Agree I’m on my 6 th one it is for sure a ton of work but I got a good set up so and great music equipment making it a bit fun since I can also do bit of a dj ing or produce music tracks for the show at the same time 🙃👍thank you
Ashley, Thank you so much for taking time out of your super busy schedule to reply to my questions. My concern is that I have never done anything of this nature. I was hoping I would get the chance to view the initial training. I am looking for a type of "Live Shows for Dummies" type of approach. I am looking to learn from the bottom, I do have my phone and a laptop to work with but not sure how the 2 work together etc. Thus far your vids has been the most straightforward and informative and I appreciate them. Can you help this neophyte move into the 21st century or direct me to where I might find what I seek??? Thanks Again for your time, Leslie 😊🌸🌺🌼
It is getting irritating, bc I've seen so many shoppers want something for nothing. Like they're expecting that we're getting our inventory for free, and we're not having to pay for supplies or using our time. That is kinda irritating. It's not that I'm out to make a killing either. I'm good at even making three bucks off something, but I'm not good at making a nickel off of something. It's not worth my time. I'm not sure why some have trouble understanding that. I can send out a $10 offer with discounted shipping that I paid $5 for (payed up for due to brand) and NWT that retails for $80 and they still don't want to accept the offer. I will then at that point just copy and relist bc below $10 with discounted shipping at that point, I wouldn't be making zilch. I'd be basically paying them to buy it, not happening, lol. As far as the demeanor I give off, you'd never even know it bothered me, but we have to vent somewhere to others that may can relate.
Ya i agree, people think your a yardsale and jew you down! I think there's also other of resellers out there, trying to make profit. I stay stern with the price i want to get out of it but then you don't get as many sales, people are awful and its rude to talk you into dropping the price
I know this is a older video. I just want to say I love shopping Posh live shows. But if they have loud music I will not stay at the show. It’s so annoying to hear the sellers talking and music blaring at the same time.
I have done 3 live shows so far. People come in for a second and then move on. I play some fun music in the background and talk about each item in the carousel. Each of my shows lasted over an hour. One lasted about two hours and yet I didn’t get but a handful of viewers and absolutely no sales not even bids so at this point it’s really not worth it for me to just sit there, talking to myself basically.
People no longer need to buy from your closet when all they have to do is go to a live sale and purchase Prada, Salvatore Ferragamo and Versace being sold for 60 bucks. This really kills the sellers platforms. I don’t care what anyone says a lot of people on here are just getting rid of stuff and they don’t care to profit very much off of it. A lot of other sellers have contacts to do liquidation that’s why they have tags on their items because even thrifted merchandise in this economy today it’s like $4 dollars and over so where is the profit??Lets not forget the elephant in the room.. The PM 20% lingering over your head.. Seems like Free stuff being given away. I think this ruined it for many sellers, because we were making very good sales prior to this being available.
I’ve watched 100s of live shows and purchased several items. I’m happy with very few of them. People who have a follow Iike you can do well and sell out your inventory. The majority do not do well. Either they sell items so cheap they don’t make a profit or they don’t sell anything.
I've seen this as well. You've gotta be professional and plan to start things at a certain price to make it worth your time. It's taken time to build up to what we have now.
The biggest problem I see in the live shows is they have people in the comments lying for them. The people are like, "Just found it on Google for $14,000.00!" -- it actually goes for only $5. Those same people can be observed bidding, but they're only bidding to pad the seller's profit. If they "win," there's a deal where the order is canceled and the item is sold again later. Their job is to lie about the price and pad the bids. I can't stand it.
I’ve just been a lurker on the Posh shows and jump from show to show to learn stuff (like what sells, at what price, brands, etc). I did my first show last Sunday. I did just ok
I hated the lives bevause I felt that it took away from our closets but then I became a regular on a certain show and now I've had my best month since joining Poshmark years ago! I'm excited to get my ability to do a posh live! 🥰🤗🥰
I have watched the whole video yet but wanted to come here to comment about your reactions to Silent Auctions. It’s still a live auction and even though you can’t see or hear (sometimes the Sellers have talked) it’s still an auction. I’ve been to IRL fundraiser dinners where there have been about 20-30 silent auctions going for donated gift baskets, gift cards, trips, etc. I didn’t need to have any interaction with the person who donated the item. There was a description and the item was often on the table. That’s one way to look at it. Another is, they give a Seller an opportunity to sell during times that they may not be able to be “loud” in the house, such as when a family member is sleeping during the day or night. This gives a Seller (like me) more opportunities to make money. My husband goes to bed super early bevy he has to get up super early & I’m a night owl. The Buyer has an advantage too because they can shop these silent sales from almost anywhere because they don’t need sound BUT they get to to take advantage of the DEALS of the video live shows, and also the advantage of possibly shopping some first look inventory. When I run my live shows I am constantly say Hello to people (I have text replacement shortcuts for common sayings) and telling them about bundles, and letting them know they can make a request, etc. I engage and take requests much like a video show. I’m not lazy and just let the show run all black. I’ve watched other shows and see others do this too. My best sales show was a silent show. A whopping 5 sales that I’m very grateful for ;) My first live only had 11 listings and I sold 3. I hope this “sheds” some different perspective on the silent shows. Thoughts?
