Wow This was an awesome review , very relaxing and not too long . I didnt know the amp suit had ratchet shoulders like that! Thanks for showing that feature off, this review persuaded me to grab this mech when it shows up at my local target .

That's pretty neat my man I've always really liked the AMP suits and I'll definitely get one at some point in the near future but when it comes to mechs I prefer a mixture of exo-suit fallout style power armor and the mechs in pacific rim called Jaeger which is German for 'hunter' also I've started making my own gi joe type stuff out of cardboard sure I haven't made anything just yet I still need to gather a few more materials but basically I'll be making a mix of su-7 fighter/fighter-bomber and su-9 and su-11 interceptors and also the two-seater trainer variant of the mig-15.
@@ActionRobotPunch yeah that sounds like a good idea except the only Jaegers in the movies that the amp suit could look similar to would be one of the homemade/black market one's from the size alone also if you haven't seen pacific rim you really should I definitely recommend it it's pretty much almost perfect for any One who likes big mech suits fighting big monsters.

@@toydomination I just googled some of them and they're really cool. They also remind me of the power forklift armor from Aliens. It's neat that they really designed in how the figures fit into the suit. Maybe I aged out by the time these came along.

I think I got it from Warsigil. There are a few companies that make them. I like this one because it’s big -6’x4’. You can also choose the colors etc. Thanks for watching.

I really like the look of it but I can’t tell if it’ll fit a figure. Do you know if it does? The cockpit looked small. But if I can fit a 4”fig I’ll probably get it. The design looks great.
@@ActionRobotPunch I know right! I can’t tell anything about the cockpit size either but I’m making the GRAND assumption that if the AMP fits a 4” figure the Crabsuit must as well. I have absolutely no evidence of this though and belting out $40 in this economy at the chance of having a new 1/18 scale vehicle is dubious at best. If I hear anything I’ll tell you though . Peace 👍

My Amp Suit shelf dived at 5 feet lol. Good thing it's sturdy, But hmm The feet seems to be needing some modding. Maybe you might get some ideas how to fix this one, since I'm probably not the only one who has this issue because of the design.
Is this a newer release? nabbed a couple of these back in the day from the first movie, meaning to customize. Watch out for the leg connector - My first one had the connector to the hip crack, and now the leg won't stay on.
Yes a new release. I don't know if the original ones were also made by mcfarlane toys? Hopefully the connectors on this run won't crack but I'll keep an eye on things. Thanks.
Hey, is that hip connector on your amp still broken? I fixed a couple of those real easy: all you have to do is line up the crack to where you almost can't see it. Next, whip up some plastic bonder epoxy (I used JB weld brand) and smear a moderate band all around the outside of the broken hip connection. Next, use a wide zip tie and pull it taut over the connection and over the epoxy. Not too tight, but snug. Next, you can either leave it like that or over coat the zip tie with more plastic bonder to reinforce it. Make sure the hole the hip peg goes into has no of epoxy in it, and then leave it to dry. You can check periodically to make sure the plastic bonder hasn't run any, but it is thick so it mostly stays put. I hope this helps you!
@@Sklabah You're welcome! Just be sure to keep the epoxy out of moving parts and the amp should be fully rehabilitated! It is a lot more stable a connection once it is reinforced.
Just recently purchased this. The only thing I dislike is how the hands are molded as they don't grip the weapon aswell and its annoying to having to pull the hands to try get the weapon into the palms. Plus the plastic on the hands that is already in the hand socket isn't good. As the thumb section of my hand had recently broke off
The detail in the cockpit is especially better. I found the cockpit in the Halo mech to be really lacking and shaped like a flat bed almost. Thanks for watching.
I saw someone showing a comparison and the older one is smaller. I think because this version is made for a 5" and not a 4" fig but I don't have the older one.

I was thinking the same thing, it looked a bit like the Scopedog, it just needs a head on top and the tracks on the feet

It's a joy toy figure. JoyToy 1/18 - Steiner. I bought him a couple of years ago so you might have to look on ebay.
