I must have watched triple frontier like 4 times and today I am watching it again...lol
Every once in a while a director will put together a captivating story, like what accurately was depicted in this movie, a similarity to INDIANA JONES and PLATOON all wrapped in one. GREAT CAST OF ACTORS names I never heard before, but will look out for in other movies.

I’m curious to see how good this movie actually is
great solid (albeit uneven, and with too little heist/too much escape) that comes off as increasingly inplausabile and unsatisfying -- but still a good watch with awesome action and some great cinematography. hope Netflix makes more... the budget was worth it IMO. no idea why so many are saying it was a "flop" .. it's been viewed 62 million times (source: Netflix). if a theatrical movie had that many viewings (even considering lower ticket prices worldwide) it would easily break a half billion dollars. now, was $110 million to produce it worth it? maybe not... a sequel with a 70-90m budget would be fine. but I'd still love a sequel ... great action flick movie, decent as a crime drama, but most importantly, HUGE HUGE improvement over the absolute shit that _Bright_ was

ALL Charlie ALL THE TIME. MULE safety from humane society. In the sequence where the actors lead the mules on a mountain ridge and they stop to talk before a mule falls down the mountain, this scene was filmed at the base of rocky cliffs where production created a trail. A bluescreen was placed behind the trail to make it look as if they were on a mountain. There was an existing wide road at the base of the
cliff on which the trail was built. On action the actors led the mules down the trail, stopped for dialogue, then proceeded. Production also used a device which allowed the perception of a fall. The mule was positioned before the drop area. The drop device was a hydraulically operated platform made of 3/4 inch plywood covered with rubber matting and dirt. When activated the area dropped in a sloped, funnel-like fashion from the trail toward the open road. Prior to action, the wrangler attached a nylon 1/4” rope to the mule’s halter in addition to the lead line that the actor was holding. On action, the actors and mules remained stationary while the other actor walked across the drop area; as the mule walked on to the drop area, the hydraulics lowered the footing and simultaneously the wrangler turned the mule’s head toward herself to direct the mule off which the mule jumped to the stall mats below. The jump was mere inches off the ground safely achieved. One of the dumbest movies I've ever seen. The stupidity of some of the decisions made by these mercenaries was laughable. This movie is laughable.
Charles Engelbrecht watched this last night for the first time. No where near as bad as some of the reviews. Actually enjoyed it. I’ll give you the dumb decision making though....but at the same time, money can change people so I kind of get how greed took over logic. If you want dumb decision making in a military film, watch lone survivor... and that’s a true story! I facepalmed during that scene when they said “we’ve got two options... kill them or let them go” ....eh.... no, you have several options.... all of which better than the dumb one you went with lol