The other advantage I forgot to add is that a Seller is available in real time to answer any questions about their items. A Buyer doesn’t have to send them a question and wait hours to days for a response. For instance, when I’m a Buyer and want measurements (because so many Sellers don’t put them in their listings 😠) I send a request and usually have to wait somewhere between hours to daaaayyyys to get a response. Some won’t even respond. A tactic by some Sellers is to say “Yea, I’ll get those measurements when I get home from work.” and then never do it because they don’t want to; they’re hoping to Buyer will forget and move on. I read Sellers talkings about this on different forums. Great Sellers wouldn’t do this. Moving on…. I repeatedly mention in my silent shows how I’m available for any questions they might have about an item.
I don’t think I had a negative reaction to the silent auctions I just think Poshmark needs to make a public statement about it. I actually stated in the video how there’s value with essentially becoming “subtitles”, meaning for those who want to buy but can’t hear the live they can chat with the buyer before purchase. I think if Poshmark wants to allow silent auctions that they should create features where instead of the screen being black, the person can pop up the picture of the item on the screen or switch through the photos they have in the listing. I’ve also had customers say they hate silent auctions, that they are there for the entertainment and connection so it would be nice for Poshmark to have separate tabs for the live sales versus silent style so it’s easier for the buyer to know.
Thanks! This video was amazing!!! I’ve had a closet for awhile and resharing the same stuff over and over bc … time!!! I have over 1500 things to list- no joke. I have 2 daughters and we all love clothes and shoes lol- 2 years of closet clean outs ready to list but the listing prep is so time consuming. I am just now becoming aware of the live show benefits!!! This video helped so much!!!!!! I’m nervous but my husband is over seeing alllll the clothes and racks and bins lol… I gotta get it going!!!!
I had no ideal we had to create a bundle for them if they purchase more items. Also what if they purchase over 5 lbs? Do you send them a box purchase for $3.00? My show is this morning.
I am a seller (sometimes buyer too). Just returned to PM and found these live shows. I think it's awesome! It makes the platform more social and personable. So I decided to step up my selling game and give it a go. I tried one and totally bombed. My cat came knocking crap over, lighting sucked and nobody came into my room (kinda grateful for thus though). Did I mention I have been camera shy all my life soooo ya. I'm not giving up though. This is pretty much what I have going for me since cancer, among other things, has put a damper on my ability to attain and then retain employment. I'm excited for the time it becomes 2nd nature to do lives. Got one scheduled tomorrow at 3pm. Good or bad I'll keep going. Great video BTW.. it answered a ton of head scratches for me.
Ashley, thank you so much for making a most helpful video for new sellers. I'm ready to schedule my first live show after watching this. It was worth my time to watch your entire video. I appreciate all your tips. Please help us how to promote and get more exposure before the show. What are the best way to get more people click on your covershot and writing best title, description and tags? Thanks again. 🥰
Wow! I should have just stopped here first when learning how to do live shows. I believe you’ve thought of EVERYTHING to help us prepare for showing for the first time. I appreciate you very much! It is so great your husband helps and is a part of this business with you 💕💕. I’m sure that makes for a smoother process. Thank you again for doing this!
YAY!! I definitely need to do an updated one since lives have changed and it would be awesome to show the updates to our room. Let me know if you have any other questions.
Bit of an odd question, I'm curious, if you're doing a longer show, how do bathroom breaks work? Can you pause the show? Or do you just let everyone know that you'll be taking a short break and just leave the show running? Asking as someone who will likely be doing shows alone :) Thank you for making this video! It's been super helpful!!
