Summer in Taiwan is very steamy, with temperature reaching 100F (38C) and high humidity. The best way to cool off is to go to the mountains! Xitou National Forest is a popular destination in Summer for people to stay cool and enjoy nature - bamboo forest and misty mountain air! This vlog documents our 2-day visit in Xitou staying at Xitou Howard Hotel and Resort. We took public transportation from Taipei - High speed rail to Taichung, then Bus to Xitou. Info below:

八月的台北真的好熱喔！到溪頭炎夏避暑去吧！平均溫度比台北低15度的溪頭，不用開車也可以到！坐高鐵到台中站、下樓坐“台灣好行”溪頭線，70分鐘就到溪頭了，一下車馬上就感覺涼快了不少！車站旁邊就是人造景點“妖怪村”，再走5分鐘就到溪頭教育園區入口，住宿在裡面不用再另外買票，溪頭福華在公園入口處就可以check in、寄行李，很方便。溪頭步道很多，主要景點有孟宗竹林、大學池、空中走廊、神木（倒了）。園區很大，走不動了可以花一點錢坐電瓶車 :)
