The thing I like is that you stick to the lessons and you don't talk too much about yourself .... Your experience is in what and how you teach. I think I can get the idea of how extensive your educational background is. Also the dedication you put into this. Its no easy feat to teach others a new language...especially to someone like me.

I really like the German-English-German pattern for the example sentences. It makes it much easier to understand the German when it comes before AND after the English.

Interesting side note: warten is one of several verbs having two or more meanings. In addition to "to wait" it can also mean "to maintain something". Therefore, "Ich warte auf Janina" and "Ich warte Janina." have very different meanings.
"Warten , wartēn in Old German, has been around for quite a while but as so many other words it used to mean something different… something along the lines of to direct ones gaze at something or more simple to look at something. This goes back to the really really old Indo-European root *u̯er(e)-." In Greek, there is the word θωρώ(thor'o). It means "to see, to watch". It is indeed a very old Indo-European word...