You really have to have someone either step in for you here - otherwise you won't be able to take a 5-10 minute long bathroom break on your own very well without the possibility of losing some folks off the live unless you just have that good of a following or that many viewers. I don't make my lives more than 3-4 hours long. I don't take breaks, just keep a drink handy. Something you have to consider when deciding how to set up your show. 👍🏻 Hope that helps.
I somehow didn’t get this notification on this question. I’m sorry. You either do your best not to need a break- bring snacks and water in arms reach. If you need to use the restroom I would have some sort of sign to put up that says be right back. Your audience you can let them know you’ll be back but if people pop in while you’re gone it’s good to let them know that you’ll be right back. I try my best not to leave when I start however if you build an audience that cares about you, they’ll start saying “hey! Make sure you hydrate! Grab that snack!” So you can essentially create buy in with your audience caring about you taking care of yourself.
Great video! Great info! I do not like live shows as a shopper at all… too much time to see something I might want. As a seller I super Hate them. My sales are down over 10k since they have started. Super low ball offers everyday! I’m not selling my items for $3, $5, $10.
I can see that from both points. I’m not a fan of people doing $3 starts because it doesn’t make sense to only make a few cents profit on something. Typically with shows that I load everything including pictures to help the buyer see if they want something or not. Periodically I’ll do a pallet pull style but that’s not often
I know. I’m the same. I love that I know the customer and their families sizes, I love that we have inside jokes, I love that we can all laugh together. It’s just a great time. Not something you could ever expect on a static listing.
Your video was very informative about all the pros and cons of doing live shows. I have wanted to do a live show just to sell more, but am reluctant b-cuz I am not so tech savvy and by myself. Also, some of the stuff people sell, all NWT for $5, $8, $10…..I’m like where do they get this stuff? I can’t compete with that even if I discount some of my stuff down. I love that you could describe the feel and texture of the item in the live shows, but again, doing this on my own….I’m just not savvy enough for that. I thought to do silent auction, to at least get more exposure for my closet (even though I share a lot) but my schedule has not allowed for it right now. So I’m on the fence. I think the live shows have killed regular business (my sales have plummeted) for a lot of sellers. The silent auctions are just kind of boring….
Hello Ashley 👋... Thank you so much for making this You Tube. I have watched about 25 shows, and have only thought 2 or 3 were even worth my time to watch. It does seem like being prepared, friendly, & repeating game rules throughout the show does make for a better outcome. I've been toying with the idea of doing a show. And the tips you've provided are on my list. Thank you again. 😊 💓 👍
Hi Ashley, I've watched several of you videos but I may have missed a couple of things! I did my first show last week and because I had it on the phone and my Chromebook, customers said they couldn't see me or hear me. I X'd off the Chromebook and my show ended :( So, today is my 2nd show and I'm worried that I will be fumbling if I just use my cellphone. Do you know how to use 2 devices so I can start the auction on the Chromebook and add listings for the 12 blanks I created and be "live" in front of the cellphone?
Did you start the live on your Chromebook? Or start is on your phone? I start my lives on my phone and then once its up, I go to the page on my computer. I believe there is a button on the middle of the page that says "transfer to this device" so just make sure not to click that.
For me personally, I'm not interested in selling or shopping on lives. However, I did get a comment on my listings, from someone wanted to sell my items on her live? I was very confused by this. I don't think Posh does a good job of letting other people know this is even an option or how me, as someone who has not been approved, has no idea what's going on, could even participate? Out of curiosity, I did reply back and watched that show to see how it all went, but I was very confused. Does the posh live host make any money? Does the commission get split? It's so odd.
Yeah I've asked that same question before, because it is a very confusing feature. The seller gets no commission on the push, and in a way you have no control of what its going to start for either, so in my opinion it is a very worrisome feature. Then again I haven't looked into it entirely yet, so it might be more successful then I understand at the moment.
When someone wants to run your items live you actually set the starting bid and receive all the sales just like your regular items listed. You have to give permission to start the auction and price.
I still don't understand how this works or how I would get paid. Is it just like they purchased from my closet? Would I then be able to bundle the same way Ashley described in this video? I like the concept, especially if the person actually doing the live has a great sales personality, plus I would think it would get more people in the live because of variety if nothing else. It would also help those who are timid about doing lives and being in front of and talking on camera.
