The chairs make it feel so much more like a therapy session. I just watched Andrew Garfield and Vanessa Hudgeon's static chair/puppet rendition and this felt much more like an office setting than a puppeteer number. Lin Manuel and Leslie Odom had vocal, mood and timing perfected in a rehearsal setting, but the chairs were an amazing prop to translate tone and intention. It felt so much more like a real relationship and animosity/targeted backhanded sympathy during a monitored therapy session. More open than you'd usually be around other people but also very doctored responses to not look so bad in front of a therapist.
I just shared this video to all of my coworkers in my office and they all had a great laugh while watching this wonderful performance. So, thank you!!!
