The point of being a pro seller on vinted is that you won’t get banned once you hit certain thresholds set for private sellers. I don’t expect my item to be pushed above others, I don’t pay anything to be pro and vinted’s core user base expects to be dealing with normal people so there is no additional value in a business seller. With the right product at the right price, it doesn’t matter
Point of it is so you dont get banned! I wouldn't expect mine to get pushed anymore as i dont pay anything for it. I also think alot of people see the pro logo and choose me because as you say people trust pro sellers more. I sell the exact same amount on pro as i did on a normal account. I think giving vibted the right time and listing the right type of things can really work for you. Im currently probably selling more on vinted than ebay ( Mainly a clothing seller).
Clothing is their main game. Not any point in it really, maybe a cap on how many a private seller can sell. I don't know, just not good that they push down pro accounts
I frequently surf vinted and barely ever come across item from the pro seller's Jon As you said still battling it out they 2 so it may change but you'll have to pay for it I'd imagine 👍
I’ve been to towns all over the UK for the charity shops, I’ve been to a lot (including Wellington which I don’t find too bad to be honest), in all my years I’ve only said it twice to myself that I’d never return there and Cannock was one of the towns. Then a week later you dropped that video where you also visited Cannock and I thought yeah that’s confirmed it lol
Hello Jon, buy yourself WHITE iodine 15% with regards to your cold sore. I used to suffer with cold sores, but since putting a few drops on my wrist everyday I've not had a cold sore or a cold for four years. If you're ever feeling under the weather you can also put 3 to 4 drops in a glass of water and drink it...All the best Ange
Just started with vinted pro and sales are better then ebay, i dont mind waiting for the cash, only thing i dont like about it is you cant sell cosmetics
I don’t get what’s wrong with this? Vinted is primarily a marketplace for normal people not sellers. Vinted Pro is also free and it’s there for the HMRC not because Vinted want it on their platform. Also when people search for an item they search lowest price first so I wouldn’t worry about this affecting anyone.
Vinted pro is terrible. I have to wait 20 days more or less to get paid, and vinted force you to go pro if you sell new with tags and the same make and items. 😫
Like Ebay its just a legal requirement to tell the customer you are a business and not a private seller. I'm sure there are endless businesses on here with their 1000+ feedbacks, nobody has that many old t shirts. Whats more you get paid more ie 40p on a £10 sale, maybe this is for packaging or insurance incase you have to refund. I think Ricky just hit his sale limit for the money laundring check which just happened to come just after he went pro, just coincidence and would have happened regardless. Personally I always browse new listings anyway and newer items tend to trend.
I just think it's a pointless thing. As even tonight on tv a program was promoting vinted to sell old clothes. Thing is if the average person sells so stuff, they might like getting that extra bit of money and start doing it part time
@@JonSheppardsells Yeah it isnt much difference really but I guess its just nice removing the fear of getting suspended or whatever. I think in reality as long as you are not listing 100 items every day and only list single interesting items like clothes, games, records, vintage junk etc they are not likely to care. Start listing loads of new big name brands and im sure theyll have you upgraded in a week. They also dont seem to like multiple same items or relisting the same item over, I guess these will flag you up. I dont care about the 14 day thing and try and treat Vinted as a bonus and an outlet for stuff that isnt worth listing on ebay or discogs which are my main turnover points so actually barely touch the Vinted balance and never really know how much is there. I do eventually end up crosslisting from the other sites but generally under £6 and it goes on Vinted, rest on the other 2. I was always terrible for having boxes of cheap stuff sitting around and piling up till there was enough for job lots but vinted I may as well just list. Its definitely still all about clothing though, maybe in time it may become more of a go to place for other stuff.
You said there is no upside then listed all the reasons someone is more likely to buy an item from a business/pro seller than a normal everyday seller. Not sure where the scam is really
I drop all my receipt in the door pocket too. I have a cold sore on my top lip now too! Like brother from another mother 😂 You’re not doing those windscreen wipers any favours like that by the way Hot tap water in a zip lock plastic bag… you can thank me later
All these resellers thinking they should get special treatment for selling you dont pay nothing on vinted as a private seller or a business seller its just so you pay your tax the same as any other profitable business all sites are the same if you was paying i would say items go to the top as a business owner NOT IN THIS SORT OF THING i pay tax and pay for marketing so i can be seen more than competitors but i dont moan when joe public is above me on a search engine you all need to stop worrying about what other people are doing and concentrate on your own business as just comes across bitter and moaning. Nothing personal i enjoy these videos when its about pick ups ect but lately there just negative about how they feel there hard done by as they have to pay to run a business.
@JonSheppardsells you are right this situation doesn't directly affect me as stated I have my own business but I run positively if you are not paying for something you can't then moan about how it operates ie if you was paying because you are a business and then you're items wasn't highlighted higher then someone selling there personal belongings I could understand but no one pays so why do you feel should be higher I pay alot of money in marketing to be higher on a search engine but people pay more and are higher but I don't get negative about it just do you and stop worrying about what everyone else is getting I like the videos when you guys pick things up make a profit ect but lately it just moaning about ebay now vinted come on just do what you are good at.
Good to hear I will give it a watch like I say I enjoy watching pick ups ect i just switch off with the moaning. stay positive and things will work and you're business and personal life will grow just do you 👍🏻
But would your items sell above a pro seller?? Just because they might be pushed above a pro doesn’t mean it will sell. I’d say more buyers will start to seek out pro sellers with the same items and buy from them because of returns having to be accepted. Plenty of pro resellers are doing well on vinted and not worrying about whether their items are dropped down. You’re selling on a platform with no fees for pro sellers and compared to eBay fees that’s got to be a win, you’re getting all of the money! Yes their customer service is rubbish compared to eBay but it’s rare that you need them.
9 out of 10 people send items in a crushed up box and then wrap it up in a tesco back and Sellotape it up I have purchased loads and nobbody learn EVERY Couriour has a job ssecure can place your maybe on th bottom of a heavy bundle (being sqashed)

That's true just let people list as much as they want
you dont get banned
but are listings should be the same as a none pro not below them
@Lisa-cj8cu should be all the same definitely
Can’t imagine Vinted wanted to create the Pro account, they just did it to appease the authorities so they didn’t have to keep booting sellers off.
Probably

@GrahamDingwall-x3y Ebay vs vinted in 2025 it looks like
@ewanlaing334 did you pass the verification stage? My son is stuck keeps rejecting the id he has money stuck and can not touch it until done.

Meaning no benefits in being a pro seller as your items get put at the bottom