I’m late to this video you popped up on my recommended but your comment about the link being removed- I was sent a link to apply for live shows in like August from Poshmark right after I became Posh Ambassador however I was never notified and it went to my spam- once I learned end of November that it was application based and that’s why I couldn’t do it I went looking for the link and found it- it still let me apply and said I’d hear from them when selected. I heard nothing and watched for it weekly because I had heard you had to go through on-boarding. Fast forward to Today (Feb. 25/2023) and I was randomly sharing my closet and my app just randomly glitched and went to another tab and said “schedule your posh show” and I can now host shows…… I mean I’m thrilled because FINALLY but also……. What?! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Thank you Ashley for all this important info on shows. I've done lots of silent shows, with mic on so I can talk with audience. My challenge is building an audience. In the future, I plan on doing share shows, if I have a decent number in audience.
Today was the first day I heard about you through a show on TH-cam I was watching with you and Becky Park. I have now liked and subscribed I am looking to do online live shows. Trying to convert all the way to a stay-at-home mom
When do we become eligible to sell through the live show feature? I am new to Poshmark and have not made any sales yet. When I tried to register for the live show it said I was not eligible. I understand about the waiting list but that did not come up.
Another thing I'm having trouble with as soon as I go live, I greet. Once I greet, no one responds. So how do I get them to start talking? I normally ask what size they looking for. And they leave. It's so annoying!!!!!!
This is useful info. We're 9 sales & a couple thousand self-shares from ambassador status before we can go live. Been taking notes of what we like & what we don't as customers. A lot of these share shows in particular seem to lack many actual bidders. Sad.
Couple questions … can you do a live show without listings attached? Like a preview? And at what point does a seller get access to the “posh show” option?
Thanks for such an informative video! I have popped into several live shows and have been pretty disappointed with the overall vibe of confusion going on. Kids yelling in the background, dogs barking, poor lighting, watching the seller sit on the floor scrolling through her phone, or viewing an empty room. Not had great buyer experiences at all, which is what has probably made me hesitant to do them myself. It honestly feels like a dumpster fire most times! 😮 🔥
@Ashley Wheeler Thank you for your service!! 🙏 Actually, I think I saw your Posh-N-Coffee on the list for today, and the timing wasn't good for me to attend. But I'm so glad that you experienced Poshers are willing to do these!
I love this! I HATE live shows, especially silent shows. Why?? Because I'm grouchy, who knows?? But for real, I just hate seeing all the live shows in my news feed. I hate being interrupted, and I'm on PM as a full time seller, not a buyer, so I just don't like all the shows popping up when I'm working. But I don't want to be a dinosaur, so I suppose I'll have to adapt and learn soon. But I'll still be grouchy...just kidding. Thanks for the info ❤️
Hi I have hesitated doing lives sales.. and I swear you bought every aspect of what I was thinking about and why and so forth.... its kinda scary.. but i loved your video..I think this will definitely help.. I just subscribed😊
Thanks for your awesome video, very in depth and informative! Also, I can't believe people grunt and get upset live because an item sold for less than they wanted wow rude!!
Is a seller allowed to auction "raffle tickets" for an item during their live show and use the highest winning bidders as contestants only to be entered to maybe win the particular item in the listing? The seller did this a total of 12 times using multiples of the same listing. So 11 people ended up being charged for an item they will never receive. The one winner was then chosen by the seller and that person got to receive the item and everyone else lost out. Is this even allowed in any way??? Any information would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you so much for the tips! I've been so nervous about doing this, but I do have in-person marketing experience as well as online ESL tutoring experience where I had to be super animated so I'm hoping all of this helps. Lol
Thank you for creating this video. I think it was extremely helpful. I am scheduled to do a live show for the first time later this week I only sell beautiful, handcrafted jewelry and so I want to start small to see how it works. I have a full-time job where I am on video camera all day, so I’m comfortable with that aspect, but nervous about the mechanics of listing and actually showing all of the items for sale.
Very informative video. Looking to learn some of the technical information as well… not too savvy with the technology area. Do you need a phone and iPad together to do a show?
I don't love the idea of live sales, I'm what I would call and ambivert. I can be social in social situations when needed but I am for the most part a quiet introspective person. Live sales are a means to an end. I was recently approved to do them but need some time to prepare (buy a tripod and lights etc)
OOOPs, I also don't know how to send the show link to my followers. I learned how to copy the link for the show and send emails or texts but I can't seem to find where I can send the show link to my followers. Does it just get sent to them by Poshmark? Thank you for any information you can share! I really appreciate it. You are an inspiration to me engaging in this platform. I have been watching Poshers for months now! Hopefully today will go well. :) Thank you again.
