Holy wow, my city would destroy all of these perks so fast. The apathy that comes with poverty disparities is real- when the government doesn't care about you, people who feel powerless learn that to feel powerful is to feel apathetic. Add to that, to be homeless, addicted, or in poverty otherwise really makes caring for these public perks a low priority it seems. Odds are these things would be built with low budget, break easily, not be taken care of by the community, and then take months to prioritize fixing, given all the other urgent issues that are also not being properly addressed. It's sad, but it amazes me that this can work somehow somewhere. Makes me happy to see.

Oh my god……. I can’t express enough appreciation to who ever put those heated benches on the bus stops. It’s a freaking life saver when you have to wait for the bus in the blistering cold… they even put a shield/guard thing on each sides of the bench and in the middle to guard you from the wind and it also sections you off from whoever’s sitting next to you which is really nice🥹😭👍

Holy wow, my city would destroy all of these perks so fast. The apathy that comes with poverty disparities is real- when the government doesn't care about you, people who feel powerless learn that to feel powerful is to feel apathetic. Add to that, to be homeless, addicted, or in poverty otherwise really makes caring for these public perks a low priority it seems. Odds are these things would be built with low budget, break easily, not be taken care of by the community, and then take months to prioritize fixing, given all the other urgent issues that are also not being properly addressed.
It's sad, but it amazes me that this can work somehow somewhere. Makes me happy to see.

Oh my god……. I can’t express enough appreciation to who ever put those heated benches on the bus stops. It’s a freaking life saver when you have to wait for the bus in the blistering cold… they even put a shield/guard thing on each sides of the bench and in the middle to guard you from the wind and it also sections you off from whoever’s sitting next to you which is really nice🥹😭👍
