dye exactly. Love your vids too by the way. Thanks

Eric Woody if you are referring to gas bubble, zinc rot, mechanical doubling or die deterioration then no you are very very wrong. These do not carry value...at all. People do try to sell them as fake errors on eBay all the time.. but the people selling these are just ripping people off. So no. These do not have value. A true doubled die or rpm def does along with true mint errors.
I feel like this guy might be a coin shop owner or dealer.
Sadly he (Dustin Morgan) has passed away but he wasn't a coin shop owner or dealer. He just enjoyed helping those in the coin community and asked a lot of questions.

I didn't mean any disrespect, it just seemed he had dealt with the public a bit.
Also, Im only about 3 months into coins and I learned a ton from his video.
@@nightmare347 He did help a friend get his coin shop up and running for a few months. Now his partner Robert Lawson has taken over, he does auctions mostly but if you watch it live you can ask questions and he knows a lot about coins, Dustin used to talk about him all the time.
