I'm really having trouble grabbing the right contact point, usually it just doesn't interact at all and tries to grab the hand from miles away and throws bosh off the sled.
So this problem definitely fixes itself with practice, but what you can do right now to figure it out is maybe make it a smaller line. This gives it a smaller chance to grab the wrong contact point.
@@itsappl Okay I'll try that, I've also noticed that the angle of the line changes which points it will or will not grab, how does that factor into all this?
so uhh sorry for the many comments but....i finally got it...guess i myself can only do it on ONE contact point of the sled...the top front... failed at the back part.....so uhh yeaaah try that part first as it clearly isn't near many contact points.
When i tried to drag around the line to the contact points like you did at 0:33 , Bosch would only see a change in position when i let go of the line. Is there a way to fix this? I assume it's just a settings thing I'm missing
That's an interesting problem actually. I'm not sure if it's a setting but my guess would be the version of Line Rider you are using. I was using Line Rider Advanced: Beta for this tutorial, and I know some other versions are not the same with how they handle live line implementation like that.

Joloxsa Xenax a chain will work just like if he is stuck on the outside of the line so if you do a chain flat or angled up it will slow him down. It will speed him up if you swing him down in some fashion. Flings take a long time to get down but it helps to watch other videos to see how they look.
Gravity wells are incredibly sensitive, and it is very easy to knock Bosh off the sled when you use them because of how powerful they are. It takes a long time to get a good feel for what will work and what won't.

That's definitely the biggest challenge in Line Rider! If the rider and the sled hit a line with too much force, or if they are pulled too strongly with a gravity well, the rider falls off. The key is to be as gentle and graceful when making tracks as you can.

Joe Christo That website or Linerider.com are great ways to play linerider. The physics will not be different between the places you play it so gravity wells will still work. It takes a lot of patience though. Pay attention to how the line is placed in the tutorial vs how the rider is moving before he hits the gravity well. Good luck!

@@joechristo2 I see. I believe the shape difference is purely cosmetic to the program. If you save a track in one and import it to the other, it will work just fine. But the most important thing is that you're comfortable in the program you are using so learning in lr.conundrumer.com is not a problem.

Well there's no reason we can't still keep playing. We have a reddit at /r/linerider and a forum at iridethelines.forumotion.com/ if you want to show off a track you made or just join the community. After 10 years there are still tracks being made and brand new techniques for making cool tracks.
There are a couple versions of Line Rider that allow this but not all versions do. I would check out linerider.com to see if the settings in that version allow for it or search for the other versions on google. When I made this, this version did not support multiple riders.
VilkasKettu if I understand the comment correctly, you may need to put the lines a bit closer to the sled. If it’s too far, it’ll be too strong and pull him too fast and knock him off. If they’re too close though, it’ll pull unwanted contact points as well, usually resulting in him just popping up to the top of the lines. There’s a sweet spot in the middle that you have to find and it takes a while but it’ll work for you if you put in the time.
If you are using line rider advanced use the line adjustment tool and hold alt while adjusting the line and when the line touches the rider and the rider doesn’t die then the line will stop moving so that will help
Adding music is in the settings. You also have to put the music files in the songs folder in your line rider files. Sometimes it needs to convert the song to a .ogg file first but after you let it do that it should be good to go.

There is a setting in Line Rider Advanced that allows you to do this. I believe you just check the 'contact points' box.

What settings do you use? when i try to move the entire line, it move a single end, which i don't want.
Holding control while you move the line will allow you to move the whole line at once, I believe.

How do you download line rider: advanced? I have the zip file I just don't know what to do with it.
It should just be as easy as unzipping it. You should be able to do this by just double clicking it.
When I double click on the zip file it just opens it up to the different files in the game.
Does it show a .exe file or some sort of application in it? Try clicking that if it does.
It shows two line rider parts one is an application and one is just a file. There is an .exe ,but it is linerider.exe.config
Are you trying to run it on mac or PC? I think you should just need to click on the application...

You can create gravity wells in any version of the game.
How i add more riders?

I believe you have to use a specific version of line rider for that. If I'm not mistaken, the version on linerider.com is a version that does that.

Make sure the gravity well does not touch multiple contact points

It's not faked, but it is very common to have difficulties with it starting out. It's certainly a patience test.
