    This is by far one of the most impressive techniques I've ever seen with continuous lights, thank you so much, I was looking for something like this and I'm glad I've found it!

    Amazing technique once again Jiggie. Most of this type of beauty shot i've seen online always use modifiers and softboxes. But your simple approach opens a practical way to appreciate photography for the budget enthusiast. Perfect!

    I know this is an older video, but great information!! I started photography in the film days on a camera from 1979, and we only had center-weighted metering in the camera....matrix metering didn't exist, and if you wanted to do spot metering, you had to have a separate light meter that was pretty expensive. I have found, for me, the most accurate way to meter is using center-weighted metering, and then adjust the exposure compensation as needed according to the scene. Thank you for putting these videos out there!!

    Incidentally, I am also using Phottix Nauda S3 and two M180. I'm really surprised to see how you managed to shoot low-key portraits with these wonderful LED lights. I so far use the S3 as a softbox fill-light, and the M180 as accent. Seems like there are more creative use of these LED. Thanks for your demo.

    • @JiggieAlejandrino
      @JiggieAlejandrino  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The light coming from the Nuada S3 though is not as soft as the R3 or R4 :) But try it out, it should give you some really dramatic portraits, specially if you use it for split lighting

    I shoot in aperture priority a lot also, especially if I'm photographing children who move a lot. But with adults and teens I usually use ISO 100 AND manual exposure because it's more precise and more dependable.

    Light is light. Knowing the Reverse Square Law you could any type of light from a house lightbulb to the sun and everything in between! This is for the people below who don't understand light. Sad, because light and understanding how light works is the most important thing in Photography! Not the gear, camera, and even composition.
    We see light all the time and think we know it but in reality, most don't understand it or really truly see it.