Nice video, I like posh lives, last week I bought 3 blouses (bundle) for $6 ea, posh fee is $2,95 ea or 20% of $18 ? I am a stay home mom and I was thinking to sell online and yor videos are helping me to decide, thanks for sharing your experiences, have a nice day:))
Hi I’m sinta posh closet Sintaspector . I have many questions . As a seller it could be a successful as a buyer it’s hard to purchase because there are so many shows going on all at once . If one is not in theory not a TH-cam face like myself could the live shows become a way for people to identify you ? Also I tried a show with a new friend who is in Florida and I’m in maryland and this was the first show for me with no sales at all . My hubby does not do posh with me he got a full time position so I’m on my own with all this posh work . Anyway yes thank you the video helps a bit and oh my inventory I don’t purchase all the time due to a small apartment space and no storage . So I sort of have to work with what Iv set up for now . I got a ton of questions ..
Thank you for your comment. When I initially started live sales I didn't have anyone to help me. I did it all by myself. So it's definitely possible. You just need to make sure you know your limit and how many shows you can do a week. I started with 1 a week, then went to two & beyond. Also my sales aren't successful because I have a youtube following or Instagram following. Sure some people come in and say "I LOVE YOUR TH-cam!" but most people do not know I'm even on social media until I say something. So I truly believe you can do it with out the following, you just need to build it.
Thanks for this show, now going to binge your other live videos. I'd like to start doing lives as a seller, but not sure if it still makes sense as I'm a solo income FT seller, and really need it to be worth the time as a seller.
How are people being notified if they get picked to do lives? I applied back when they very first sent out the option for it to sign up back when they were only asking people who had gone to posh fest, yet I got nothing from them,I then reapplied through the newer app because I couldn't figure out if I missed something, an email or if I got passed over. Did people get notified on the app itself or through email?
Hello Ashley and thank you for your hard work and video with tips. I am a long-time vintage clothing/jewelry dealer of 35 years plus and since this new live feature I have sold very little from my closet of over 300 items..... now I have been seriously ill and in the hospital so not super attentive and doing any listings but I feel that perhaps the live feature is what customers are enjoying now rather than just shopping in a closet. Luckily for me I have done many antique shows and have had a major following at them and even had photos in Vogue magazine online! I love selling at a show and I love my customers and even the annoying ones can be fun if you have a positive attitude and learn to have compassion for others.... So since recovering I am considering doing the live Posh show but am still putting it all together in my mind and studying the feature so that I do it right. Also I only have an Android phone and have to find out if I can use that to list live and I have limited space (my inventory is everywhere I look!) and probably the wrong lighting.... I may just pop in and do a small show to get my feet wet first. You are such a sweet lady and I wish you all the best in your business and life! Thank you again!
I want to do a show so badly....nervous about the tech....listing, not knowing what to do online with the tech part! I'm happy to talk to people, love selling, can't wait....but...yikes! What if I can't figure out how to list the sale and runs
Hey Ashley! I’ve reached posh ambassador ll status but can’t seem to go live. Have you gotten any information on if there is some sort of waitlist? Love the video!
I was just wondering what your thoughts are on the 3.00 starts? How are these people making money? I see people running 50 items or 100 items at 3.00 and 5,00 Thoughts?
I think it is crazy that Poshmark charges so much for under $15 sales. I also think it should be part of their AI to do the bundling for you. That seems like a lot of EXTRA work to bundle. It is great that it's possible, but there are better ways, such as the way WN does it.😊
Hi, so I had a live show 12/19/2022 and my bags where already at 5lbs each. I had poshers buy several bags. When I went to print the labels posh had automatically combined their orders. I had one Posher buy 9 different bags each weighing 5lbs each!. I wasn't going to pay the fee for the heavier label! I would be losing money at that point. I'm not sure why posh automatically combined my orders when they already weighed 5lbs each. I did not ask them too.. so frustrating! I was able to get some the my buyers to rebuy their bundle separately but, still waiting to hear on the buyers. Posh really needs to fix the shipping issue.. I know it still in betta testing but, dang the work after the shows is unreal. Having to feel like you are hounding on your poshers to repurchase their items is very draining.
Can someone help me get my closet reinstated I have reached out and am really hoping someone would offer to help me I want to shop and continue poshing but it seems as if my closet is blank
Oh man, yeah I talk about that in my other videos about live sales. If you are not comfortable with an item selling at what you''re starting the bid at, don't start it at that price. Especially in the beginning.
