Thank you so much for watching, most of my videos are time sensitive , that means I try to go places when there is a better chance of having the best views and experience. For example if you watch video of a seasonal waterfall and you decide to visit but when you get there it’s completely dry that’s a bummer. Same thing if I show wildflowers blooming, you visit and they are long gone! Or a place with snow, you go and it’s all melted!
Right after I go hiking I post my videos as soon as possible.
That’s why it’s very important that you subscribe and a active the notification bell so you won’t miss a thing!!

My pleasure!! Thank you for watching 🙏
Wow! That’s such a beautiful hike
I would love to go there and enjoy the beautiful waterfalls
Go for it!! Now is the time, start early
This was an awesome video. I live in Oxnard,Ca roughly about 30 minute minutes to Santa Paula. I’ve hiked punch bowls numerous times and never saw the water that deep especially during the summer. I’ve only made it to the first waterfall, but always heard about the other 2 waterfalls going up the trail. Now after seeing your video I will go in the coming weeks and make it my mission to see the other 2. Beautiful video by the way.
Thank you, keep an eye on the road closures. Start hiking very early so when you make it to the second waterfall-rock pool the sun is hitting the water about noon. Let me know how it goes 🥾🥾
I’ve never been!
@@alwaysyouramanda it’s an amazing place!!
THANK YOU for telling me the difficulty of the hike! i have small ones and can't go here. Thank you for telling me in advance
Nicely curated thank you!
Great video! Such a beautiful hiking spot!
Thank you 🙏
Pretty amazing! I sent it to my husband & hope he likes this hIke. I’m sure he will! Beautiful under water scenes. Your narrative & voice were nice! Thank you!
Thank you 🙏
I do the same thing 😂 it’s because of Ignacio’s video on the SGR rock pools I was able to convince my husband to go and explore ❤
@@elissetteg58 Thank you 🙏
*_Hello Lopez.... Santa Paula Canyon is very beautiful, I like it, and the water is very clear, thank you for exploring it,... nice to meet you, I am Rudy from Indonesia....._*
Thanks 🙏

Parts are and other parts are terrible.
Love the Punch Bowls 🙌😀😀 great adventure, what a joy
Beautiful waterfalls
Nice! I need to get out there one of these days. Hopeful the drive isn't too bad from the construction.
Yeah, it was worth the long drive!!
The road is blocked because of a very large landslide between Ojai and Santa Paula. But they’re working on it and soon you’ll be able to get their from either direction. But find out first, because you’ll end up spending a lot of time if you have to turn around and go back. In my younger years I’ve hiked the trails behind Ojai, Santa Paula, Fillmore, Piru… but never the punch bowls. But my grandkids love it. So… teenage approved 😁
@@dagnytaggart5216 Thanks for the info!
Thank you for info
Wow, it's been at least 22 years since I've hiked that trail. So few people knew about it back then. I heard it was covered in graffiti for many years, so happy to see it's been cleaned up. Thanks for the video!
My pleasure, thank you for watching 🙏
I should go back and do that hike, I found it after getting lost
The very first time I went I couldn’t even find the first one. Great adventures my friend, go for it!!🥾🥾
i imagine people have been cooling off here in the summer for thousands of years
Yep!
Wow, I haven't been there in years! When did the water become blue? I remember only green water with runoff from the orchards. It smelt bad and you didn't want to swim in it.
I’ve been here many times and never seen it the way you mentioned, are you sure you got the right place? By the way thank you for watching 🙏
@@lopezexplora It's been probably 15 -20 years+ since. But I had been multiple times and it was always kinda gross. Not as gross as Newbury park though.
Didn’t know that, thanks for the info!
@@Holtenstein Are you sure you’re not just remembering that pool of water right there on Hwy 150? (Sulphur Springs?) This area was quite a hike up the mountain.
@@dagnytaggart5216 No, that's no where near the punch bowls.
This is beautiful! What is the name of the road where the parking lot is?
Thank you for watching, all my videos have lots of information on the description including how to get to places.

Ojai Rd (Hwy 150) I used to live by that dirt parking lot. I miss it.
Sulphur mountain rd, just keep going, you can't miss it..
Your videos are very therapeutic, I relaxed throughout the entire video, your narration is amazing, the shots underneath the water and around the water. Thankyou! 🙏 I subscribed for more!....😃
Thank you so much for watching and your kindness, I’m so glad you liked my videos.
😂😂😂 crybaby with such a woke "edit" 🤡🤡🤡 are you 5 years old?
Thank you
I been here 2 times but only made it to the waterfall i need to go back and find that other spot with the slide
After the first waterfall it’s about one more mile, very difficult but definitely so worth it!!

there is a devils punchbowl up here in washington. But I wouldn't say its any better than this place as its more like a small cove attached to the canal.
Yeah there are many places with same names all over. Bear creek been the most common
How was the temperature of the water? Is the water cold like Stoddard falls?
Not as cold as Stoddard, it’s just perfect for a splash on a hot day. Thank you for watching 🙏
Long hike for sure
So beautiful ❤
Hi thanks for the video. Do you know if this trail is available on All Trails? If so can you please share the name ?
In about 3 miles in stick to the creek if you follow all trails it will take you uphill to Big Cone camp, once you get to the first waterfall from there go back to the trail and hike up hill after you get to Cross Camp stay on trail for a 10th of a mile and follow the creek to get to the punch bowl. Don’t go uphill on the left unless you want to go to Jackson and Jackson Falls which is additional 1.2 miles or so. Have fun, be safe!!

