Paar Magaley Paar is a 1963 Indian Tamil-language directed by A. Bhimsingh. It is based on the play Petral Thaan Pillaiya. The film features Sivaji Ganesan, M. R. Radha, Sowcar Janaki and C. R. Vijayakumari in lead roles. The film, produced by V. C. Subburaman, had musical score by Viswanathan-Ramamoorthy and was released on 12 July 1963. This film was dubbed into Telugu as Kavala Pillalu and released in 1964.

The disc number is a number token used in maternity hospitals. The baby of the no 1 disc wrist wearing delivered mom will have the same no 1 disc.It is very precarious & attentive work by the doctors & nurses. Slight carelessness would result in exchange of babies.
So the responsible nurses would be like walking on the rope.,till the baby is handed over to the respective mom.That too in the Government hospitals at the highly populated India...where there would be 1000 deliveries per day.,we can imagine the situations.
Once the mistake is done ....no disclosure nor excuse.Just burry the matter and shut up like this movie.
If at all any nurse / doctor confess
they would be terminated from service.

This story is said to be adapted from the story of English movie"The mayor of caster bridge., which is UK film.
Here the death of the nurses & baby disc is the basis of the story.
In Mayor of caster bridge..a poor man and his wife have a girl baby and he forsakes his wife and daughter and goes off.After some time his daughter dies.,and his ex wife marries anther man.,and have girl baby.Then the 2nd husband also absconds.Later on the wife dies leaving her dauther.
During that span of time the 1st husband succeeds in his business of hay truster and become the mayor of the town.He has an internal urge which pushes him to see her wife and daughter.With a great efforts he finds her daughter ,who was just introduced to him as the daughter
of so & so(name of his ex wife).
He takes her with him to his mason and lives with lots of love.,and the daughter enjoys all his riches.
Unfortunately he comes to know the truth..and he rejects her.
The story was altered according to the Tamil.,culture & customs.

மேலும் இரண்டாவது கணவரும் தலைமறைவானார். பின்னர் மனைவி தன் மகளை விட்டு இறந்து விடுகிறாள்.
அந்த காலக்கட்டத்தில் முதல் கணவர் நல்ல வியாபாரம் செய்து, தொழிலில் வெற்றி பெற்று நகரத்தின் மேயராக ஆனார்.
மகளையும் அவரது மனைவியையும் பார்க்க, அவரது உள் உணர்ச்சி மிகவும் தூண்டுகிறது.
பெரும் முயற்சியில் தனது முன்னாள் மனைவியின் மகளாக தனக்கு அறிமுகமான தனது மகளை கண்டுபிடிக்கிறார். அவர் அவளை தன்னுடன் மேன்சனுக்கு அழைத்துச் சென்று மிகுந்த அன்புடன் வாழ்கிறார்.
துரதிர்ஷ்டவசமாக அவன் உண்மையை அறிந்து அவளை நிராகரிக்கிறான். இப்படி கதை செல்கிறது.
தமிழ் கலாச்சாரம் மற்றும் பழக்கவழக்கங்களுக்கு ஏற்ப கதை மாற்றப்பட்டு இந்த திரைப்படம் ஆனது.