I think buyers in there are rude. They ask to see a specific size, when you turned to get a garment on that size that you turn back around, they are gone. Like why they do that if they really don't want to buy nothing?
Great video! I would love to have a live show some day! Not sure I’m ready though! Im one of those people that is always hiding from the videos and cameras! Plus I don’t feel I have a lot of all the top name brands that are popular now! Although I would like to purge & start fresh…maybe someday soon! Thank you for all the good advice though😊
My friend sales name brand purses that she buys for .25 cents at the bins and sales it for $25 then gives away 4 clothing items for free, that she also picks up from bins. My closet is dead, no sales or very low ball offers where I live with do t have bins stores. I would have to travel 2.5 hours out. No feasible,
My closest Goodwill outlet is 3 hours away. Normally my husband and I do "thrifting road trips" where we stay the night and shop for 2 days. It's not for everyone but that was the only option I had.
Curious what your opinion is : Do you think it’s better to have a curated “theme” for your show? VS random items / sizes ? 🤔 Like a show that is all Plus size OR all shoes OR all dresses, OR all mens , OR all bags OR all jeans etc ?
Did you recently get an email saying you were able to go live? Ive had access for several months and I just got one the other day so I think they sent a new wave of people access.
Hi Ashley! I’m new here, and been a posh seller for a bit now. Never done a live and I’m ok with doing one. Is there a class on how to do it ? I know I have to keep sharing I’m still working on that. Can you guide me in this pls?
I absolutely love your videos!! There are about 3 people I can watch on TH-cam because they lose my attention. We just got approved a few weeks ago and did our first live a week ago. We had no clue what we were doing b/c our posh coffee training was a huge glitch from beginning to end, but she still gave us all the code 🤷🏼♀️ Your videos were our life saver. I’m going to be in your live sale tonight because I’m a fan of you, even though I don’t even know what Skiems are🤷🏼♀️ We’ve been dabbling in reselling for 3 years it’s been a hobby .. and hobby’s cost 💲.. time to either take it seriously or find something else. My challenge has been, I’m a connector. Online sales does not give me that relationship factor that drives me, I’m hoping Posh lives will be the change I’m looking for.
I hate Live sales. I think it is the WORST THING that Posh has ever forced on us. They make us sell things for practically nothing. People expect to get something for nothing.
@@Kristyunplugged oh, ok. Thank you for assuming. I see that you think everyone is like you, and no one can have an opinion without being name called ‘mean’. Got it.
Live sales seem to look like sad yard sales. Nothing worse than the host dancing around to rap music and cleavage hanging out!!! NOT IMPRESSED!! The cheap pricing downgrades POSHMARK from “Quality Designs” to “Cheapest rummage Sale”. I have seen a few very well done presentations but the Majority are really very lame.
Did this video answer all of your questions? If not comment below with anymore you have.
I don’t see “My Posh Shows”
Do you have to be posh ambassador?
@@criseidipicazo Yes, POSH has to invite you to run a live show. NOT every Posher is qualified.
I am also a seller. I love your content! Thank you for sharing.
I totally agree
Totally agree. I feel if Poshmark really wants to keep live shows, and entice those adamantly against it, LOWER YOUR FEE TO 10%.
I totally feel this & relate.
It's really hard when you're first starting. Especially now- it takes a lot of dedication.
I second that😅
I've seen this as well.
Thank you for taking the time to explain the posh lives in detail.
It was really helpful😊😊😊
My first live show starts in 12 minutes lol! Thanks for the crash course
You're my kind of gal. I'm legit going on in 2 hours. . 😂😂😂 first tutorial 🙌🏼😂
I’ve just been a lurker on the Posh shows and jump from show to show to learn stuff (like what sells, at what price, brands, etc). I did my first show last Sunday. I did just ok
There’s a lot of marketing we do to keep our audience on posh shows and a lot of working around poshmarks features they need for us but haven’t done.
Live shows is nothing new. It's QVC online.
Ashley you so brave women do posh show live, move all your items make money, you are hardwork women, you are the real bussines couple.
I really appreciate you saying that. I honestly couldn't do it without my husband I really love what he and I are able to do together.
You will be successful next go around. Don’t give up
Ashley, thank you so much for making a most helpful video for new sellers. I'm ready to schedule my first live show after watching this. It was worth my time to watch your entire video. I appreciate all your tips. Please help us how to promote and get more exposure before the show. What are the best way to get more people click on your covershot and writing best title, description and tags? Thanks again. 🥰
Let me know if this is something you’re still working on. I’m looking at doing an updated posh live mini series so I could go into that.
