Meat gave everything on stage, 150%. He passed out after several concerts. They even had an oxygen tank for him behind the stage. More Meat Loaf sounds good. 🥰 Suggestions: "Bat out of hell", the title song from the same album like "Paradise...", "For crying out loud", "I'm gonna love her for both of us" or "Dead Ringer for love" with Cher as his duet partner. Just a few of all the great songs. Btw., he hated it when people spelled his name in one word. He stated this in many interviews. 😉 He would say something like that: What would you think if I wrote Michaelduffy instead of Michael Duffy?
Yes he freakin crushed this!!!! Infectious energy!!!! Will definitely check those out soon!!!! And oh wow I had no idea hahaha from now on I’ll refer to him the right way ahaha 😅🤣
@@michaelwduffy one of his later concerts he actually had a Heart Attack on stage I was there luckily they got him to Hospital in time to save him, after he recovered he put on another concert to apologize to his fans as he was only on stage for half an hour before his heart attack and gave everyone a free signed CD and reduced entry fee into the concert
"Ball of Energy" He showed the same energy at the AZ State Fair 30 years after this. His vocal range had faded a bit and he needed more support but he still sweated out the gallons on stage.
I've watched MANY people react to this and NEVER mentioned phil Rizzuto? Yes that is Phil Rizzuto, he announced this music video just for meatloaf way back in the 70's and it was my first album ever, that I asked for Christmas! You just got a NEW SUB. 😊
Welcome to the wonderful world of Meat Loaf and Jim Steinman! Meat was an absolute powerhouse performer and insane vocalist. I hope you do get to check out more of his work, particularly with Steinman, such as "Bat Out of Hell", "For Crying Out Loud" and "I'd Do Anything For Love". Despite his out-there, larger-than-life stage presence, he was actually a shy, private person. Stephen Fry described him as "simultaneously frightening and cuddly", which is very apt considering he could go from throwing a piano at you one minute, to giving a conciliatory hug in the next! As for Jim, he also wrote songs for Bonnie Tyler - "Total Eclipse of the Heart", Celine Dion - "It's All Coming Back to Me Now" (although I'd recommend the original version by Pandora's Box), as well as two songs for the movie Streets of Fire, and much more besides.
Yes I will definitely try and check out those songs and wow that is fascinating often times most great performers are like that I hear robin williams was the same way he was a rather reserved person! Will definitely check out those songs thanks for the comment C ! 😁🙏🙏
I detect a Rocky Horror influence in Loaf's presentation. Impressive that you recognized Phil Rizzuto instantly. Of course I was there when this monster hit LP was released. All of Side 2 is classic. It was fun watching you discover this amazing song.
I was SHOCKED that M.D. recognized Phil Rizzoto instantly. I'm a 53 year old Baseball fan...#GOMARINERS...and had no clue who it was. I 100% know the name. I 100% recognize the voice from many old school baseball clips. I just never came up with 2 when adding 1+1.

Meatloaf is Broadway rock n roll. Not one mention of the hand kerchief??

Remember they were 17 when they started out.

Fun fact: the woman in the video is Karla DeVito. She is not actually singing, she is lip synching to vocals recorded by Ellen Foley.

thanks have a great day !!! 😁
One of the most overrated "performers" of our time. Saw him in the 80s in a small venue in Indianapolis and it was two hours of hysterical screaming, off key grunting, and throwing beer on the audience. There is a difference between talent and "energy".
And yet he's still got the #6 highest selling album of all times, ahead of Madonna, the Beatles, Pink Floyd, Queen, etc., and you're complaining on TH-cam.
