There are shots that are impossible which should not be. Also, it is impossible to hit a shot 3.8 or 3.9 (envision the power bar with 4 levels). It goes straight from 3.7 into the red. This does not happen in the other golf games on Wii. Shooting a perfect score is more luck than skill. The luck part is avoiding impossible shots.
@@markvd1008 I don't play Resort. The power bar behaves differently on Target Golf (only) and you are not able to hit shots that are possible to hit on Wii Golf.

@@dls69er you should try it out though. The Wii motion plus makes the motion controls a lot more precise. Golf is definitely a bit harder since the ball can curve this time if you don’t hit it straight but you get 18 holes instead of 9 (you might have 21 holes actually, since there seems to be a secret option I haven’t unlocked yet).
I believe the controllers that came with the console a few years after the game initially came out in 2006 had the Wii motion plus built in. I bought my console in 2010. The game that got me hooked in 2010 was "hitting the green" and I am the only person in the world with a documented score of zero.

This game presents shots which ARE impossible and the controller reacts differently than it does with the other Wii golf games. Now that I have shot 1000 a few times I do not play this game anymore.
You can do better. If you can master 3.5 to 3.6 on the power meter and adjust all of your shots slightly based on conditions you can raise your record 300 points
If you look at the video at the very beginning you will see that my high score was already 1000. I did not have a video capture device when I shot it the first time.
