I think it depends on the circumstance. I went to a wedding and had 2 glasses of wine. I was stopped bc I yielded at a stop sign, they smelled wine on my breath. I blew .9 and the limit is .8. I wasn’t drunk or tipsy at all. That to me, is not a felony offense. But if I would been plastered and hit a car and harmed someone THAT would’ve been felonious.
all those tests are required protocol to gain a conviction in court. It's apparent to the police and everyone else she is drunk, but that's not evidence in court. Many years ago, police could just say you are drunk, and enough said. on that note, most dui lawyers would tell you not to submit to any tests, don't answer any questions, and don't resist arrest.

It’s illegal in the USA, too. I think it’s a misdemeanor charge depending on whether it’s looked at as disorderly conduct or indecent exposure. They may have added it to her charges later.
We have lost so many great people because of DUIs. The last one I heard of in my city was waiting on the red light and was hit from behind by a DUI driver.

Yep. And in a lot of states the FSTs are voluntary. The police won't always tell you that, and they are allowed to lie. I'm not anti-police, but people need to know their rights. If you watch enough of these, the script is almost identical, "I just want to make sure you're okay to drive" but they've already made up their mind and their just bolstering their evidence.
Not true, people do the SFSTs and are let go all the time. The reason you don't see it is watching sober people do well on the tests and NOT get arrested is boring so no one bothers to get and then upload the bodycam footage.

I saw an Arkansas state police video that a drunk woman did just that....just pulled her pants down and pooped in broad daylight behind her car when the officer was trying to get her under control. Then she started trying to get away from him, running around her car with her pants down past her knees. Oh and she asked the officer for (toilet) paper after she dropped poo. Unbelievable.... I wish I could unsee that video....
My last shift at work (as an emergency medical dispatcher) I had an entire shift full of people who kept talking over the top of me like this woman. Almost every person I spoke to was incapable of just listening for a minute & kept asking questions or talking while I was trying to explain things or ask questions. Drove me nuts! And was weird how many behaved that way throughout the night. I didn’t do anything differently to every other shift, but normally I only get a few who won’t listen at all & that’s normally because they’re either scared, or frustrated so it’s understandable. But not a whole shift of callers 🤷♀️