I FINALLY got the confidence to do a Posh Show JUST TO FIND OUT That I have to be on a waitlist 😢 ???
I have no idea what to do now...
Help
I don't have access to schedule a show on Posh
I wish I understood why.
Great inquiry
That's what I'm wondering too
You really have to have someone either step in for you here - otherwise you won't be able to take a 5-10 minute long bathroom break on your own very well without the possibility of losing some folks off the live unless you just have that good of a following or that many viewers.
I have never done a live show I make over 5k a month on poshmark alone . If you seek what people want you will make sales .
How do we figure out what people want?
@@Lara-EL Right, buy what's trending still no sales, I buy vintage, no sales, I'm confused and frustrated!
@@Lara-EL That comes with experience and researching Solds I am already over 5K on Poshmark for April
I LOVE live shows!! I love the connection with people I hope to get to know my customers!
Oh that’s good to know that you choose the price. Thank you for letting me know.
What?! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
This was very informative, I want to move inventory..it does seem like a lot of work, but it may be worth the risk to make more money.
I love shopping. Going to go live very soon. Looking forward to it. Thanks for all your time doing these videos!!
Absolutely! 3 more mini videos on this series is coming soon!
Thank you Ashley for all this important info on shows. I've done lots of silent shows, with mic on so I can talk with audience. My challenge is building an audience. In the future, I plan on doing share shows, if I have a decent number in audience.
I really like it. Thank you so much you guys so awesome.🎉🎉🎉❤
Thank you for sharing that! I love that you appreciate this.
Posh live show takes away from our sales. I tried to list everyday and no sales
Today was the first day I heard about you through a show on TH-cam I was watching with you and Becky Park. I have now liked and subscribed I am looking to do online live shows. Trying to convert all the way to a stay-at-home mom
That was such a fun interview. I really enjoyed that. So glad we have met!
Agreed. Be professional but authentic. I laugh. My shows know my dog Sophie. And they love when I go digging for items! 🎁
That’s so fun! I love it when you’re customers care about what you’re doing and your family.
Where do I find the live button
You are so lucky that you have a husband that helps you. Mine thinks I need real job and has no interest in helping. Great advice in your video.
omg I've never even heard of Poshmark lol Thank you! Subscribed! Cheers!
Thats awesome! I'll be doing some updated videos about it.
Yes, what are the best days and times to do either a live or silent show?
BTW I found you because of the wonderful things Rachel Strickland said about you on the Nurse Flipper's live TH-cam chat tonight.🎉
That’s why I’m hosting posh n coffee events right now. To train up people on how to properly do a show.
@Ashley Wheeler Thank you for your service!! 🙏
Actually, I think I saw your Posh-N-Coffee on the list for today, and the timing wasn't good for me to attend. But I'm so glad that you experienced Poshers are willing to do these!
I want to learn to do lives - I also like to know suggestions on where to purchase pallets? I used to do clothes drop shipping
with cc wholesale
I have a lot of videos on my channel of different wholesale boxes. Have you seen those?
Ashley, what if someones bundle goes over 5 lbs? How do you go about that?
That's what I'm trying to figure out 🙄
I love my silent auctions. we still can chat back and forth. customer gets complete information this way.
its the chatter and the screaming host and …. the awful booming loud background music …. that ain’t really in the background
I found so many so awful !!!
I'm so glad that is working for you
I am planning to include Live Shows in my selling...thanks for your video...very helpful!
😊
Do you have a video on “dropping soon” shows? Like how does that work?
After the show, can ppl look at the "past video" and order from there?
I wish they would give that as an option. Unfortunately you can't
Great Video!!!!
I appreciate that. I'll be doing an updated Posh Show Live video probably this weekend.
Lol
Oh my goodness, you will do so well with this than. I believe in you! Keep me posted how it goes.
I’m excited to do my first live! This is so helpful! Question: how soon after not selling an item do you add it to another live show?
The more you can be consistent, the better. So go live daily, couple times a day, however much you want.
You got this! Best of luck!
That’s amazing!! Congratulations on your first live show. I can’t wait for you to complete it.
Very informative video. Looking to learn some of the technical information as well… not too savvy with the technology area. Do you need a phone and iPad together to do a show?
Wow! Thanks for the info, I can’t wait to get started with my BORICUA SHOW.
Have you done a show yet? How did it go?
