- Ravi is shattered to discover that the woman of his dreams is going to wed his wealthy widowed father Rai Bahadur. Rai Bahadur however steps away and convinces the girl to choose Ravi as her life partner. But it wouldn't be too long until Ravi comprehends the real reason why she marries him. He faces even more trauma when the police arrest his wife for murder.

A very good film from Mohan Kumar. Tanuja's is one of the best role of her carrier. Laxmikant Pyarelal gave their best. Introduction movie was Anand Bakhshi's last one. We loved him in this genre. SQ-Dallas-USA

Tanuja is just awesome...Kudos to Producer-Director Mohan Kumarji. Fine music by Laxmi-Pyare,n equally good lyrics by the Great Anand Bakshiji.But where has the new find hero,Ratan Chopra,been lost?

A good watchable movie with a seamlessly woven plot that makes it engaging. Strongly recommend watching this movie. Tanuja was already 30 years when this movie released.. Hero debutante Ratan Chopra has good screen presence but is somewhat restrained in his performance - may be because this was his debut. Premnath lends good support to the narrative. Paro, Jeevan and another actor (often seen in Dev Anand's movies - don't know his name) play the crooks who destroy the heroine's happiness. Tanuja is a competent actress who never got her due from Bollywood - may be because she was far too bohemian in her outlook. Her dresses in the movie were designed by her mother Shobana Samarth. "Reshma Javan Ho gayi" is good though the song looks a bit inappropriate for Tanuja. Songs sung by Anand Bakshi, particularly, Baaghon Mein Bahar Ayee are worth listening to several times. The only sour note is the irritating performances by Tun Tun, Brahmachari and Meena T in the name of comedy. They do not provide the needed comic relief in an otherwise dour narrative - rather the hamming gets too much after a while.
The song "Nainon Ki Gaadi Chali" sung by Asha Bhosale and picturized on Helen in a ghagra-choli is a delight to watch. Wonder why this song is never played on radio channels or even Vividh Bharati.
Prem Nath plays a best role as a lawyer in the court. Never before so.! A good movie. 😎😎❤️❤️
