Coin Opp, Hello, I want to thank you and ALL the hosts of these coin collectors' videos, for introducing me to the world of these coins. The cents in particular. I'm very encouraged, because at least two of you experts refer to "pocket change". I get devastated when I think about how many cents have passed through my hands, without giving a single thought to their worth, over the decades. I have stopped giving out my coins. When I buy something with cash, I give only paper bills, and save the coin change, until I go home and can check them with my loupes.
Dustin, Never stop making these nice videos for You Tube. I've been collecting for 40 years and now I'm just starting to research the value of old coins. Just your research on pennies is what I watch over and over again. Please keep making more videos on pennies. The involvement of researching pennies is what gets us all started in the first place. I may pause you 20 times during a video just to check to see if I have a coin that you are talking about. I would rather listen to you than anyone else on You Tube.

got that 10 power and what a difference. At Lacey coin in Washington state. 15.00 that's all. Learned when I was there about forgery coins. And WOW there is a lot of them. Makes it even harder to find the coin your looking for. For example the 1943 S copper. could be a altered 48 or 42 or 45 maybe even a 49. With a regular magnifier glass you can waste a lot of time, gas, ect. or just take it as a learning experience. But that 10X power magnifier, WOW no more questions with that it either is or it totally ain't. Well have great fun and happy New Year

If a non-novice were to find one of these rare pennies what would we do next? Who do we call where would we take them. This stuff and antiques confuse me when it's said they are worth a lot of money because I think where would I find a buyer other listing on eBay. Thank you for the video I never knew all this. I can't wait to show my son. My dad used to save all kinds of coins from travel n just in general but never knew this kind of info and now in his old age he is passing the coins down to my son. hi, i found a silver/zinc 1993 penny that is larger than a regular penny and silver..it is not metal, will not stick to a magnet..the penny has the same sound when dropped onto my marble counter top as a dime..i took the penny to a local jewelry/coin store here where i live and was told that it appears to be a dime blank stamped with the lincoln/penny stamp..the jewelry/coin store wanted to send it somewhere to be looked at by more educated/knowledgeable coin dealers and i declined that offer..do you know if any pennies made in 1993 where made of zinc/dime blanks by mistake? the video was very informative and i am willing to bet most people dont know that some of the coins in circulation/in there pockets/coin purses could be worth quite a bit considering its face value..i never would of thought that rare/valuable coins would be in circulation, any advice or info would be greatly appreciated..i realize that you would need to see the penny to get a accurate assessment, is it possible a dime blank could of been stamped with the lincoln/1 cent stamp? thank you

Hi I found a 1998 plain that has a very narrow space between the first and second collums and a wide space between. the second and third from the right side is this an error?
1994 95 96 the coins were suppose to be close. 1993-2008 they were suppose to be close. 89-1992 is suppose to be wide . So that’s why you look for close AM 1992 or wide am 98 99 00. This is nothing new .

I have a 1999 d with a s below the d it's doubled in front every where even the ear is doubled. On reverse it's doubled and the steps are full with lines plus the AM is touching and it a red penny. Where do I go to have some one look at it.

Coin Opp, I found a definite double die. It's a 1994 cent, and the doubling is on the "4". But, JUST on the 4. Does it count? On the same coin, the word liberty shows an extra vertical line on the "L" and "I". But, that's it. Does this cent count?
tristan de guzman it can be missing for a couple reasons. typically it's struck thru grease. there is a small market for it on eBay or places as such. they trade for a buck or two.
ok lets say I found a 1988 rainbow coloring plus a no fg /plus a 10%tilt on the memorial an a double ear lobe. what would be worth in an ms 65 + state I need to have an ideal for pcgs so I can put more insc on it,an it would be a big help as too its worth or value. tys guys

You have to get ur pennies "authenticated" otherwise they are not worth more than $100 bucks sold raw on EBay but if u get em "minted" ur pennies just went up $thousands,it all depends what coin u got..Now are they beat up? Can u "still see" the initials? If u can,its of value for most part.. If I can't see the initials anymore then I dont even think about sending em in to be minted CUZ if u can't initials chances are nobody WANTS it unless its a transition coin,a 1972 double die,it has to be extremely wanted in order to get any $$ out of it but u can sell ur coins "raw" on EBay, "raw" means u didn't send it in to be minted.

+Karl Woschkolup u would need to get that authenticated. Once authenticated a buyer will be easy. I would suggest heritage coin auctions. But first get it 3rd party graded and authenticated. Pcgs, ngc, or anacs

Robby Yates 1993 is the year that they started the close AM but some 1992 and 1992d were accidentally struck using the close AM dies meant for 1993. The 1992 penny is supposed to be a wide AM.
