This breed needs to be taken on a daily, long walk. Do not allow this dog to walk out in front of the handler while out on a walk. Pack leader goes first and the Presa must understand that all humans are above him in the pecking order. The Presa will thrive if given a job to do.

Please use a search engine to look up the topic "Bull Baiting" and check out the images and I think you will be very surprised when you look at the Old English Woodcut prints. The Bulldogs in those prints are really Pit Bulls and not the English Bulldogs everyone thinks of. People that are really into Pit Bulls really refer to them as bulldogs!

Why are people saying this guy is leaving his dogs exposed to the elements? Look at the back of the kennels, there's doors leading inside. He has a nice set up and the dogs look well fed. However my only criticism is they look a little "soft". My Presa looks like he's chiseled out of stone, I think his dogs just need a little more exercise to get their definition back. It's unfair to criticize this guy as a Vick type though, his dogs are in no way being abused.

Ok well giving advice to someone is one thing, insulting them is another. Presas are naturally muscular and massive like this. Before assuming that he's "chunking them up to look bigger and badder", do your research. And also, a dog overweight isn't a huge deal. Look at these dogs. You can tell they are stable, and gentle. You can't buy a Presa, raise it wrong, and expect it to be like that. Obviously he DOES know how to handle them correctly.

You should screen who you sell to because a dog like that, that hasn't been socialized or trained, could really do some damage to some kid or a person walking on the street. Dogo is also a working breed from Argentina they hunt wild boar and mountain lions. This is for the person who said they are only show! These are "Americanized" Presas. The true press is much smaller up to about 120lbs and very aggressive towards strangers. I like the Americanized version less hard more prone to accept correction.

How is this guy mistreating his animals? The kennels are roomy and clean. Most people who have a multi dog yard use kennels or chain spots or else fights would be breaking out every two seconds. These dogs aren't Lhasa Apsos for Christ's sake.
2.10 is very similar 2 my presa canario except it hasnt got cropped ears and is still a 13 month pup, its got the height of this but is still slim and has a small chest compared 2 this. mine looks like a labrador. =L
too, heavy the Perro De Presa Canario , is a dog of function and agility, those dogs are not conditioned at all, whats the point to have a big ass functional breed, that aint functional....

The original Bull Mastiff really started as a Bandogge. Now if you really want to see something very interesting check out the very first Boxers and see what the Germans call an English Bulldog; you will see what I am talking about because there are pictures of the very first registered Boxers from around the 1890s..
I have actually been to this kennel a few times. He does a great job with his dogs, very conscious of their food, health etc. I don't think you should negatively judge someone or what they do when you don't really have a clue. I think our society tends to forget the reasons why man domesticated the canine. @MrNativeDancer If you can, get yourself a copy of Richard Stratton's "This is the American Pit Bull Terrier". It is considered a classic as far as dog history books go. It really sets the standard and logically explains how these dogs were created. I personally like Presas but I am truly very fascinated by the Spanish Alano. The American Pit Bull Terrier has this dog in its back ground. Get this book while you still can because it is already a collectors item.
According to who? You don't know if this guy takes his dogs out all day and then puts them back in overnight, for example. There is nothing wrong with kennels if the dogs are getting attention during the day. A pack of Presa is much different than a couple Americanized pet dogs.

@MrNativeDancer If you can, get yourself a copy of Richard Stratton's "This is the American Pit Bull Terrier". It is considered a classic as far as dog history books go. It really sets the standard and logically explains how these dogs were created. I personally like Presas but I am truly very fascinated by the Spanish Alano. The American Pit Bull Terrier has this dog in its back ground. Get this book while you still can because it is already a collectors item.

According to who? You don't know if this guy takes his dogs out all day and then puts them back in overnight, for example. There is nothing wrong with kennels if the dogs are getting attention during the day. A pack of Presa is much different than a couple Americanized pet dogs.
