Great, useful review. I definitely love the v13 of the GT-2000. For me, v13 is very noticeably more comfortable and snappier than v12. It's no Superblast, but with my stability needs it is a great longer run option. I loved the Adrenaline GTS 23, but I kind of wish they used the foam in the Hyperion 2 GTS. Besides that, when my calves feel smoked I'll definitely use the Adrenaline v24. Either way, two solid updates.
Nice, now we just need the gts24 launched :D Reg. "snug/fit": It makes sense Adrenaline is a little less snug/wider, as it is one of only 2 stability shoes on the market produced in a narrow model (B width for men), the other being 860. So you if want it more snug/have a narrow foot you can get the narrow adrenaline model.
I supinate and have found the Adrenaline GTS 23 to be a godsend. I have medium to high arches and don't really notice the medial support. It just feels like proper arch support. My only quibble with it was the heel cup, which allowed more slippage than I'd like with the use of carbon plates and prescription orthotics in the mix. The only way to wear them was with a runner's knot/lacing. The GTS 24 has a better heel cup, more cushioning around the opening, that gives me a decent heel lock with the noted inserts in the mix. The 12mm drop in both versions appears to align almost perfectly with my contoured carbon fiber plates. Brooks describes these as support shoes, not stability per se. Some other GTS shoes are indicated as stability shoes and the medial support in those is much more pronounced than it is in the Adrenaline, which feels like a good balance between medial and lateral support.
This is a great review and timely. I'm headed out to grab a third pair to add to my roation of running shoes and I have been looking at exactly both of these. I had the Adrenaline GTS 18(I think, maybe 17) and I liked them and used them well. Ran my first 10k in them, but since have been looking into the Asics since I don't believe that I need as much stability now that I've built up a lot of my muscles. The shoes I currently run in are mild stability shoes and I've done well and they are comfortable, so I may continue on that path unless someone can convince me otherwise. But this video really helped with my decision.
I have both - for true flat feet, the Brooks is way better. The ASICS splays out laterally and does not keep your foot in a good position. I did not ever like the older versions of the Brooks but this redesign may be the best stability lower cushion shoe on the market today. The GT 2000 does not run at all like the Kayano 31 which is the best max cushion stability shoe IMO. I find the new Brooks very light and fast as well (even though I am a slower runner). I would not have known the Brooks has a post unless you told me as it feels like the new generation stability shoes on the market. By far Brooks is a better run for me with very flat feet. Glad you did this video and all the videos on stability shoes. I have tried every pair you have reviewed. Thanks,
They had these at Dicks Sporting Goods for sale even though brooks doesn't sell them till the 1st . I put my regular size on and it was too narrow I almost didn't want anything to do with it. I sized down and it felt better but I order the wide 2e online because I was sizing down and it was way too narrow in my original size and pretty snug in the smaller size . Hope they fit nicely .
Sir can u help me please? Does the GT-2000 12 got a wider toe box then the Adrenaline GTS 23? and The Adrenaline GTS 24 a wider than 23, because the 23 was too narrow for me in the toe box.
thanks, imma stick to my tempus that i got at half price for now and kayano 30. between the 2 i like the tempus more... kayano seem to me more rigid and they fell like they consume more energy, maybe cuz they are not broken in yet ? imma put this 2 on my to try list
Im considering this exact rotation. I also picked up the tempus and I’m loving it but I need something for the recovery runs, easy days, day to day wear. Would you recommend the kayano 30?
How do you use these? I have Tempus and Guide 15. I use guide for daily, and Tempus for racing, long, and some workouts. I’m thinking of just getting two pairs of Tempus.
@@andytlwy i found the kayano more rigid then the tempus and they broke in in about 50 km. the kayano are as well stability trainers so if you want to get just stability shoes yes go for them... they fell different. i also have how skyflow and im using thoose as well for my easier runs but not always. im working on strenghtening my feet so in the future i will hopefully need less support :))
Hi Matt. Thanks for the insightful comparison. I’m considering either the GT2000 or the Mach 6 for my next daily shoe. Apart from the mild stability features of the GT, are there many differences? Or should I just try each pair on and make a decision? Thanks.
@@Smurchdog trying will be best but those are quite different shoes! The GT2000 is heavier, but is the true stability shoe of the two. Good transition, slightly snug and does have some mild speed versatility but the better trainer/daily shoe of the two. The Mach 6 is stable neutral, much lighter and the far faster shoe. It is the better shoe if you want something that easily transitions into faster paces and can easily function as a non-plated racing shoe! Hope that helps!
Is the GT-2000 #13 runable again? Because #12 was a brick, hard like a skiboot! And i have 90kg and the shoe in EU 46 and it didn't flex a tiny bit. The midfoot never touches the ground when heelstriking, it just went heel and slapped to the forefoot. Like a brickstone. I don't understand, since it says FF Blast+ like in all the other shoes... After running in #9, i got this #12. It was so impossible to run, i returned it! (against a Nimbus 26, which i also don't like, but that's a different story). Seriously, I am not overexaggerating, this the only shoe (no matter what type of shoe in general) which is unrunable! Everything else: put on and run. Funny: TH-cam testers said with every GT2000 model: yeah, more of the same, boring! But the #12 got praised as THE stability shoe and new and superduper and whatnot. Just here in there in the depths of the internet (and one reseller i have had contact with) you read or hear from people with similar experiances. Way too hard, unrunable, return or sell. So, I also got GT-2000 #11 (the #10 is supposed to be like #9) and compared to #9 is is wider and stiffer, so in between #9 and unrunable #12. You can run in them, but it is hard and no shock absorbtion. Everything goes into the knees. Then i still got a #10 and it is like #9, but slightly better. No fking wide plattform or super stiff (mid?)sole. Just a "normal" GT2000: put on and run in them. At the end: I have a GT-2000 #10 as the last and best GT-2000 model and sold the rest. But i don't even run in them, since i need more shock absorption to protect my knees (i feel my left meniscus - MRT says horizontal tear in medial meniscus) i ran (ran - i have stopped for now) in Novablast 4 TRs, got and tested more shoes with higher stack. Due to analysis my gait is perfectly neutral, so i probably won't need "stability" but it maybe nice to have a little bit pronantion support for the last km when you go all out and your feet get really tired. Sooo... how is the GT-2000 #13? :) Softer, roll, turnover... runable again? Or just a marginal update to the brickstone?
Sorry Matt, I'm really not interested in your take on this, I'm only here for Isabellas far more detailed and engaging opinions! 😂

Which is faster GT 2000 13 or GT 1000 13?
i would like the GT2000 to evolve into a stability SuperBlast 37/29? lower stack and work turbo+ midsole with 3d guidance. *puregel is pointless now
With a nice rocker like the SB
Would you say the adrenaline has a rocker?

What was your experience with the gt2000 12...mine are dead at just under 400km. I'm a little disappointed with that.
Just looking at the midsole it doesn’t look like a 12 mm drop. I wonder if Brooks just carried that stat over without actually measuring it.
