This is a rare documentary in Africa well done for raising awareness, but more importantly we need to raise funds for such issues in our society, lets make a plan.

Yes you're right...us Zimbabwean citizens have to try our best to help out here. I have a young bro who became mentally weak after moms passing. The challenge is that even if funds are available , there isn't much help in Zim for our folks . We need activity centres, rehabilitation centres , therapy centres that are AFFORDABLE or available and open to everyone without discrimination.

Kudos to all the mother's and families who are providing great support to those affected by mental health, its not easy....

Commenting on the dentist condition, it sounds like he had bipolar and mania . Rumbi probably suffered from post natal depression which was initially left untreated hence they psychotic episodes . Mental health still remains a challenge in the black community the sooner the people speak up the better and they can start getting medication

Thank you for raising awareness. Mental health is a serious issue that Zimbabweans dont talk about. Its usually high in men because when they are young boys they are taught to be strong. When they cry they are told be like a man dont be like a girl. Girls cry it helps them infuture to open up when life get tough . Woman hold anger. Man sadness leading to addiction without looking for help. Addiction does not help with anything. To all the men out there seek help men are 4x likely to die from suicide than woman.

What a detailed account of mental health. Goes to show MH can affect anyone and anybody regardless of occupation or lack of. I liked the idea of Friendship bench. Talk therapy is very important. There are a lot of us with suicidal ideations which is worst position anybody should be. there is more we should do to support Prof Chibanda. DaddyHope always an inspirational documentalist.