@@lopezexplora Thank you!
@lopezexplora Hi, I just tried going there and it was just a dead end. I also had passed the right turn off of the 150 which then took me through a narrow dirt road. Thankfully I decided to stop in time reverse and come back. I was trying to check out the drive before actually going with my friend on Sunday. I would really love to go and appreciate your help. By they I love your videos and your voice is so relaxing.
Thank you so much for your kindness and for watching my stuff 🙏
Hope you make it, worth the efforts!!
Very nice bro. Do you ever see anybody with metal detectors up there?? ✌️💙🏇🏇🏇
I didn’t, maybe because it’s very deep!!
What are the names of the background tracks? Very pleasant, calm, and relaxing along with the footage.
Honestly I don’t remember them but you can try one month free here

Hey bro question at minute 8:17 can you swimm in that spot?? looks so koo there
Yes you can swim!! It’s about 8 feet deep and so amazing!! Thank you for watching my videos!!
Thank you
You go to the coolest places you should charge and set up a hike as a tour guide
Thank you 🙏
How long is the hike from the parking lot?
5 miles
@@lopezexplora cool thank u!
ive been going there since the mid 80s........@14:24 is where you jump from, into the bottom bowl
Yep!!
When does the water level begin to drop? Will it still be 12’ in September?
Water level would be about the same on the rock pool but not much running water so it will be murky with lots of tadpoles. Thank you for watching 🙏
A reviewer said there were leeches in the water. Did you come across that?
None!
It’s nature so it’s possible you’ll encounter snakes, spiders and wild life. Sometimes people say it to gate keep it and scare people away
I lived by there for 10 yrs and never saw a leech.
Yes
Fairly fast moving water. Leeches are not likely.
I am surprised that there are no fish. I wonder why 🤔 🤔 🐠
Is there water even late into summer?
Yes!! There is, I saw some recent posts and there is still lots of water!!
@@lopezexplora Great, thank you.
Are there fish in the water?
I did not see any fish.
It looks like rattlesnakes can be out there too.
I saw a rattlesnake too 🐍
Nobody wanted to slide that day huh?
Hi buddy!
I know we are not infamous like you, thank you so much for your amazing adventures and inspiring videos!! You rock!!
i was thinking the same thing. looks like fun!
It's not so hidden if it's on TH-cam bratha 😂
Hidden, not secret. Many people can’t find it even with videos like mine.
wait did they let you thru ?
No they didn’t, it was the very first thing I explained on my video. I had to go around through Ojai
Thank you for watching btw 🙏
@@lopezexplora it looks like they did
@DecemberRush I know, they let me through to make a U turn since I had cars behind me and they were only allowing local residents through.
Is there a shorter way to get there.
Your funny!!
Nope there isn’t.
Sorry that’s how the world of hiking works. Thank you for watching

Apologies, it is a very difficult and long hike and is best to start early, bring lots of water and unfortunately there is no a shorter way to get there. It’s so worth it though. Thanks 🙏

See deer out there??
I have not, my friend has seen bears. There is always a chance of finding wildlife, thank you for watching
I'm sorry to see this repeated over-exposure of this trail. It is overhiked, overcrowded, overused and quite abused. People now come from all over the state to the punch bowls because of these videos turning the trail into content for personal utube income. The last time I, a local, went, I took a baby diaper out of the creek, and seemed to do nothing but gather trash. Local citizens have repeatedly gone up to sandblast off the graffitti, but it just reappears. Please Don't Come.
It’s a national forest so is for everyone! It’s not private.
You should see the San Gabriel River in Azusa canyon!
It is so disgusting with trash and dirty diapers everywhere .Not to mention graffiti on the rocks and trees.
Bunch of dirty pigs visit these places.
@@lopezexplora your comment is irrelevant to my point.
😕same thing happen to my beutiful city park,,after videos like this,,now we have to pay to go in and enjoy the park,,,they need it money to get the city workers to pick up trash and have someone here to keep people out riding homemade motor bikes and trucks around inside the park..
Not your choice. People may come tell you that.
Take this video off , tired of you guys invading our town
It’s a National Forest, so it’s for everyone!!
Amazing place full of trash!!