I don't love the idea of live sales, I'm what I would call and ambivert. I can be social in social situations when needed but I am for the most part a quiet introspective person. Live sales are a means to an end. I was recently approved to do them but need some time to prepare (buy a tripod and lights etc)
I’m glad you’re going to try it out! You can always do it around a window so the light is better too.
Just saw this! Let me know if you figured it out.
What if you create the bundle and send it to them and they don't pay? How long do you give them?
I got notified through email. Have you sent an email to the Poshmark live official email?
@@AshleyWheeler2.0 hi! Do you have their live official email? Can you share please?
Can you do a updated video on bundles, how to make one, and shipping cost!!
I’m actually working on an updated posh live show series and shipping is coming up soon
Thank you!!
I cant speak on where they are getting their inventory so I don't know. That is a business decision they are making.
I think it is crazy that Poshmark charges so much for under $15 sales. I also think it should be part of their AI to do the bundling for you. That seems like a lot of EXTRA work to bundle. It is great that it's possible, but there are better ways, such as the way WN does it.😊
Great Video super helpful
My first show was last Friday made $70 hopefully it wasn’t just because it was the first show and I had #firstlive in the title
I been trying to start with the poshmark live shows but the icon has f live videos is not appearing in my count for some reason 🤦🏻♀️
Does poshmark still not bundle and you have to do it yourself ?
I always say I’ll Pray for you love lmao usually shuts people down
Hi, so I had a live show 12/19/2022 and my bags where already at 5lbs each.
100% people don't realize the work AFTER the show. It's SOOOO much work.
That is awesome, congratulations on your sales.
Can someone help me get my closet reinstated I have reached out and am really hoping someone would offer to help me I want to shop and continue poshing but it seems as if my closet is blank
Today was my first time going live on a silent show and I sold a LV FOR 3$ 😮 I canceled asap 😂
I want to be a seller and do live shows. For some reason posh says I’m ineligible.
Super helpful!
Yay! I'm glad to hear that.
Honestly I would say play around with both ideas. I am constantly trying new things to see what my customers like. Have you done any shows?
I’ve been with PM since 2018 and I don’t have an option to do a live??
Did you recently get an email saying you were able to go live? Ive had access for several months and I just got one the other day so I think they sent a new wave of people access.
Love your videos. I love watching and buying. I want to sell. Waiting for the opportunity.
I get soooo many show alerts, that i unfollowed a bunch of people. plus i'm there to mostly sell.
There is a way to remove the notification for when people go live.
Well silent auction is similar like ebay action, the only difference is on Poshmark is live!
Exactly. Did you see that eBay is also going to start Live Shows?
Any idea why my video wouldn’t turn the right way?
Like your screen was flip to the side?
I deeply despise silent auctions. I will not attend.
They finally separated silent auctions from live auctions.
Hi Ashley! I’m new here, and been a posh seller for a bit now. Never done a live and I’m ok with doing one. Is there a class on how to do it ? I know I have to keep sharing I’m still working on that. Can you guide me in this pls?
@Elena Fisher I'm seeking to do the same.
There is a blog post Poshmark did that has a link for you to sign up to go live. That’s the first step, have you guys done that?
I am interested in selling live
I absolutely love your videos!! There are about 3 people I can watch on TH-cam because they lose my attention.
We just got approved a few weeks ago and did our first live a week ago. We had no clue what we were doing b/c our posh coffee training was a huge glitch from beginning to end, but she still gave us all the code 🤷🏼♀️
Your videos were our life saver. I’m going to be in your live sale tonight because I’m a fan of you, even though I don’t even know what Skiems are🤷🏼♀️
We’ve been dabbling in reselling for 3 years it’s been a hobby .. and hobby’s cost 💲.. time to either take it seriously or find something else.
My challenge has been, I’m a connector. Online sales does not give me that relationship factor that drives me, I’m hoping Posh lives will be the change I’m looking for.
Curious if you know - why doesn't Poshmark connect with TikTok?
I hate Live sales. I think it is the WORST THING that Posh has ever forced on us. They make us sell things for practically nothing. People expect to get something for nothing.
Wow… you seem to be really mean.. and you’re a seller?????? Oh my
@@Kristyunplugged oh, ok. Thank you for assuming. I see that you think everyone is like you, and no one can have an opinion without being name called ‘mean’. Got it.
I don’t think my comment was meant for u because I hate live sells too… I think I posted under wrong comment
@@Kristyunplugged good to know! Thank you!🙏
Live sales seem to look like sad yard sales.
