    You do this style of video so well. I liked seeing the rear sway bar doing it's thing as it's driving along, very cool.

      Thank you! 😊 Slo mo really lets you see how well (or not) the suspension is working and looks so cool. 😁
      Although, this video wasn't one of my best efforts to be sure. It was 32ºC, very humid and my knee was playing up making running difficult! I was pushed for time too, but as the 834b is currently a hot topic I wanted to get a follow up video published as quickly as possible.

    Awsome video - liked it a lot👍 My father raced the YZ-834B back in the days (1985-1987) with great success 🙂 Looking forward to a following up on this video 😀 Cheers from Denmark 🙂

    It looked great out there! It does seem to ride very low but it did not seem to affect it at all. Wonderful up close and slow motion shots David! I loved watching the rear end and the suspension working on it!

      Thanks! 😊 I love the capturing the suspension working over the rough ground. It really gives you an idea of how it's working to keep the car stable.

      I've got to say, before it arrived I wasn't too keen on the looks. But it is kinda growing on me. Certainly something a little different to the usual buggy design. The wide body gives is a very tough, almost tank like appearance.

    Loving all your videos David !! But especially enjoy these slow motion running videos that really show what they meant for and though I enjoy hearing the sound of the motor running the music choices are brilliant. 👍🏻

      Cheers! Running videos are so much fun to make, especially the slow motion stuff as it really shows the suspension doing its thing.

    Nice. You are backed for the the park run. Please film more for park ride of your RC.

    • @KaiCityRC
      @KaiCityRC  หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Thank you! I enjoy shooting at parks, but despite living in the countryside it can prove difficult. 😞 Most parks ban any form of RC. The ones that do allow RC are often crowded or they don't cut the grass regularly making running impossible. The park featured in this video is ideal, but there are usually large groups of old folks playing ground golf. Indeed, I had to wait about an hour for them to finish playing in order to shoot much of this video!
      And finally, chasing around after an RC in 35ºC + heat and high humidity can be pretty tiring! 😅 But as autumn seems to finally be making an appearance, I hope to get out to the park and film/run some more. 👍

      Thank you! 😊 Running videos are the ones I enjoy filming the most and the only videos of mine that I personally watch. Sadly, they rarely get a significant number of views...well not compared to any kind of "review" video.
      But that's OK. I'm not in this for the views, subs or anything. Just doing it because I love RC and enjoy film making. And if someone finds them useful or they bring a smile to their face, then that's a bonus. 😊

    Hi appreciate what you are doing on this channel, currently I want to have either 834B or 870C and kinda indecisive.
    Can you suggest which one to pick?
    Mostly will bash on beach, sand / gravel and might enter vintage club race once in a while the race regulation stated that all machine should run tamiya sports tuned, torque tuned or stock silver can.

    • @KaiCityRC
      @KaiCityRC  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thank you for watching and commenting. 😊
      The 870c is by far the better buy in terms of value for money, performance and ease of maintenance. It's the newer machine and in a race should do much better than the 834b. The belt drivetrain is very efficient and will make good use of the limited power from slower/weaker motors.
      The only real negative I can see, would be the completely exposed belts and diffs. There is the potential for sand and gravel to cause problems for the belts/pulleys, despite the 870c having an under tray. In that regard, I feel the sealed rear gear box / chain drive of the 834b would likely be more resilient to running in those types of environments.
      Hope that helps!

    • @hobbyclubofficial
      @hobbyclubofficial หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi thank you for your answer, I supposed for my needs it will be wiser (in terms of maintenance) if i take 834B.
      How’s the 834B driving impression? I would like to know your thoughts

    • @KaiCityRC
      @KaiCityRC  หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@hobbyclubofficial Considering its design dates back to 1983 and was one of the first 4WD buggies available, I was pleasantly surprised how well it did outdoors. The suspension in particular handles rougher ground much better than you would thing it would. Sure, it isn't up to modern day standards, but it is far, far superior to buggies like the Frog, Sand Scorcher and Grasshopper. It's been a some years since I ran my Hotshot, but if memory serves its performance is on a par with the 834B.
      You mentioned entering a vintage class race. How well the 834B would do in such a race will depend largely on two factors - dirt or carpet. And what year is the cutoff. The 834B would struggle to keep up with machines post 1985, especially on high grip carpet.

    Seems like the less shocks are visible the better the car looks. Especially true for front shocks. Of course performance suffers. Trade offs.

    • @KaiCityRC
      @KaiCityRC  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Absolutely! I like the clean look this buggy has, and despite the two mono shocks it does pretty well on the rough stuff and not too bad on carpet either. 😁

      @KaiCityRC  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thank you! At the moment there are no other wheel options (or spares) on the market. I would have preferred black wheels and was tempted to try and dye the kit ones. But I decided to play it safe and keep them the stock color. It turned out better than I thought it would. 😁

    • @KaiCityRC
      @KaiCityRC  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      They are undeniably expensive, especially considering they are mostly plastic. The 870c (or the YZ-10) is the better buy in terms of value for money.
