I actually don't mind it being drawn out. I enjoy having a constant series to look forward to every week. Almost feels like watching the show again.
PhoenixXZY 2 a week is perfectly drawn out. Over a year to finish by doing 1 a week is a bit of a drag, and waiting that long kind of ruins the pacing. Especially since they’re watching like 5 other shows in between each Breaking Bad episode

It's so strange to think about that if Skyler was the protagonist everything she does would be understandable, but because we are rooting for Walt and his arc she is, to us, the anoying, nagging wife.
The power POV has on a story is incredible. It's fun to imagine how classic stories would be if you were following a different character's point of view
I love how insightful and deep thinking Hannah is about this series. Even bringing up Skyler's childhood potentially being the reason why she's overbearing.
It's going to be really fun to listen to her analysis when the story gets more intense and complicated.

Skyler is like what Britta started out in Community, the "buzzkill" and "fun vampire". Once they had the other characters acknowledge that and calling Britta "the worst" she became more endearing.

It's interesting, but I'm more sympathetic towards Skyler after re-watching BB. Skyler's later actions were bad enough by themselves to dislike her (cheating, lying, etc.), but in hindsight were sooo much more benign than murder and drug manufacturing lol. IMO the feeling of a decade-and-a-half of resentment between her and Walt is relatable to lots of people, which predisposed viewers to disliking her, and made her later bad decisions seem even worse than they were. That, and the fact that Walt was set up as our hero at the start, and she his foil.

Am I the only Breaking Bad fan who actually likes Skyler; really much... She's my favorite character amongst the main cast, alongside a certain lawyer person you'll meet in the mid future

You're not alone. I love Skyler. I can totally understand people who don't like her from seasons 1-2 because she's meant to be an overly rational, conservative foil to Walt. But by the time (SPOILERS) Walt starts doing truly evil things and letting his pride consume him, I think it's crystal clear that Skyler becomes a far lesser evil compared to Walt. She's a hypocrite and her desperation makes her act irrationally, but she has much better business sense than Walt, and she actually acts in the interest of her family. At least she isn't a murderer and neo-Nazi enabler. She's the only person who can really go toe-to-toe with Walt, and that's what makes her both infuriating and amazing.

yeah the show is kinda set up in a way that it's natrual to dislike Skylar but if you really think about if this was real life, and you were in her shoes, many ppl that hate her would actually probably make the same choices she does

Skylar's actions seemed completely justified. Pot is Illegal, Walter is related to a DEA agent and It'd be hard for a father to raise a baby while in prison. That's not what being controlling looks like, that's just being rational. Course, it was a lie, and Walter was actually making meth, dealing with a corpse and a prisoner, but that makes it even harder for me to see her in a negative light here.

Hank didn't even seem shocked or outraged lol Skyler wasn't worried he was gonna get arrested, she was just obsessed with controlling every single one of Walt's moves.

I was always teamSkyler and always will be. Anna Gunn received so much hate for her character, and deserved the Emmy she received so much. Skyler is a strong character who does not accept that her family and children are put in danger in a future from which Walter will not be a part of anyway! Why should she have encouraged her husband to pursue criminal activities, especially when it would become increasingly dangerous for her children? Walt from the beginning was thinking that he was doing all of it by himself, without understanding that he was deciding on her fate as well without her agreement. If after watching the whole show, you are still hating on Skyler, there is really no redeeming qualities in you.

I think this episode and the next are the ones that really hooked me on this show. The pilot was really good, but once it was over I was like, "Oh, so Walt and Jesse are going to do crazy things each episode, but then things are going to be miraculously wrapped up at the end like every other show." Nope. In fact the next two episodes are dedicated to dealing with the consequences of the pilot. After that, I had to keep watching, and I'm so glad I did.
To be honest, Walter coulda told him whenever Jesse called him from the store. So he knows it's highly important to get the container.

I remember getting annoyed at skyler when watching this show first time around. Then when i was rewatching it awhile later, it's totally the opposite, thinking damn skyler got it rough. She had her flaws but man, i started getting pissed at walt much earlier, why u gotta do such and such etc.

well its different when ure following a specific character, getting everything, u tend to understand and empathize, no matter good or bad. the thing with skyler, is that we only get her reactions to walt and stuff. if the show followed skyler, and ud only get to see the sides of walt and jesse that she gets to see, maybe u wouldnt love those characters that much. is all about connection. and if the only side of her that we get is her nagging of walt, yeah, she can seem like a pain in the ass. its all about perspective, getting only what she gets, so u can understand her behavior better.

Skyler's definitely one of the more divisive characters in the show, and I feel like that might've been intentional when the show was being made. Or maybe more accurately, since the story is about Walt, we don't like it when he's "screwed over" or messed with. Skyler never really sat well with me either. Obviously can't talk about every reason for that, but for now, if she had just waited longer to try and get to the bottom of Walt's behavior, maybe I'd be more accepting of it. A lot of people hate Skyler, actually. Some even took their hate too far and harassed her actress, Anna Gunn, and that does suck.
What else... Oh, I honestly think how stupid Walt and Jessie are at this point is one of the show's strengths. They're constantly in over their heads, and problems tend to snowball into bigger problems. Drug dealers are dead? Nope, one's alive. Gotta kill him right? No, let's just keep him in the basement and empathize with him. Gotta dissolve a dead body?... I don't think I need to explain how that one snowballed. Plus, they've got that Odd Couple thing going on, so they're constantly getting on each other's nerves and are on edge anyway.

Skylar demoralizes her man like everyone else in Walters life..there’s Walt’s boss, hank, his students no one respects him and Walt has let everyone walk all over him and has given up..in a marriage both spouses should be supportive of each other and it seems like Skylar is the one breaking balls about everything from how he shouldn’t be paying for something at the Office Depot with the card to him actually speaking up..she doesn’t treat him like a man which you can see when on his birthday he got that sad handjob and literally ignores him while doing it

I was absolutely annoyed by Skylar the entire first and second season. After that it gets a bit better, but that may just be she wasn't in as much scenes. Now I come to think of it, I actually hated her the entire thing.
