    • @WhatsthePOINT_EDC
      @WhatsthePOINT_EDC ปีที่แล้ว

      @@scapegoat1313 unfortunately it’s not a possibility for me. I don’t have the funds or the property to have a live fire for a forge. Sadly I can’t make the noise that comes along with banging on a anvil. There’s more to making a knife than just cutting metal in the shape you desire and grinding said piece of metal on the concrete or asphalt to sharpen it. If I was gifted a forge I would still need temp gauges, power tools, good quality sharpening stones, anvil, hammers, heat resistant tongs to grab the hot metal, good leather gloves, and other protective measures. With all that said I hope you do realize it’s not as simple as you might have thought it was to hand craft a knife. It’s a dream of mine to forge my own knife but I am a realist who knows what it takes to do things realistically before I decide to jump head first in the “fire” but that’s for the simplistic answer that’s slightly childish in thought. Maybe with this you can understand things are not as simple as you think. Have a nice day and if you want to help me acquire those skill you act like are so easy I’ll take a forge and a place to spend hours and hours of my time learning the skill. Oh and btw will you help me with theses simple skills? Hun?

    So this is one of the weird things for me when it comes for defining what blades are. Because this is a knife with a pommel, it's fine and it's still a knife. Under medieval law though in countries like Germany they had a definition that a sword had to also have a full Tang and pommel, which is why the grossmesser became so popular, because it has a riveted handle and no pommel, which legally meant it wasn't a sword but a giant knife. And because peasants couldn't carry swords they often carried around The Messer instead. Just a fun tidbit.

    I must collect some money to get myself presents from your work, I need to appreciate this art, every single day. 😩
    Note; You should be naming your artworks. This knife I call it Mr. K.
    He is so real to be called a mere knife. 😚
